    BACK ONCE AGAIN!!!

    RACE THE COURSE 5K/10K

    LEPRECHAUNS ON THE LINKS

SUPPORTING ACCESSIBILITY FOR ALL TO LMT PARKS

Back once again, join us for the 4th running of the Lower Makefield Township "Race the Course 5K & 10K" on Saturday, March 14th. This year just in time for St. Patty's Day. This event is open to all individuals and supports Lower Makefield Parks and Recreation in their continued goal to improve disability access to township parks for all individuals.

Unique about this event, it is run on the cart paths of the Makefield Highlands Golf Club in Yardley, PA. This is very special as most golf courses never allow runners or walkers on the course. If you have never played golf there, Makefield Highlands is a beautiful property residing on the former Pleasant Valley Estate Farm with history traced to the early eighteenth century.

The 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will be contained mostly on the flatter front 9 holes of the golf course, while the 10K will start on the front 9 but finish on the back nine holes of the golf course which has a few more challenging hills.

All paying participants registered by March 1st will receive a custom designed Race the Course shirt in their preferred size and the first 200 paid registrations will also receive a custom designed Race the Course medal. Shirts are not guaranteed for those registering after March 1st. We will have a limited number of extra shirts while supplies last.

Note: We ordered extra medals - as of 3/2 we still have lots of medals and shirts available! But register now before they are gone!

We encourage everyone to wear St. Patrick's Day themed attire.

    Race Information

    Date: Saturday, March 14, 2026

Course: Paved (cart path) format over a rolling hill course on the Makefield Highlands Golf Club property. Distance: 10K (6.2 miles), 5k (3.1 miles) or 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk

Location: Makefield Highlands Golf Club, 1418 Woodside Road, Yardley, PA 19067

    Saturday, March 21, 2026

10:00 AM - Cairn University, Langhorne, PA

Raising Awareness and Support for Down Syndrome Individuals

Cairn University Athletics and RUN 12:1 Running Club are excited to once again host the Rock Your Socks 5K run/walk for Down Syndrome.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is celebrated every year on March 21st (3/21) because people with down syndrome are born with 3 copies of the 21st chromosome. And because crazy and colorful socks are a symbol of WDSD, we ask everyone to wear the craziest most colorful pair (or miss-matched pair) of socks they can during the race to help raise awareness for down syndrome.

This year's race falls on WDSD, so we will actually be running on 3/21!! Also new this year, we are awarding RACE MEDALS to all runners (instead of the traditional race shirt)! But as usual, in addition to traditional race prizes, prizes will also be awarded to those with the craziest socks at the live event.

The proceeds from this event will go toward the Cairn Student Scholarship Fund for a student planning to work with special needs individuals.

Register now for either our 5K or our family-friendly 1-mile fun run. There is also a virtual option for those who prefer or are unable to join us in person on March 21st.

So, be sure to wear your most colorful, crazy, and/or mismatched socks to raise awareness and support for Down Syndrome individuals! Special prizes for those with the craziest socks!

Again, we do not issue any refunds, transfers or credits for any reason.

Elle's Angels Foundation was started in November 2021 in honor of our 5 year old daughter, Elle, who passed from an inoperable brain tumor called DIPG. Elle was a kind, compassionate and resilient, little girl who inspired many throughout her journey.

Brain cancer kills more kids than any other type, and DIPG is responsible for almost half of all pediatric brain cancer deaths. With a nearly 0% survival rate and less than 1% of federal cancer research funding earmarked for ALL types of pediatric brain cancer. Doctors and hospitals rely on DIPG families with supporters like you to help fund their cancer research efforts. Please help join us in our fight against DIPG.

All proceeds will go to Elle’s Angels Foundation, whose mission is to fund essential research to discover effective treatments for pediatric brain cancer, with a focus on DIPG. To learn more about Elle's Angels Foundation, please visit us at www.ellesangelsfoundation.org

This year's Sesame Place Classic is the 26th running of this ever-popular event.

Sponsored by the Levittown Bristol Kiwanis Club and the Bucks County Herald, the Classic will have all the usual fun, namely a featured 5K, a one-mile fun run/walk, and a kids’ sprint event.

Each year, the race includes a free, one-day admission ticket to Sesame Place for all who register. Every runner or walker gets a “finisher’s medal,’’ which proved to be quite popular in previous years. Oh, and did we mention the cool collectible race T-shirt? (Due to the need to pre-order, T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register before April 15th)

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can I push a stroller in the 5k or 1 Mile race?

Yes. A runner can push a stroller in the 5k and 1 Mile races. We ask that racers with strollers line up at the rear of the pack at the starting line for the safety of all runners.

Can I run in both the 1 Mile and the 5k races?

Yes, you may run in both. In order to be timed in both races, you’d need to register for both races. If you plan on running the 1 Mile as a warm-up, and do not need to be timed, do not wear your race bib for the 1 Mile.

Am I allowed to bring my dog to the race?

We love pets, but sadly they are not welcome at the race.

When can I use my Sesame Place pass?

The Sesame Place passes are valid from the day of the race, until September 1st. We do advise you check the Sesame Place website to check what attractions are open during your visit.

Can I give my Sesame Place pass to someone else?

What if I cannot attend the race? How do I collect my race packet?

Claiming your race packet with your race bib, t-shirt, and Sesame Place pass is the responsibility of the registrant. Packets will not be delivered or mailed to any participant. Arrangements should be made by registrants to claim their packets at one of the packet pick-up times advertised.

If I register after April 15th, can I still get my free t-shirt?
