Franklin County Cyclists presents MICHAUX GRVL 2026

The Franklin County Cyclists are excited to once again host Michaux GRVL for 2026, and are offering 4 awesome routes with a fun scavenger hunt on all courses for everyone!

We are continuing to partner with 2 great local groups for this event; Friends of Michaux State Forest and Bulldog Bike Park. Proceeds from this year's event will be distributed to both groups, and each will be active participants in the event by running aid stations and providing volunteers along the route.

    Our 2026 Beneficiaries:

MICHAUX GRVL 2026 is a ride and race to be taken at your own pace. We will be offering timing on each route for those interested in their personal statistics, and results will be posted on our website following the event. The fast may go fast & the slow may go slow. The routes we've got on tap take you through some wonderful scenery, so stop and take it in!

We recommend the use of gravel bikes with tires of at least 35mm for any route since some stretches of road can be chunky and there is a risk of punctures with smaller tires on the downhill sections of the courses.

There will be no day-of registrations, and all participants must complete their registrations on BikeReg prior to the close of the event registration. We are coordinating a pre-race packet pick up on Friday evening 6-8pm September 25, 2026 with Michaux Brewing Co. (11657 Buchanan Trail E, Waynesboro, PA 17268). Day-of packet pick up will be available prior to the start - we STRONGLY encourage 100 mile riders to pick their packet up the day prior.

--THESE NOTES ARE TENTATIVE AND SUBJECT TO CHANGE AS WE EVALUATE NEW COURSES FOR 2026 BUT SIMILAR FORMAT TO FOLLOW, CHECK BACK SOON!--

100 Mile Start time: 6:30am - FRONT AND REAR LIGHTS ARE REQUIRED

    65 Mile Start Time: 8:30am

    45 Mile Start Time : 9:30am

    15 Mile Start Time: 10:00am

AID STATION AND FINISH CUTOFF TIMES

While we want everyone to have a great time and finish the ride, we also must take into consideration the length of time our volunteer SAG motos are out on the course. Due to this, we will be STRICTLY enforcing cutoff times for Aid Stations, Food Truck, and the Finish Line.

All Riders must cross the timing mat at the start of the ride and completion of their chosen route in order to receive an accurate ride time The Ride Organizers will do their best to ensure that all riders who start the ride are accounted for at the end, but it is the responsibility of the rider to make sure they either cross the mat or check in at the registration table at the completion of the ride.

BIG FLAT AID STATION CUTOFF - 12PM

PINE GROVE FURNACE AID STATION CUTOFF - 1:30PM

TEABERRY MINI STATION CUTOFF (100mi route only) - 2PM

    US30 CUTOFF (100mi route only) - 1:30PM

    FINISH LINE CUTOFF - 4:30PM

Route markings for each course will be designated using signs and colored arrows ( specific to each route). Route marking colors will be displayed at the route start.

GPS files for each route along with cue sheets will be available through an online link. It's strongly recommended that you use a GPS bike computer and load the files as course markings may be inaccurate due to other forces of nature (and humans).

If you need to coordinate an earlier start time, please contact us - you will not be eligible for race placing but we can still give you a time.

This is a rain or shine event and no refunds will be given, so please plan accordingly when signing up by using the BikeReg insurance if you have an eligible reason for a refund.

Participants will receive with their paid entry a meal voucher and beer vouchers good towards a post ride lunch and 2 beers (ages 21+ ONLY) at a Food Truck that will be on hand that day. Upon completion of their route, participants must take their registration ticket to the registration table to receive their meal/beer voucher. Beer is being provided by Michaux Brewing Co!

FCC members who register for the event are encouraged to wear their FCC kit!

Royal Awards Ceremony – 3:30PM (ish) Have some space grog, enjoy the show and chill like you’re in suspended animation, we’ll be landing shortly.

But don't hit escape velocity! It seems like almost every year a team leaves before final awards that made the podium. You must be present to get your gear!

    Farm event rules:

    1. NO DOGS – Big, little, pure, mutt we love them all, but the only dogs allowed are the family farm dogs. THIS INCLUDES EVERYONE, NOT JUST CAMPERS.

    2. No open fires. You can bring your portable grills or campfire rings but no open campfires.

    3. No smoking anything.

    4. Kids supervised – You’re invited and encouraged to bring your entire family to our events. We require that children have adult supervision while on the farm at all times and you, as the parent or guardian, must provide this supervision. There are 2 ponds and there will be no lifeguard on duty. Swimming is at your own risk.

RE: Kids in the pond – This is a big attraction for the youngsters and a great way for them to spend some time. However, please be aware that the boats and floating dock are the Oesterlings property and they must be treated with care. Abuse of these items or any other property will not be tolerated. Destruction of property will result in immediate ejection from the property.

    1. Keep it quiet during quiet times. Quiet hours are 10pm – 7am. There will be plenty of time for you to be rowdy and loud cheering on the other racers.

    2. Don’t be a jerk.

    3. Respect the property. For more than two decades now you’ve been pretty solid, which is why we keep inviting you all back. Please remember that the Oesterlings live here all year long, have been incredibly supportive of mountain biking and ‘cross racing on this property and are my in-laws! Please thank the Oesterlings for their hospitality whenever you have the chance.

    4. DO NOT LITTER. I’m not just talking about around the venue where we will have some trash receptacles, but do not drop your used gel packs on the course. I know you’re quite sure that those used foil containers are going to weigh you down and keep you from winning, but if you’re caught littering the course you’ll be DQ’d (and that don’t mean I’m taking you out for a BliZzard). Put that packet back in your jersey pocket or under your leg band ’til the end of the race. The only place you will be allowed to drop the food wrappers is at the start/finish line/feed zone area where they must be picked up by a teammate or your support person. DO NOT LITTER or leave your unwanted trash or debris behind.

    5. Pack out what you pack in. Going along really well with #9 above. Bring a big ol’ trash bag, put your garbage in your big ol’ trash bag, put your big ol’ trash bag in your car, put your car in your driveway, and put your trash in your trashcan at home. Thanks for helping us keep the place clean. Helping us with little things like this keeps the event going because it keeps my crew, my folks, my outlaws, and my wife happy!

    6. We reserve the right to create and impose further rules or do whatever else we want!
