1 Miles 5k Fun Run Run Walk

This year's Sesame Place Classic is the 26th running of this ever-popular event.

Sponsored by the Levittown Bristol Kiwanis Club and the Bucks County Herald, the Classic will have all the usual fun, namely a featured 5K, a one-mile fun run/walk, and a kids’ sprint event.

Each year, the race includes a free, one-day admission ticket to Sesame Place for all who register. Every runner or walker gets a “finisher’s medal,’’ which proved to be quite popular in previous years. Oh, and did we mention the cool collectible race T-shirt? (Due to the need to pre-order, T-shirts are only guaranteed to those who register before April 15th)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I push a stroller in the 5k or 1 Mile race?

Yes. A runner can push a stroller in the 5k and 1 Mile races. We ask that racers with strollers line up at the rear of the pack at the starting line for the safety of all runners.

Can I run in both the 1 Mile and the 5k races?

Yes, you may run in both. In order to be timed in both races, you’d need to register for both races. If you plan on running the 1 Mile as a warm-up, and do not need to be timed, do not wear your race bib for the 1 Mile.

Am I allowed to bring my dog to the race?

We love pets, but sadly they are not welcome at the race.

When can I use my Sesame Place pass?

The Sesame Place passes are valid from the day of the race, until September 1st. We do advise you check the Sesame Place website to check what attractions are open during your visit.

Can I give my Sesame Place pass to someone else?

Yes, you can give your pass to another person, but Sesame Place passes cannot be sold.

If I miss the race, can I get a refund?

No refunds, sorry, but know your registration helps with our cause.

When can I pick up my race packet?

Race packets can be claimed the Friday prior to the race from 4 to 8pm, and Saturday from 10am to 4pm inside the Oxford Valley Mall at the Macy’s Court. Packets can also be claimed on race day, but you should arrive at least one hour before the start time in the event that there is a line.

Can someone else pick up my race packet?

Yes, another party may pick up your race packet for you.

What if I cannot attend the race? How do I collect my race packet?

Claiming your race packet with your race bib, t-shirt, and Sesame Place pass is the responsibility of the registrant. Packets will not be delivered or mailed to any participant. Arrangements should be made by registrants to claim their packets at one of the packet pick-up times advertised.

If I register after April 15th, can I still get my free t-shirt?

Maybe. T-shirts are only guaranteed to participants who register by April 15th. Those who register after that date may be able to get a t-shirt depending on supply, and availability.

Can I exchange my t-shirt at packet pick-up if I order a size that does not fit well when I try it on?

No, sorry, you will be given the t-shirt size that you order. Our t-shirts are dry fit, and are made of 100% polyester. Please know your size before placing your order. All orders are final.

Where do I park on race day?

Runners may park for free at the lot directly across from the Sesame Place entrance. For navigational directions, use 100 Sesame Road, Langhorne, PA 19047. After 6:45 access to Sesame Road will be limited. Sesame Road is part of the course. Alternative parking can be found in lots at the Oxford Valley Mall.

Can I run with my child in the Sesame Sprint?

The Sesame Spring is a 20 yard dash specifically for children 5 and under. You can cheer your child on from the perimeter of the race area, but for the safety of all the children, you cannot run with your child unless it is medically necessary.

Is there a place to put my belongings during the race?

Runners are solely responsible for their personal property.

What if I can’t finish the race once I start?

There will be a vehicle following the runners on the course from a short distance, that will assist injured runners or those unable to make it to the finish line.

When can I buy additional discounted Sesame Place tickets?

After the race, you will receive a promotional code that will allow you to purchase the discounted tickets through Sesame Place.

What time is my race?

The 1 Mile starts at 7am. The 5k starts at 8am. The Sesame Sprint is at 9am.

Will I get a finisher medal if I register but do not participate in the race?

Sorry, no. Finisher medals are for participants only.

What does my team get for participating?

In addition to free admission into Sesame Place, a free t-shirt*, and finisher medal, teams can earn $5 per registrant, if the team has 20 or more registrants. The team with the most registrants will also receive the Sesame Spirit Award to take home!

What can I expect on race day?

Race day is fun and festive! A DJ will be playing music to pump you up before the race. Sesame Workshop characters will be available for pictures, high fives, and hugs! Levittown Bristol Kiwanis Club members will be available to assist and answer questions. Upon finishing the race, grab a water, pretzel, or banana to replenish!

Who do I go to for a problem?

Whether your problem is online, at packet pick-up, or on race day, our team of 100% volunteers will try to answer your queries and solve your problems. On race day, look for our members in green fleece jackets and orange vests.

This walk is hosted by Linconia Community Center to support those who have been affected by cancer. Our purpose is to help raise awareness of various types of cancer, promote an understanding of how important healthy eating and lifestyles contribute to preventing, tackling, and defeating the disease. Black and brown people are at greater risk of losing the battle due to lack of awareness, access to foods that offer greater nutritional value, healthcare depravity, and their own cultural values. Destined to Win Cancer Walk is designed to support people of all ethnic backgrounds. LCC looks forward to seeing you at the walk.

Join us at Crystal Lake Park for the Dash and Deciduous 5k trail run! This is a super secret, FREE, timed 'FATASS' 5k, which is essentially a fun, organized group run without all the bells and whistles of a typical race. Registration is required due to the field size being limited to 40 runners. Once the field limit is reached, additional runners will go on a waiting list and be added randomly.

Although though the Uptown Gentlefriends covers all expenses, this event relies heavily on runner donations to enhance the experience. Donations aren't required but 100% of contributions go directly back to the runners.

    AWARDS:

    • Top Male and Female

    • Age Group Awards: Available for both male and female in the following age groups;

    • 29 and Under

    • 30 to 39

    • Masters (40+)

If participation is high, "Easter eggs" will be hidden along the course, and can be returned for a small prize. If the finder also wins an award, the prize will be given to the next highest finisher.

    Top 10 All-Time: http://bit.ly/UGFfastest

    Top Male; Eric F. - 24:20

    Top Female; Corinne J. - 29:42

    Course Description:

This course is a fun, timed group run and may be challenging for beginners. It features approximately 300ft of elevation gain, ankle-twisting roots, and some steep, dangerous hills. Veteran trail runners will enjoy the challenge and the opportunity to gain ground in a few runnable sections. The course will be well-marked, with no risk of getting lost, and there will be a water station at the halfway point.

    Spectator Information:

The course is spectator-friendly. You can cheer on runners at the start, at mile 0.50 before they enter the woods, at mile 0.80 just before a series of steep hills and finally at mile 2.1 for one last push to the finish line. Refreshments will be served post-run near the sign-in area, and the award ceremony will take place shortly after the conclusion of the run.

    Important Notes:

    • The parking area is small, so we strongly encourage carpooling.

    • This is a small but competitive club run, and participants are responsible for their own safety. Crystal Lake Park offers challenging trails, including some steep and potentially dangerous downhill. Even experienced trail runners should exercise caution.
