Please join us for the 26th Annual Runnin' with the Irish 5K benefiting St. Patrick School in Chesterton. The course uses paved roads and winds through the scenic Indiana Dunes State Park. Park admission is waived for participants. Student discount available. Race Shirts are not guaranteed for registrations received after February 23rd.

7:00am – Race Day Packet Pick-up

8:30am – Kids Fun Run

9:00am – Competitive 5k Run

9:01am – Non-Competitive 5k Walk

PACKET PICKUP

We encourage participants to utilize early packet pickup if possible, to avoid race-day lines.

- Friday, March 13 - 3:30pm-7PM Val's Pizza,112 S 11th St, Chesterton
Race Day Packet Pickup
- Saturday, March 14 – 7:00am at the Indiana Dunes State Park City West Shelter. Online registration will close at 8:55am.
AWARDS

5K awards will be given as follows:

· Overall Male & Female winner

· Overall Masters (40+) Male & Female winner

· Kids age group awards, 0-18 years, 1st-6th place*

· Adult age group awards, 1st-3rd place*

· Clydesdale (210+ lbs)/Athena (170+ lbs), 1st-3rd

· Kids Fun Run - all participants will receive a finisher prize

*Age Groups are top male & top female runners in each age group: 0-8; 9-10; 11-12; 13-14; 15-18; 19-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+

Awards will be available on-site after the race during the postrace ceremony. After race day, awards will be available for 14 days at Extra Mile Fitness Co., 3400 N. Calumet Ave., Valparaiso during regular business hours.

Join us on April 25th, 2026 for the Second Annual Run the Spectrum 5K at Coffee Creek Water Preserve in Chesterton Indiana . A community celebration of inclusion, awareness, and support for individuals and families affected by autism. This uplifting event welcomes runners, walkers, families, and supporters of all ages and abilities.

Participants can enjoy area featuring local nonprofits dedicated to autism support and advocacy, who will be on-site handing out resources, information, and giveaways. Stick around for complimentary snacks and beverages, perfect for refueling and connecting with fellow participants.

Overall & Age Group Awards

Awards will be presented for both the 5K and 10K runs. Both races qualify for Race the Region Series points – Top Overall Male & Top Overall Female, Top Masters Male & Top Masters Female, Top 3 Male and Female in the following age groups: 10 & under, 11-12, 13-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and up

Race Course:

The course is relatively flat and will be on the paved bike trail.

Registration and packet pick up:

ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST REGISTER ONLINE. ONLINE REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN ON RACE MORNING UNTIL 7:30 AM.

Pre-Race Packet Pick Up will be available Friday, June 19th from 11 AM to 6 PM, and Saturday, June 20th from 11 AM to 5 PM at the Extra Mile Fitness Company, 3400 Calumet Ave. , Valparaiso, Indiana 46383.

Onsite packet pick up will be available on race morning beginning at 6:30 AM

10K Run starts at 7:30AM

5K Run/walk starts at 7:45AM

Participants must start with 5 minutes of the official start of each race. Participants failing to cross the starting line at the appropriate time may result in disqualification.

"BECAUSE YOUR TRAINING DESERVES A GREAT RACING EXPERIENCE” race features include:
- Custom Finishers Award
- Timing mats at the Starting Line and Chip Timing for Finish Results
- Live results via text and email messaging
- All turns will have directional signs
- No processing fee for online signup
Race Premium sizes are guaranteed to those registered by June 10th.

Overall and Age Group Awards may be claimed within 14 days following the event at The Extra Mile Fitness Co., 3400 Calumet, Valparaiso, IN 46383. After 14 days all unclaimed awards will be donated or recycled. Participants that do not pick up their race shirt on or before race day are not guaranteed a shirt.

Join us on September 19th at Coffee Creek Preserve in Chesterton, IN, for the second annual CKF's 5k for Life. New this year, we will also have a virtual component in case you are not local to the Chesterton area! We will bring the community together to share the message of organ, eye, and tissue donation and show the world what a transplant makes possible.

Currently, in the United States over 103,000 individuals are awaiting life-savinng transplant and only 48% of Americans sign up to help them while 96% say they agree with organ donation.CKF aims to educate and inspire individuals to make a difference and register as organ, eye, and tissue donors. We welcome everyone to participate in our 5k, whether you have a connection to donation and transplant, or want to get out and be active. This event is for all ages and abilities. You can walk or run the race, whichever you are comfortable with. We will have local vendors, all racers will receive a t-shirt, music, and more, so make sure you sign up today! Registration is $20 for adults and $15 for kids (Under 12).

Registration will open at 9 am, and the race will begin at 10:30 am!

You can register as an individual or as a team. If you cannot attend person but would like to support CKF, easily donate to a racer or generally to CKF through the donate button!
