    11th Annual Paper Chase 5K

    We are super excited because it is the 11th Anniversary of the Paper Chase this year! The race will start at Lansing Shuffle and go south along the Lansing River Trail, turn around at the halfway point, and come back. We are also having a raffle where participants can purchase tickets to win prizes!!

    Pricing: A race t-shirt will be included in the entry fee for all participants who register on or before May 13th, 2026. Participants who register after this date will receive a t-shirt on a first-come first-served basis. A $10 gift card to Lansing Shuffle will also be provided for every person who registers to allow them to enjoy drinks or food after the race at Lansing Shuffle. $40 until 4/30, $45 from 5/01 to 5/30, $50 race day 5/31

    Team pricing: Join in the fun with a team. $5 discount per participant with a team of four or more. See the Paper Chase Team Information section for full details.

    Help us reach our goal of 150 participants this year! Law firms and legal organizations are encouraged to form teams. Teams consist of a minimum of two people. At least one team member must be an employee or owner of the firm/organization. We encourage you to recruit your firm/organization staff, family members, and friends to join your team!

    Awards will be presented to the fastest three (3) overall male and female finishers. Awards will also be presented to the firm/organization team which finishes with the lowest time, calculated by averaging the times of its two (2) fastest team members, and to the firm/organization team which has the greatest number of participants!

    Packet pickup will be held on Race Day morning starting at 9:00 am

    A portion of the proceeds from the race will benefit the Michigan Capital Region Big Brothers Big Sisters, which facilitates and supports meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and youth (“Littles”). Big Brothers Big Sisters Michigan Capital Region serves children in Clinton, Eaton, Ingham, Ionia and Shiawassee counties. They develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. A portion of the proceeds from the race will also benefit the Young Lawyers Section of the Ingham County Bar Association, which provides networking and educational opportunities to young lawyers and law students at low or no cost.

    Sunday, June 7th, 2026. The race starts at 9am near Rotary Park/Lansing Shuffle, followed by brunch at The View.

    Pricing: 5k run/walk with Brunch $45 until May 15th, $50 until June 4th. Virtual 5k run/walk $40. Brunch only $30 until May 15th, $35 until June 4th.

    Registration will remain open until the capacity of 200 is reached.

    Race Day packet pickup will begin at 8:00 AM at the race start/finish area.

    Awards: Overall award to Male, Female and Non-Binary. First place Male and Female in age groups: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over.

    Virtual participants: Please run/walk anytime in the month of May and June. (You can pick up your t-shirt during packet pick-up). Please note virtual participants are not eligible for age group awards.

    Max's Race for The Davies Project 2026, our 21st annual in-person 5k run/walk, will be held on the beautiful campus of Michigan State University. Consider a scavenger hunt of Max's favorite things such as the moon, the color orange, or MSU's mascot Sparty to honor the legacy of Max who passed away at the age of 6 due to complications from meningitis.

    Proceeds from the event will support free round-trip rides to medical appointments for children facing serious health challenges.

    All participants receive a short sleeve t-shirt and finisher's medal.

    We're excited to host our 24th annual Twilight Run. This is a fun Wednesday evening race in downtown Lansing. The 5k course is accurate and scenic.

    Entry Fee: $30 until June 11 (T-shirt guaranteed), $35 from June 12 to June 16 (no shirt guaranteed), $40 on race day (no shirt) Ages 18 and under the entry fee is $20, the discounted price is automatically applied during registration.

    Results: Your accurate chip time and current overall and age group place will be texted to your phone and live on this site.
