The Shoo-Fly Classic is offering both road and gravel options for 2026. For the roadies out there, we're offering the three traditional mileage options of 20, 40 or 62 miles. For the gravel cyclists out there, come join us for an approachable yet challenging 26-mile loop with just under 1,900-feet of climbing! Cyclists of all ages and abilities will enjoy the scenic roads of the Oley valley in beautiful Berks County. Enjoy rides that meander through gently rolling farmland, some punchy climbs for our gravel grinders, a covered bridge, multiple historic landmarks of the Oley valley and an assortment of great food and drinks from our local county businesses. Sponsors for 2025 included Good's Potato Chips, Unique Snacks, Nature's Garden, Kutztown Soda Works, Redner's Markets, and Weis Markets. The ride offers stocked rest stops, SAG support, cue-sheets and Ride with GPS routes, road markings for the road routes and lunch. RIDE LOCATION AND START/FINISH: The ride starts and finishes at the Oley Fairgrounds, 26 Jefferson St, Oley, PA. 19547 (Two blocks from the intersection of Route 662 and Route 73).
CHECK-IN, RIDE START AND EVENT DAY REGISTRATION & PAYMENT: Check-in and ride start will be open from 8:00AM to 9:30AM. This is NOT a mass-start event. You may start your ride anytime between 8:00AM and 9:30AM after you have checked in, signed the waiver (if needed) and received your ride sheet. PLANNING YOUR RIDE: PLEASE TAKE NOTE OF THE START/FINISH AREA HOURS, REST AREA HOURS AND OPTIONAL SPONSOR STOP AND PLAN YOUR START TIME ACCORDINGLY! For those cyclists planning to complete the metric century ride while taking advantage of both rest stops and completing the ride before the start/finish area closure, the Club strongly encourages you to start your ride no later than 8:30AM.
COMMEMORATIVE SHIRT: Cyclists who register on or before September 1st will receive a commemorative shirt.
REQUIREMENTS: Cyclists MUST wear a helmet. No headphones allowed.
EBIKE POLICY: Ebikes are welcome at the Shoo-Fly, however anyone riding a Class II ebike must complete a separate waiver at the time of registration/check-in on the day of the event.
RIDE SUPPORT & ROAD MARKINGS: A SAG support phone number will be provided to all cyclists regardless of their course selection on the cue sheet. The gravel route will be unmarked.

Many have enjoyed the challenge of the Savage as a “ride of passage”. Others return each year to enjoy the rural beauty of Chester and Lancaster Counties—from the simple charm of Pennsylvania Dutch and Amish farmlands to the scenic vistas from the hills along the Susquehanna River. Warm up on rolling hills heading west of Newark DE toward Nottingham PA. Then head for steeper hills and put your training to the test on the infamous Slate Hill, Bradys Hill, Pilgrims Pathway and Furniss Road!
For those new to the Savage Century, it is recommended for the longer routes that bikes be equipped with a low gear of about 40 gear-inches (e.g. 28-tooth rear sprocket and 42-tooth chain ring on typical road bike with a 27-inch tire) or lower to prevent undue strain on the major hills. Come for the ride. Ride for the challenge!

For 2026, Jack-O-Lantern 5K & 10K will be celebrating 8 years. The races will be along the scenic Upper Bucks Rail Trail in the Quakertown area. The Pumpkin Challenge was a huge success last year, and it is sure to sell out again. Be sure to check out the family friendly pricing. The Knights of Columbus – Quakertown and Richland Township Fire & Rescue present this year’s race. Proceeds will mainly be directed to the new Richland Township Fire & Rescue - Utility Vehicle fund.
Start Time:
We will start the 5K and 10K races at 8 am. Pace times will be posted in the start area to help runners self seed themselves so we do not need a wave start. The event is chipped timed. The start and finish lines will be on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail. Both races will head south towards Veterans Park.
Student Pricing:
We know races can be expensive, that is why we are going to continue reducing or eliminating fees for those 19 years old and younger. We will split up the under 19 Age Group into 10 to 19 and Under 10. Anyone age 10 to 19 will pay half price the regular adult cost. The Pumpkin Challenge can still be added on at the $6 additional cost. Anyone 9 years old will be free! Yes, free for both the 5K and 10K. They will receive only a shirt and are not eligible for the Pumpkin Challenge for their safety.
Pumpkin Challenge:
If you are looking to take home a pumpkin and an added prize, this may be the thing for you. You can add the pumpkin challenge to your race registration fee. By participating in the challenge, you will get to pick your choice of pumpkin weighing between 2 to 5 lb. from our patch. You will need to carry the pumpkin the entire race and bring it back in 1 piece. If successful, you get to keep your pumpkin and receive a Pumpkin Challenge finisher prize. No carrying devices allowed (infant carriers, etc.). Runners under the age of 9 are unable to participate in this challenge.

