Camp Māk-A-Dream is a 501c3 non-profit organization that relies on funds donated - and raised - by generous individuals. Many people who have either been a participant or volunteer in the past, experienced cancer in their own lives, or find fulfillment through helping others contribute towards making Camp's cost-free programs possible by raising funds for our organization.

Camp Māk-A-Dream is located in western Montana but draws participants and volunteers from all across the U.S. and even abroad. Since opening its doors in 1995, Camp has welcomed over 10,000 individuals diagnosed with, or affected by, cancer. Each week of camp is provided cost-free to participants and relies in great part to the generous support of invididual donors like YOU!

Whether it's running in the Boston Mararthon, holding a virtual event, choosing to use a birthday, anniversary or milestone event to raise funds for a charitable cause...it all adds up and makes a week at Camp Māk-A-Dream possible for hundreds of deserving people each year.

Thank you for considering a gift to one of our Camp Māk-A-Dream ambassadors....they are part of our extended Camp family and could not do this work without their efforts and your donations.

It's winter! Let's skate ski*! (*if there's snow!!)

Both clinics will be held at the UM Golf Course.

Join us for a beginner skate ski lesson and ski around the golf course for an off-season community event. Our wonderful MT Alpha Member, Jenny Helm, will be leading both of these clinics. January clinic is for first time skiers, February clinic is for "2nd season" skiers.

Please bring a headlamp, as it may get dark and if you're loving it, you're gonna wanna stay and ski.

This FREE event is for current Alpha members only. Clinic is snow-dependent. We'll reach out to registrants if we need to cancel based on lack of snow or poor snow quality for skating.

The MT Alpha Race Team is open to riders of all bike disciplines: mountain, gravel, road, cyclocross, enduro, and anyone excited about pinning on a number. Our goal is to create a supportive, inclusive environment where women and non-binary riders can challenge themselves, grow their skills, and show up confidently on start lines across the region.

Whether it’s your first race season or your fifteenth, you belong here.

What We Ask From Race Team Members

To keep our community strong, connected, and moving forward together, team members commit to:

    1. Racing a minimum of five race days throughout the season (any discipline)

    2. Volunteering at least twice during the year

    3. One of these volunteer events will likely be a local music event fundraiser (details coming soon)

    4. Maintaining at least a Basic MT Alpha membership

These commitments help us build visibility in the community, support the club’s programming, and ensure we can continue empowering riders of all levels.

    What Race Team Members Receive

As part of the MT Alpha Race Team, you’ll enjoy a variety of perks designed to support your training, racing, and community involvement:

    • Discount on Skratch nutrition products

    • Free or discounted team jersey

    • Team support at key races (based on the race team schedule)

    • $200 off a bike fit with Ascend Sports Medicine during the winter months

    • Monthly team rides (1 minimum during the season April - September), plus skills and training opportunities

    • The chance to serve as a leader and mentor for riders who are new, “race curious,” or just building confidence

    • The satisfaction of knowing that more women+ and non-binary athletes will be on start lines in 2026 because of your presence and example

    Why Join the Race Team?

Beyond the perks, the MT Alpha Race Team is about showing up for yourself and for each other. We’re here to make racing more accessible, more fun, and more welcoming — because the more representation we have at start lines, the more the cycling community grows and changes for the better.

If you’re ready to ride up to a start line, support your teammates, and help shape the next generation of riders, we’d love to have you on the team.

This race takes place in Missoula, in March. What does that mean for participants? It means you never know what kind of weather we're going to have or what the weather will decide to drop on the streets as it passes through (i.e., snow sleet, rain, etc.). Be prepared for potentially slippery surfaces, potholes (watch for puddles), uneven surfaces, and loose sand and gravel! We will include more specific recommendations in accordance with the weather in our pre-race notes email, the day before the race.

Back for 2026 by unpopular demand, the Missoula Beer Mile returns!

Do you make bad choices? Are you maybe susceptible to peer pressure? Have you never understood why Tuesday Track is not also a Thirsty Thursday? If that sounds like you, you should come out to the Missoula Beer Mile! With official timing and scoring via FinishLynx - the same system used at the legendary Hayward Field - but run on a dirt track to keep things fitting for a race in Montana.

The festivities will start at 6:45, with races starting at 7:00 or whenever the race director thinks it's time to start. Then for folks who are still standing, a trip to Flippers for Rainiers on the race director.

Stick around after the mile for a cigarette 400 - run one lap all out while finishing a cigarette of choice in memory of Koby Pederson. He's not dead yet, but we still will all burn a drunk heater to lock back in to hit the bars and honor the founder of Missoula Run Club.

Don't drink beer? Think N/A beer is a cop out? We've got a division for you - drink 5% regulation beer-mile beers, Athletic Brewing, Kombucha, Cream Soda, La Croix, anything really - just come with 4 of them and racing flats and good vibes.

Events are free to run, but BYOB. If you're too broke for a six pack, shoot the RD an email for an application to the diversity scholarship.

Drop-In Rides are part of Adventure Cycling’s 50th Anniversary. Just as Bikecentennial ’76 sparked a movement 50 years ago, these rides celebrate where we started, what we’ve accomplished, and where we’re going—inviting riders everywhere to share in the adventure.

    THE ROUTES

TRANSAMERICA TRAIL – The original Bikecentennial ’76 route that launched Adventure Cycling. Nearly 4,200 miles from Oregon to Virginia, it passes through small towns, farmland, the Rockies, and Appalachians. Dropping in here connects you with the history of cross-country cycling.

GREAT DIVIDE MOUNTAIN BIKE ROUTE – Since 1998, the world’s premier off-pavement route. Over 2,700 miles of gravel, dirt, and rugged mountain passes from Montana to New Mexico. A true test of endurance and adventure, inspiring riders worldwide.

GOLDEN GRAVEL TRAIL – Created for our 50th Anniversary, debuting in 2026. A mixed-surface journey across plains, canyons, and mountains, designed to showcase America’s growing gravel culture and the future of bicycle travel.
