    Clean off those bunny ears and running shoes and get ready for the 2026 Hippity Hop 5K! This year we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary of the 5K on April 4, 2026!!! Potter Park Zoo will once again serve as the host for the event. We hope you can join us for a day of fun including the 5K run/walk, Easter Egg Hunt, children's activities, and you-know-who...THE EASTER BUNNY! All registered participants get same-day FREE entry into the zoo!! The 5K run/walk will start and finish near the entrance of the zoo and will go along the scenic Lansing River Trail. All proceeds go to youth and families in Ingham County. The Child Benefit Fund has been assisting at-risk families in Ingham County for over 40 years, providing funding for clothing, sports fees and equipment, emergency needs, extra-curricular activities, and holiday gifts for approximately 250-300 children per year. Make sure to register ahead of time, as registration will close at midnight on April 3, 2026, and WE WILL NOT BE

    TAKING ANY RACE DAY REGISTRATIONS!

    5K Run/Walk: The 5K is chip-timed on a beautiful, scenic, and accurate course along the Lansing River Trail. All participants will receive a t-shirt and finisher's medal. The race will have an open start time from 11:00 AM until 11:15 AM for convenience. If you are looking for a more competitive race, please be at the start line at 10:55 AM. Otherwise, you can start the race at your leisure. The entire course is paved, so it is stroller friendly.

    Virtual Option: Can't join us in person? We are also offering a VIRTUAL option. Run or walk with us from anywhere, anytime on April 4. We will ship the t-shirts and medals directly to you!

    Easter Egg Hunt: We are happy to have an Easter Egg Hunt again for this year's event! All children under 12 will need to register and will receive a bag, t-shirt, and a guaranteed minimum number of eggs from the egg course. The Easter Egg Hunt begins at 10:30 AM and will be at the Tiger Den Pavilion.

    Family pricing: Have other friends or family wishing to participate? Register with 3 or more people and receive a discount of $3 per registrant.

    T-shirt: Unisex and kid sizes available.

    Overall Awards: Overall, Master (over 40), and Grand Master (over 50) male and female will receive an award

    Medals: Every participant in the 5K will get a finisher's medal, as well as awards for the top 2 in each age group! Age groups are 7 & under, 8-11, 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70-74, and 75+. Please note that awards will only be given to attendees of the in-person event.

    Packet Pickup: Packets can be picked up on Friday April 3, 2026 at the Tiger Den pavilion at the Potter Park Zoo from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM, or as early as 8:30 AM the day of the event.

    Come join us on the Lansing River Trail, starting at Brenke Fish Ladder, Saturday, April 25th for CCIEC's 14th Annual Run For Giving 5K Run/Walk. The race will start at 9:00 am. Our race will have chipped timing with live results!

    Pricing: $25 until March 20th, pricing will be $30 from March 21st to April 19th, and $35 one week before the event. Be sure to register online, there is no race day registration.

    Special pricing: Ages 18 and under $5 discount. Families/Groups who register 3 or more participants at the same time receive a $5/discount per participant.

    Run, walk or roll! This race is stroller and wheelchair accessible.

    Proceeds from this event will go towards empowering those in vulnerable situations in our community through our basic needs programming, including our Community Kitchen, Food Pantry, Personal Needs Pantry and Clothing Closet.

    Packet Pickup: Pickup at Catholic Charities - St. Vincent Campus (2800 W. Willow St.) on April 24th from 3-6 PM and race day morning starting at 8am.

    T-shirts: T-shirts are guaranteed until April 16th and then available as supplies last after that date. They will be distributed at packet pick-up the day before the race. If you're not able to pick up the packet the day before, you can pick it up the day of the race from 8-9 AM near the start/finish line at the registration table.

    Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be live on this site and available race day.

    Awards: Medals will be awarded to the overall male and female and the 1st place winner in each age group (men and women). Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female will receive an additional prize. Age Groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

    Fluid Stations: We will provide bottled water at tables along the trail and at the finish of the race.

    This fun, flat, and fast 5K will follow the Lansing River Trail and finish right near the Jackson Field - home of the Lansing Lugnuts Baseball Team.

    Participate in this early afternoon race and then head to the beer fest and enjoy all the fun there!

