Come join us to support our OPSF 50|50 trail runners or hikers to prepare for the upcoming OPSF 50|50 Trail Race Challenge on March 21, 2026. All paces and distances are welcome from 3 miles to 14-mile distances. Bring your favorite beverage or snack for after the run to enjoy other crazy trail runners or hikers. The Friends of McCormick's Creek are pleased to host their 20th annual 5K road race on Saturday, April 18th. This is a Mag 7 Series Race. It's a fast course with rolling hills in McCormick's Creek State Park. Proceeds will be used to develop and support projects and events that help preserve, restore, manage, and interpret the natural and cultural heritage and recreational opportunities of McCormick’s Creek State Park. Packet pick-up is 7:00am-8:15am at the Nature Center on race day. The race starts promptly at 8:30am. Refreshments and an awards ceremony follow the race.

Prizes are given to top male and female 5K overall runners and walkers. Awards granted to top 2 age group winners in 5K Run and first age group winners in 5K Walk. Those registering before April 3, 2026, can receive a race shirt. Shirts are available while supplies last after April 2nd. Race-day registration (cash or check only) will be $30 beginning at 7:00am at the Nature Center on April 18, 2026.

Post-race Pancakes and Sausage Breakfast available for $5. Please purchase by 4/15/2026 so we know how much to buy!

Severe Weather Policy: When thunder is heard or lightning is seen, race start will be delayed for 20 minutes. Subsequent thunder or lightning after the beginning of the initial 20-minute count will reset the clock for another 20-minute count. Race can be postponed a maximum of 75 minutes at which point it will be canceled. No refunds for weather cancelations.

The third annual Tristan Calvin 5k scholarship run will be on the Owen Valley xc course in memory of his many activities with the school. Tristan, as a Senior at Owen Valley had his life cut short...

The third annual Tristan Calvin 5k scholarship run will be on the Owen Valley xc course in memory of his many activities with the school. Tristan, as a Senior at Owen Valley had his life cut short during a traffic accident on July 20th, 2023. Tristan never met a stranger and was giving to a fault. His parents are starting this scholarship in his name to keep that giving spirit alive. Please consider a donation in his name and bringing your family and friends out to walk or run with us in his memory.

Registration will open at 6:45am with the race starting at 8:00am.

Awards will be awarded to the top running and walking individuals as well as runner age group winners.

Join us for the third year of this race on our beautiful course. The 3rd annual MYPath 5k will take place on Saturday, September 12th at 8:30 am. The race will start and finish at the Owen County Fairgrounds and will travel over portions of the MYPath trail before returning to town. This is a flat, fast course that uses both paved and unpaved sections of MYPath. It's a beautiful route along the White River, over a wonderful bridge, and through the Tree Tube Trail.

Race-day check-in and onsite registration starts at 7am
