The Central Illinois Summer Trail Series is excited to host the second race of the season at Black Partridge Park in Metamora, IL—home of the Metamora Redbirds cross country team and a local favorite for challenging, scenic runs!
This 450+ acre gem delivers over 8 miles of flowing singletrack that winds through deep ravines, crosses creeks on numerous bridges, climbs steep hillsides to wooded plateaus, and rolls through mature forests with rolling terrain and natural obstacles. Expect an exciting mix of technical sections, shaded canopy, and that classic Midwest trail magic—perfect for testing your legs and soaking up summer vibes in the woods.

Run like it's almost midnight in the Clinton County Who's the Fairest 5K Run/Walk! This event benefits the Clinton County Fair Pageant Programs and scholarships. Because it's about more than high heels and hairspray, each year we stress the importance of fitness, community and charity with this event. The race begins and ends at the Clinton County Fairgrounds. If you are not available to attend our race in person but you would still like to support our efforts...be a Sleeping Beauty/Beast and dream about our success or run remotely. Whether you join us on the morning of 7/12, sleep in, or just make a donation we sincerely appreciate you partnering with us.
SUMMER FUN FOR KIDS!
In Play Productions is pleased to present the 12th annual Springfield Kids Triathlon (formerly known as the HSHS St. Johns Children Hospital and SCHEELS Kids Triathlon). This event is a fun and exciting challenge for kids ages 6 to 15. All registrants receive a finisher’s medal, event t-shirt and refreshments, as well as a chance to win an age group award.
The Course: The swim will be held in the Nelson Center's 50-meter pool. The bike is around Lincoln Park, and the run takes place on a grass field in Lincoln Park.

We hope you will join us for our annual 5k Run/Walk event supporting the Olympia Bass Fishing Team! Our youth fishing team travels all over the state competing in tournaments in the Fall and Spring. We are dedicated to teaching our young anglers the joys of fishing and promoting teamwork and sportsmanship. Your support will help with tournament fees, travel expenses, and equipment needs.
Following the race, be sure to stick around and enjoy the rest of Stanford’s Good Old Days Festival.
Festival activities include: food/ craft vendors and live music at the park, parade, car show, pool games, pony rides, petting zoo, and foam party. The evening will conclude with a grand fireworks display. Full schedule and details about the festival can be found on their Facebook page.

Join us at Opie’s 116 for the Woodford County stop on the Spirits Run • Illinois Adventure Series — a statewide journey to complete a 5K in all 102 counties. Roanoke offers a quiet, scenic stretch of prairie roads and a peaceful turnaround at the historic Roanoke Township Cemetery, creating the perfect blend of small‑town charm and classic Spirits Run atmosphere.
This untimed, community‑focused 5K begins and ends at Opie’s 116, where runners will check in, grab their swag, and enjoy the post‑run celebration. The route follows safe, low‑traffic streets with a simple out‑and‑back design, making it friendly for walkers, runners, strollers, and anyone collecting their next county stamp
Michael had a heart for running, so to meet the goals of the foundation, a 5K run was established, the “Michael’s 5K run for life.” A large number of people can solve the most difficult problems in life if they act together.

THIS IS NOT A "MUD" RACE! The 30th Annual Mud Mountain 5K Classic and Mile Fun Run is a unique opportunity for runners of all ages and abilities to get off the roads and pavement and run on a true cross country course, all while helping the Edwardsville Cross Country and Track and Booster Club raise funds for the 2025/2026 seasons. The course being used is a NCAA certified course and is used by both the SIUE Cougars and the EHS Tigers throughout the season. The course is run almost entirely on grass and is as beautiful as it is challenging!
By competiing in Mud Mountain XXX, you will be supporting the EXCTF Booster Club. Our booster club is unique, as it provides support for both boys teams and girls team in cross country and track and field, at not only Edwardsville High School, but Liberty Middle School and Lincoln Middle School as well. In all, the EXCTF Booster Club supports over 500 athletes each year.
We are still trying to work with SIUE on parking. Final parking directions will be sent out before the event. For now, plan that we will have you park at the designated parking lots on University Drive on the SIUE campus. From the parking lots, you will be shuttled by bus to the SIUE Cross Country Course. Only cars with handicaped plates will be allowed to park at the course. Please arrive early to provide additional time for the bus shuttle. Thank you.

