At that time, the following entry fees go into effect: END $60 / PRO $55 / ADULT XC & E-BIKE $50 / U19 XC $35 plus $3 Fair Hill venue fee + BikeReg platform fees.
Online registration closes the Thursday before the race, midnight.

In the event of postponement, an announcement will appear on the MASS website by 6:00 pm the night before the race, unless we are able to make the call earlier. We will also contact all registered racers using the email address provided on your registration - make sure it's accurate.
The rain date is the following Saturday. All registrations will automatically carry over to the rain date. No action necessary on your part,
If you can't make the rain date, consider buying refund insurance when you register (cannot be purchased retroactively).
REFUNDS / TRANSFERS
The event has a NO REFUND POLICY. Make sure that you have no scheduling conflicts BEFORE you register.
In the event of postponement or cancellation, registration fees will not be refunded by the event organizer unless you have purchased the $6 Refund Insurance with your entry fee. This optional purchase is offered under “EVENT ITEMS.” BikeReg platform fees and the insurance fee are not refunded.
NO INSURANCE = NO REFUND if we have to postpone or cancel the event.
Refund Insurance is a smart purchase for those who know they CANNOT make the rain date.

Announce yourself and pass only when you can safely do so; we want EVERYONE'S racing experience to be nothing short of positive!
WATCH OUT FOR HORSES
Although we have a park permit, and we have signage up about our race, there may be other user groups in the park, including EQUESTRIAN TRAFFIC. Our course and roving marshals will be there to help deflect outside traffic and keep the course clear for you. However, if you do come across equestrian traffic, please be courteous and be a positive representation of mountain biking. We don't want to jeopardize future events.

We’ll have a suggested area designated for tents
FEED ZONE
Feed zone will be along tent row, either side of course, as you choose.