Each of the Races will have Overall and Age Groups, Top overall female and male, Top Master female and male, Top 3 in each age groups.

Amenities: Shirts are back this year. All participants Age 10 and over who sign up by Sept 7th will receive a moisture wicking short sleeve shirt. Under 10 will receive a cotton shirt. The course will be on the packed gravel Upper Bucks Rail Trail and will also go through the paved Richland Twp Veterans Park for both the 5K and 10K. Indoor restrooms will be available. We will also have Port-O-Potties to reduce the restroom lines. Free post race food from local establishments will be available.
Notes:
The race will start and finish on the Upper Bucks Rail Trail, just across the parking lot from the Richland Township Fire & Rescue building at 64 Shelly Rd, Quakertown, PA 18951.
Packet pick up will be available on Friday (9/26) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and Saturday from 6:30 to 7:50 am at the Richland Twp Fire & Rescue building.

US Road Running
Join us for the next leg of our Tour De South Jersey Series. This leg is another ride through scenic bike ride through Southern New Jersey The ride will start and end at Farmers & Bankers Brewing . After the ride join us at the brewery for your complimentary beer and some post ride fun. This will be a semi supported ride. We will have a marked route with signs and arrows to direct you. The route will also be available for you to download. We will also have several aide stations on course. Limited SAG support will also be available.
This is a ride in open traffic. You are expected to wear a helmet and follow safety and traffic rules.

Vet Fest 2026

Vet Fest provides an annual uplifting opportunity for the military and civilian communities to stand together against military and veteran suicide. Focusing on physical fitness, participants are invited to run, ruck, ride, roll or walk their way through their community.
Honoring the founding location of Vet Fest, Whitehall Delaware will still host the annual event with participants from around the country invited to join in nationally where they are. Virtual runs and rides will take place all weekend long - banning together as a nation to benefit Stop Soldier Suicide’s efforts to reduce the epidemic of military suicide.
All registrants will be mailed a commemorative Vet Fest 2026 event T-shirt. Register by SEPTEMBER 1st to guarantee your shirt shipment before Vet Fest on September 26th!

