About
The Littleton Road Race event includes a 5-kilometer race (walkers welcome) and a 1-mile fun run (all ages welcome). Both races begin and end at Fay Park, 20 Foster Street, in Littleton, Massachusetts. The fun run begins at 2pm, with the 5k beginning at 2:30pm.
This race is a fundraiser for the Littleton Road Race & Track Organization. In 2008, we began work to promote the building of a new track and field facility in Littleton, and this facility opened in March of 2013. Proceeds from the Road Race will be used to maintain and enhance the Littleton track and field facility, as well as promote the sport of track & field in Littleton. Past projects funded by the road race include new landscaping at the entry to the track, the addition of a pole vault box and pit, a school track records board at the high school and summer track and field programs to introduce new runners to the track.
Your participation as a runner, sponsor or volunteer will help us continue this work in the community.

EVENT OVERVIEW
[RVCX_Series_Logo.png]
Nestled below the 1,143,000 Kilowatt Northfield Mountain Power Station, Kilowatt Cross returns for its THIRD year. Year-round, you can enjoy various outdoor activities at Northfield Recreation Center, such as mountain biking, cross-country skiing, hiking, and the nature center.
Kilowatt Cross is also a part of the River Valley CX Series where there will be cumulative points across multiple races in western Mass. Other races in the series include: Blunt Park (8/24), Hydra Cross (8/31), West Hill Cyclocross Race (9/20), and Tree House CX (10/19). Categories that are part of the series are denoted in the category notes.
INCLUSIVITY POLICY
Kilowatt Cross is an inclusive race environment that is safe and welcoming to all participants, regardless of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, race, religion, disability, or ethnic origin.
[240_F_438762190_fTPh346XwkwAGRH7eAAW7kMMxyjqGKMm.jpg]
We strive to create an atmosphere that makes all feel welcome. From Pros to first-time racers, from staff to spectators, we will not accept behavior that is deemed to be bullying or any form of harassment and violators will be asked to leave.
At any point, if you feel uncomfortable or unsafe or see behavior that seems to be making someone else uncomfortable, please speak to an official or staff member.
FOOD and BEVERAGES
We are happy to be offering the following during the day of the race:
Food: El Chapincito Food Truck | MENU | 11 AM - 4 PM
Beer: The Brewery at North Star Farms Pour Truck | MENU | 11 AM - 4 PM
FIRST TIME RACERS
We at Kilowatt Cross value the importance of 1st time racers. We strive to make them feel welcome and will try to ensure they have a positive first experience with Cyclocross.
There will be an introduction clinic on Saturday, September 26th at 8 AM, open to new and beginner riders. You will ride the course and learn how to navigate the twists, turns, and obstacles. You will also learn basic skills to give you an edge on race day. You can sign up on the registration page.
We recommend bringing a bike with wider, possibly knobbier tires than a road bike. Your mountain bike, gravel bike, fatbike, or even your commuter bike is the perfect tool! Tires that measure more than 35mm are perfect!
We welcome all questions, please message us at [email protected]

RUN MEDFORD
On September 25^th and 26^th, 2026, we’re coming together to celebrate running. Medford is where it all started for Dave McGillivray, and after more than 40 years of running adventures, he wants to show his appreciation the best way he knows how: by organizing a road race with the explicit purpose of raising funds that would directly benefit his hometown.
The 5K race is named after Jerry Panarese, who was a member of the New England 65+ Runners Club. Jerry was the director of the Run of All Ages which was held in Wakefield, MA for 25 years. The race was going to end, so we decided to include it in our Run Medford event to keep Jerry's spirit alive and going.
Bring your family and join us for our Kids Fun Run on Friday September 25^th at the Dave McGillivray Track at Hormel Stadium.
The kids' races are age-dependent distances: 1/4 mile, 1/2 mile, 3/4 mile and 1 mile.
EARLY BIRD OPENING SPECIAL! We are offering a discounted fee of $35.00 + processing fee for the first 150 runners!
Age Discount Pricing:
Ages 12 and younger: the 10K Race & Jerry's Run for all Ages = $35 + processing fee
Ages 80 plus will receive a free entry
Beneficiaries:
Run for a cause! Run Medford celebrates ALL runners while giving back to the community! A portion of every race registration will be donated back to the school communities in Medford through the Dave McGillivray Finish Strong Foundation.

About Colin's Joy Project:
Colin McGrath was killed in 2018 after being struck by a car on his way home from a wonderful day in the park. His life was full of love, laughter, curiosity. Colin lived every minute of his life to the fullest. His laughing eyes, beautiful curls, hilarious voice, and sense of adventure will never be forgotten. His smile made everyone's heart happy.
Since Colin's death, the McGrath family started a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Colin's Joy Project. The mission of Colin's Joy Project is to enhance play spaces and sponsor children and family programming in the South Boston and surrounding communities.
Colin's Joy Project has several active play space projects in development in South Boston inspired by Colin's Creativity Squad, an initiative that engages children in the community to design their own exciting, creative play spaces. Colin's Joy Project has also formed multiple community partnerships to which they have donated over $1.5M in the last 7 years! Through these partnerships, Colin's Joy Project fulfills their mission to bring joy to families the way Colin brought joy to all who knew him.
A donation to Team Colin will support these long-lasting partnerships and future projects. Learn more about our work on our website www.colinsjoyproject.org, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@colinsjoyproject) for updates!