    The Ingham County Bar Association Young Lawyers Section's

    11th Annual Paper Chase 5K

    We are super excited because it is the 11th Anniversary of the Paper Chase this year! The race will start at Lansing Shuffle and go south along the Lansing River Trail, turn around at the halfway point, and come back. We are also having a raffle where participants can purchase tickets to win prizes!!

    Pricing: A race t-shirt will be included in the entry fee for all participants who register on or before May 13th, 2026. Participants who register after this date will receive a t-shirt on a first-come first-served basis. A $10 gift card to Lansing Shuffle will also be provided for every person who registers to allow them to enjoy drinks or food after the race at Lansing Shuffle. $40 until 4/30, $45 from 5/01 to 5/30, $50 race day 5/31

    Help us reach our goal of 150 participants this year! Law firms and legal organizations are encouraged to form teams. Teams consist of a minimum of two people. At least one team member must be an employee or owner of the firm/organization. We encourage you to recruit your firm/organization staff, family members, and friends to join your team!

    Awards will be presented to the fastest three (3) overall male and female finishers. Awards will also be presented to the firm/organization team which finishes with the lowest time, calculated by averaging the times of its two (2) fastest team members, and to the firm/organization team which has the greatest number of participants!

    Packet pickup will be held on Race Day morning starting at 9:00 am

    A portion of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Michigan Capital Region Big Brothers Big Sisters, which facilitates and supports meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and youth (“Littles”). Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region serves children in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Shiawassee counties. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. A portion of the proceeds from the race will also benefit the Young Lawyers Section of the Ingham County Bar Association, which provides networking and educational opportunities to young lawyers and law students at low or no cost.

    Lace up your sneakers and hit the River Trail with Mayor Andy Schor! Join us at Potter Park on June 13 at 9 AM for a fun and scenic 5K run/walk along the river. Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome!. Every participant receives a t-shirt, medal and snacks at the end. There will also be fun stations along the way to break up the trail for the kids.

    Registration for the competitive run i includes a Mayor's River Walk T-Shirt, finisher medal and Matching socks with prizes for the top three finishers in each age group.

    We're excited to host our 24th annual Twilight Run. This is a fun Wednesday evening race in downtown Lansing. The 5k course is accurate and scenic.

    Entry Fee: $30 until June 11 (T-shirt guaranteed), $35 from June 12 to June 16 (no shirt guaranteed), $40 on race day (no shirt) Ages 18 and under the entry fee is $20, the discounted price is automatically applied during registration.

    Join us at Fenner Nature Center for a fun and active youth running camp designed to build healthy habits and a love for movement! Campers will learn proper running form while improving their speed, endurance, and overall fitness. Each session includes games, drills, and trail runs led by experienced coaches & counselors—all in a welcoming and nature-filled setting.

    Eligible campers are kids entering 2nd - 8th grade in the coming school year. Whether your child is new to running or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp is the perfect way to stay active and make new friends.

    2026 marks the 33rd anniversary of the Capital City River Run.

    The Capital City River Run makes a real impact within the community, benefiting Impression 5 Science Center and its mission to provide children and families access to science exploration through hands-on exhibits and participatory programming.

    Annual races include a Half Marathon, 5K Walk/Run, and the Sohn’s Kid’s Race. All half marathon and 5K race participants receive a crew neck sweatshirt (your choice of two colors) and finishers medal. The race will be chip timed by the Michigan Running Foundation and you can check your results during the race and on the web at Playmakers.com.

    The kids races will take place on Saturday, September 20 at 11AM at Impression 5 Science Center. The one mile race will take place on the Lansing River Trail. All participants will be invited to spend the day at the Science Museum and enjoy a pizza party after the event. Participants of the event will get a Stainless Steel Water Bottle and a finishers medal.

    The half marathon, and 5K races will start on Michigan Ave in front of the Lansing Center, utilizing Michigan Ave, Grand River Ave, MSU campus and the Lansing River Trail and will end on Grand Ave, utilizing Adado Park in downtown Lansing. Both races will start at 8AM on Sunday, September 21.

    Packet Pick Up

    Packet pick up will take place on Saturday, September 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Impression 5 Science Center in Lansing.