But don't hit escape velocity! It seems like almost every year a team leaves before final awards that made the podium. You must be present to get your gear!
Farm event rules:
NO DOGS – Big, little, pure, mutt we love them all, but the only dogs allowed are the family farm dogs. THIS INCLUDES EVERYONE, NOT JUST CAMPERS.
No open fires. You can bring your portable grills or campfire rings but no open campfires.
No smoking anything.
Kids supervised – You’re invited and encouraged to bring your entire family to our events. We require that children have adult supervision while on the farm at all times and you, as the parent or guardian, must provide this supervision. There are 2 ponds and there will be no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.
RE: Kids in the pond – This is a big attraction for the youngsters and a great way for them to spend some time. However, please be aware that the boats and floating dock are the Oesterlings property and they must be treated with care. Abuse of these items or any other property will not be tolerated. Destruction of property will result in immediate ejection from the property.
Keep it quiet during quiet times. Quiet hours are 10pm – 7am. There will be plenty of time for you to be rowdy and loud cheering on the other racers.
Don’t be a jerk.
Respect the property. For more than two decades now you’ve been pretty solid, which is why we keep inviting you all back. Please remember that the Oesterlings live here all year long, have been incredibly supportive of mountain biking and ‘cross racing on this property and are my in-laws! Please thank the Oesterlings for their hospitality whenever you have the chance.
DO NOT LITTER. I’m not just talking about around the venue where we will have some trash receptacles, but do not drop your used gel packs on the course. I know you’re quite sure that those used foil containers are going to weigh you down and keep you from winning, but if you’re caught littering the course you’ll be DQ’d (and that don’t mean I’m taking you out for a BliZzard). Put that packet back in your jersey pocket or under your leg band ’til the end of the race. The only place you will be allowed to drop the food wrappers is at the start/finish line/feed zone area where they must be picked up by a teammate or your support person. DO NOT LITTER or leave your unwanted trash or debris behind.
Pack out what you pack in. Going along really well with #9 above. Bring a big ol’ trash bag, put your garbage in your big ol’ trash bag, put your big ol’ trash bag in your car, put your car in your driveway, and put your trash in your trashcan at home. Thanks for helping us keep the place clean. Helping us with little things like this keeps the event going because it keeps my crew, my folks, my outlaws, and my wife happy!

Medals will be awarded to top three overall finishers and top three Delaware resident finishers (men and women) in following age categories - 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84
5k is mostly flat
10k has some technical sections in first 5k (tight radius turn and some chicanes), second half is the 5k course. No turnaround required
Course is on C&D Canal Trail - 2 lanes wide, paved surface in very good condition
Course will not be closed to other users (walkers, dogwalkers, joggers, and casual riders) so be aware of these potential hazards. Canal Trail does not get high volume of users on weekdays during early morning hours.

Back this year is the Kings Gap TT/Hill Climb, in memorial of Deborah Barisch, whom we unexpectedly lost in February of 2019. Deb was a pillar of her community and will be forever missed by those who knew her. Please join us in memorializing her memory at this event. A portion of the proceeds of this event will be donated to the Friends of Kings Gap organization.
Kings Gap State Park features a winding 4-mile paved road that climbs at an average gradient of 5%. It is almost entirely shaded corridor and will be closed to vehiclar traffic during the race. Day-of registration is available for an additional $10.00.
All event services including parking, check-in/registration, restrooms, etc. will be at the top of the mountain, adjacent to the mansion.
Here are a couple of critical reminders that we are asking you all to address prior to showing up:
Please DO NOT come to the race if you have been sick in the past 14 days, run a fever, or not felt well.
Maintain 6 feet of social distance from others as much as possible off the bike.
Clean your hands before eating, touching your face, etc. Hand sanitizer is very effective and easily transported.
Clean equipment after the ride. Disinfectant wipes, soap and water, 70% isopropyl alcohol all work.
Our start/finish gantry crosses the road. DO NOT DRIVE UNDERNEATH THE GANTRY. You will be held liable for any damages to your property or ours.
The Breakthrough Challenge was founded in 2013. Our goal is to raise funds supporting breakthroughs in cancer research at Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center by uniting for a scenic and inspiring bike ride through Eastern PA's beautiful Oley Valley.

Join us as we bring running back to the Greenwich Craft Faire. For years the Teaburner 5k was a major part of the Craft Faire weekend. We are excited to bring running back in a bigger and better way. In addition the the 5k we are having a 5 mile and a 1 mile race. The course consists of FLAT and FAST scenic roads. Great for PR's.
All registrants receive a finisher medal and shirt.

Awards for 1 mile will be given to top 5 male and female overall winners.
All races will be chipped timed

Join us for the 5th Annual Friends 5K Run/Walk benefiting the Friends of the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center & Research Institute. This year's event will be at the Helen F. Graham Cancer Center campus in Newark, Delaware.
Proceeds for this year's race will be used to support groundbreaking bench-to-bedside cancer research in order to speed the discoveries made in scientific labs to clinical trials that benefits patients.
Your support will help provide vital early-stage funding to accelerate translational cancer research.
