The trails are generally in good shape however the weather can always make it a bit swampy so look out for alligators. The course is always well marked with plenty of course volunteers. After the race, stick around for awards and the our post-race snacks!
You must preregister by March 15th at 11:59 PM to receive a shirt. Online registration will continue online up to race morning but no shirt will be provided.
Awards will be given; including overall awards, age group awards, and walker awards. Awards are based on 5-year age groups. The number of awards per age group will be determined based on the pre-registered numbers in each age group. Awards range from 1 to 3 per age group.
There are also walker awards that are not age based. The number of walker awards will be based on the number of pre-registered walkers and will be awarded based on the first walker across the finish line and so on. We have competitive walkers who work hard to win the race and it wouldn’t be fair for a someone to run part of the race and beat out a competitive walker who walked the complete event.

You wont want to miss the 8th annual Brat Trot 5k through Terre Haute's historical brewing district hosted by Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church!
The Brat Trot has 2 awesome 5k races (the beer challenge 5k and regular 5k) and a 1 mile fun run for you to choose from!
The main event is the Beer Challenge where participants will run our 1 mile loop course through the brewing district. At each lap you must consume a 4 ounce shot glass of beer and have the race volunteer place a check mark on your bib# before continuing on to your next lap. After 3 laps you will then cross the finish line and should have consumed a total of 12 ounces / 1 beer! All beer will be provided by Afterburner Brewing Company!
Parking will be located at the Vigo County Library's Parking lot. Please park in the back of the parking lot, so you do not interfere with those attending the Library. 1 Library Square, Terre Haute, IN 47807
Beer Challenge Rules
You must be 21+ to participate. (IDs will be checked and participants in this race will receive a different bib# / non-removable bracelet)

You can only consume 1 drink per lap
We also will have a non-beer Brat Trot 5k with all of the fun, but none of the course beer. This event is open to all ages. You will still complete 3 laps of our 1 mile course for your 5k. We will also have post-race awards for this event.
