About Colin's Joy Project:

Colin McGrath was killed in 2018 after being struck by a car on his way home from a wonderful day in the park. His life was full of love, laughter, curiosity. Colin lived every minute of his life to the fullest. His laughing eyes, beautiful curls, hilarious voice, and sense of adventure will never be forgotten. His smile made everyone's heart happy.

Since Colin's death, the McGrath family started a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization called Colin's Joy Project. The mission of Colin's Joy Project is to enhance play spaces and sponsor children and family programming in the South Boston and surrounding communities.

Colin's Joy Project has several active play space projects in development in South Boston inspired by Colin's Creativity Squad, an initiative that engages children in the community to design their own exciting, creative play spaces. Colin's Joy Project has also formed multiple community partnerships to which they have donated over $1.5M in the last 7 years! Through these partnerships, Colin's Joy Project fulfills their mission to bring joy to families the way Colin brought joy to all who knew him.

A donation to Team Colin will support these long-lasting partnerships and future projects. Learn more about our work on our website www.colinsjoyproject.org, and follow us on Facebook and Instagram (@colinsjoyproject) for updates!

(All images by Frances Ramirez/@franipac) The 26.TRUE Marathon & Half Marathon are specifically designed to amplify and celebrate the culture and diversity that make up the City of Boston. The route takes runners right through the heart of the city so that they can feel the pulse. It highlights neighborhoods and uplifts communities that are often overlooked during the Boston marathon weekend. We invite you to join us as we come together in defiance of history’s divisions, to embrace old spaces in new ways, and to run a half and full marathon that is so much more than just a race. A time to reflect on strength and resilience. 26.TRUE has taken on new meaning each and every time we have come together to run it over the past 5 years. Last year we organized the first-ever full marathon that has been run entirely within Boston's city limits. This year we are leaning into that

evolution as we host the only half marathon currently run entirely within Boston's city limits. We are excited to have you join us in April to keep pushing forward as we continue to run... PIONEERS Run Crew is a transformative and influential running community that has been reshaping the Boston running scene since its founding in April 2017. Established by Sidney Baptista, the crew was created to directly address the lack of diversity in the city's running culture by building a welcoming and inclusive hub in the Dorchester neighborhood. With a "no runner left behind" policy, a community of over 500 members, and a powerful lineup of their own signature races like the 26.TRUE Marathon, PIONEERS is a true lifestyle and a force for positive change.