parkrun is such a simple concept: turn up every Saturday and volunteer, walk, jog or run 5k.
parkrun is such a simple concept: turn up every Saturday and volunteer, walk, jog or run 5k.
With August temperatures and humidity soaring, we are offering a great way to get a 5K run in! This indoor 5K takes place entirely inside the mall!
Perfectly timed with both Maryland tax-free week and back-to-school shopping, not only can you hit the halls of Arundel Mills, you can stop in for great specials at all of their retailer before or after your run!
Last race we had great specials from Hey Dude, Under Armour, Nike, Lindt Chocolate, Auntie Anne's, Medieval Times, Nandos, Merritt Athletics, and more! Stay tuned to hear who will be participating this summer.
Choose between completing multiple loops for the full 5K or opting for our family‑friendly fun run or walk, featuring a shorter distance perfect for kids and new runners. This race takes place before the mall opens! It won't be a great course for setting a personal best, but we can promise it will be a fun and unique one!
All finishers will receive a medal.
This race is hard capped. If you can still sign up, there is space! Once we hit our cap, we will have to welcome you next year! Strollers are only allowed during the Fun Run/Walk
Sunday Morning Check-In Time:
Elite Runners: 8:00 AM
5K: 8:40 AM
Fun Run/Walk: 9:45 AM
Post-Race Activities!
After you cross the finish line, stick around for post‑race activities, including fitness demos, recovery stretches, training tips, and workout ideas for all ages.
Packet Pick-Up
Bib, swag, and shirts will be handed out before the race! If you have not received it, please arrive by 7:30 AM for Elite Runners, 8:00 AM for the 5K, and 9:15 for the Fun Run/Walk.
Reminder- this is a cupless race! Waters will not be handed out. We have dozens of water fountains on site and want to ensure the floors stay as dry as possible. Please bring a container with a lid for your water.
Swag and Giveaways
All participants receive both a finisher's medal and a shirt! Check in for the swag bag our retailers and partners provide, including giveaways, raffles, promos, and discounts at Arundel Mills stores! Shirts are not guaranteed for runners who sign up after 8/1.
Hydration Station
In order to keep the floors as dry as possible, there will only be a water station at the start/finish line that racers will pass as they go around the mall. While water/drinks are allowed on the course, there will be no water cups while on the course except for water at the food court. The mall has several restrooms available throughout the course that have water fountains. Running with a cup without a lid is not permitted, but running with water or other fluids is permitted as long as it closes (water bottle, camelbak, sports bottle, etc.)
What to Bring
Your own water, bags, and gear are fine to bring! We will have waves starting/finishing in the food court that will provide plenty of tables and chairs to store your items. We cannot allow pets, selfie sticks, glass, or weapons. Note that neither Arundel Mills nor Peake Events is responsible for lost belongings.
Parking and Entrance Recommendation
The closest parking would be the Maryland Live Casino parking garage (free), and use the Food Court Entrance. Nando Peri Peri is located next to that Food Court entrance for reference.
Distance Disclaimer
Please note: Course distance and start times may adjust slightly based on registration numbers and logistics. Waved starts will help ensure plenty of space for running through the mall corridors. The 5k course will be four laps around the mall and is ~1/10th of a kilometer longer than an exact 5K.
Strollers and Children Note
The 5K race will have runners completing four laps around the mall, making for tight spots, especially in two sections that require a small ramp to go up/down. Runners can also opt to run up and down the three stairs as they see fit. Strollers will only be allowed during the Fun Run/walk and must start at the back. Any child participating in the 5K should be able to maintain a jogging pace and stick to the right-hand side of the course. We love kids, but know they like to take off and run around without always looking around their surroundings. Please ensure your child is both old enough for the 5K and can follow proper race etiquette. We invite everyone to join the Fun Run/Walk!
Sponsorships are available - Please contact [email protected]
Standard Description
2026 HEAT IS HERE!General: Running + Beer + BBQ = Be there! 25k or 50k all trail, and a great after-party! The trails are technical and challenging, yet approachable because of our generous 25k cutoffs (we don't really have one). A great course to hike, run, or both. The after party will include craft beer, great food, and general fun! The 50k is a challenging attempt - you should honestly feel like a King when you finish it - but always able to downgrade to the 25k during the event. Location and Parking:The location of the start/finish is: https://maps.app.goo.gl/spE6anGbkiAebMTT8Shelter # 707. There will be directions regarding parking when you enter the Pickall Area of the park off of Johnnycake Rd. There is parking on-site and we have a good number of parking spots, however, they are not unlimited. Whenever possible, please plan to carpool with other athletes running the race, or if you have friends or family coming to watch, have them come with you to ensure we have enough spots for everyone, particularly our race participants. There are bathrooms that are adjacent to the pavilions where we will be hosting the race. Start Time:The 50k will start at 7am The 25k will start at 9amCourse: The course consists of rolling single track with two river crossings. There is a very short paved section through a parking area, but other than that, you will not touch pavement on this course. You will get 2000ft+ of vertical gain with a couple of healthy climbs. Some of the course is very technical and rocky, but there are other smooth and runnable sections. Variety is the name of the game on this course. There are 3 areas of the course that involve out-and-backs. The first involves the climb to Valley Overlook, a stunning view overlooking the valley. There you will pick up a wrist band (50k athletes will end up with 2 wrist bands). You need to show us the wrist band at the finish line to get credited with a finish, but then the bands are yours to keep! The other 2 out-and-backs or short sections that will take you to our aid stations on the back half of the course. These are mandatory out-and-backs, and our aid station volunteers will be checking off bib numbers to ensure completion. Here is a link to the course on Strava. This is the OFFICIAL race course: https://www.strava.com/routes/3308117812416047072Aid Stations:Aid stations will occur at approximately:2 miles 5.25 miles8 miles11.5 miles16 milesAll aid stations will have Tailwind and Water as well as standard fair, both sweet and savory to keep you going. Everything at the aid stations will be real food, we will not have gels, etc. so if that is your preference make sure to carry them. Finish:At the finish we party. We pride ourselves on having a great spread of food and beers to help you refuel and celebrate your hard work. There will be access to bathrooms, water, and plenty of shelter under our two large pavilions. Event details at: https://www.mdheatraces.com/Join the Facebook group: http://www.facebook.com/groups/mdheatrace/
50k Info
Many will do the 25k, though the ultra 50k is growing more popular each year. The 50k consists of 2 loops of the 25k course. The aid stations will be the same and located at the same intervals. It is required to pick up a wrist band at the top of the Valley Overlook climb EACH LOOP, so you will have two wrist bands at the end to officially complete the course. We do not have very strict cutoffs for the event, however, we cannot let 50k competitors out for a second loop if they complete the first loop after 12pm NOON. So basically athletes are allotted 5 hours per loop. Athletes should be able to access the park starting at 6am. The race kicks off at 7am sharp.
Parking
As mentioned above, we have fairly ample, but not unlimited parking. The parking is adjacent to the pavilions and start/finish line. Please carpool if at all possible.
Volunteers
Volunteers:We are ALWAYS looking for volunteers to help us put on a great event. If you, or anyone you know is interested in helping out, you can reach out to me at [email protected] or fill out his volunteer form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/17btlttcapWRWeMJxQWHVuDQjF1qTo7iihsZaHnOo5mU/edit

Please join us on our 4th Annual All Clubs Ladies Ride to shine a light on Heart Health. The cycling community in Maryland along with some of our sister clubs in surrounding areas have come together this year to do one all clubs ladies' ride to show solidarity across all the clubs. The theme for this year's ride will be Heart Health as heart disease kills more women than ALL forms of cancer combined and also kills more than 50,000 women of color annually. The event rolls rain or shine. We will be at Pavillion West.
In honor of Heart Health, we are asking all women to wear red.
Lunch will be provided and there will be Vegan and Vegetarian options available
Registration includes: Lunch, Rest-Stop Refreshments, T-shirt, and a charitable donation.
T-shirts will be available at registration pickup to all participants who register prior to August 13, 2026. After that date, t-shirt availability will be on a first come first serve basis based on what we have left.
There will be 2 ride distances: Approximately 33mile and 21mile
We want everyone to return close to the same time so we ask that you pick your route accordingly based on your skill level. There will be SAG provided for the both routes; however, SAG will be for bike malfunctions only. Please make sure your bike is in good working order prior to the ride. There will be bike mechanics on-site prior to the ride so if you are unsure of the condition of your bike, we encourage you to get it checked prior to the ride if you have not already done so prior to the day of the event. These mechanics will be available on a first come first serve basis and can not guarantee they can repair all bikes prior to the start of the ride. There are a few rollers and we want to make sure everyone rides and returns safely. You are responsible for having your own tire change supplies as SAG will be there to assist with tire changes and mechanical issues only. If you have not been riding your bike but still want to participate in the ride, please be on the lookout for clinics
that will be held prior to the event.
PLEASE CHECK BACK CLOSER TO THE EVENT DATE FOR UPDATED ROUTES