T Shirts and bib numbers can be picked up at The Cyclery and Fitness Center at 2472 Troy Road in Edwardsville, IL between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Friday, July 24. If you plan on registering at the course on race day, please arrive early. Please be sure to park in the designated parking lots and not at the course. Be sure to arrive in time to be shuttled to the course in time to register, warm up and/or pickup your bib. The 5K race will begin at 8:00 a.m. with the Mile Fun Run to follow.
The Twilight River Run, presented by Riddell National Bank, will be on Friday, July 24th at Fairbanks Park. This is a 1 Mile run/walk or a 5k run/walk and please note, this is a NIGHT race. Register by July 18th to guarantee a shirt. Race day registration will be available.
Race packet pickup will be located at the YMCA from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM on July 24th.
Each year the Twilight River Run includes a high school team event were schools can compete as a group to win money for their school running program. Each team must consist of at least four members. High school awards for both girls and boys. The four fastest times from each team will be used for the team placement. Team members are eligible for individual age group awards. The school team with the lowest cumulative time will win $250, and the second place team will win $100 for their school running program.
The Twilight River Run also funds the WVRR Scholarship Program. Each year WVRR awards two scholarships to outstanding student athletes from the Wabash Valley. Applicants are evaluated based on their academic and athletic accomplishments as well as the contributions they make to their schools and communities. Run Mahomet is proud to continue to be a main fundraiser to support Mahomet Area Youth Club (MAYC)*, a vital non-profit organization providing education, programming, and community to our children. Run Mahomet offers USATF Certified Courses for the 5k, 10k, and the ½ Marathon. Chip timing is provided by It’s Race Time, Inc. for in-person runners. The course is primarily flat and considered fast. Virtual options are available for all races. Virtual runners will not be included in official timed results, but times can be submitted for final rankings. Virtual runners may run anytime the week before the in-person race date. Drive-through packet pick up time is from 7am - 7pm in the circle drive at Middletown Prairie, 1301 Bulldog Dr, Mahomet, IL 61853. All local runners are encouraged to pick up their packet on Friday.
If you are traveling a distance you may pick up your packet on-site race day, Saturday, August 3rd from 5:30 to 6:45 am at Mahomet-Seymour High School, 302 W State St, Mahomet, IL 61853.
Mailing is an option for an additional fee of $5.00 at the time of sign up for virtual runners
*MAYC is a not-for-profit youth club that services members ages 6-18 and their families. For over 300+ youth each year, they work to improve attendance, grades, behavior, and school engagement. This youth club is vital to the youth of Mahomet and 100% of your additional donation goes to support MAYC and the kids. The Tom Short 5k course is run on the beautiful General Dacey Trail, in Shelbyville, Illinois's Forest Park. This race is very unique, challenging and competitive!
Some of the areas elite athletes from colleges and high schools come to take on the difficult course and break the course record set in 2018, a time of 15:29! It's a great race for spectators as you can see the runners from many locations and cheer them on as they finish the race - creating an awesome atmosphere!
Finishing in the Top 10 at the Tom Short 5K is a huge accomplishment and if you do, you will receive an additional Tom Short Race Shirt with your place on it!
If you like being a part of a team, we have an option for team cross country scoring. Form a team of five runners and sign-up on race day for the team competition. After the race has finished we take each of your individual places and add them up for a total team score. We have a Male, Female & Mixed Team Division. The winners of each group will go home with a plaque!
Our post race refreshments are what we are known for and they are FANTASTIC!!!

The refreshments are one of the ways to celebrate a great run and after the awards have been handed out, head to the Shelbyville Family Aquatic Center where we continue the celebration with a post race party at the pool. All participants and their families are welcome to join us and we also host a "BIG SPLASH" event for all ages! If, in your age group, you have the biggest splash, you will win a pair of Tom Short Race Shorts!

Be part of Indiana’s ONLY Gravel Triathlon! Offering beginner-friendly distances and terrain, this course mixes the elements of a sprint triathlon, gravel cycling, and trail running! The gravel ride is relatively flat with very gentle hills. The trail run is moderate, with mostly stable surface and a few short ups and downs.
Most of the route is wide enough for easy passing.
For those that don’t want to swim, enter the duathlon or the kayak triathlon!
10K Trail Run
o All finishers in a bonus race will receive at least 1 bonus point.
o A finish in the top 10% of men or women earns 10 points.
o A finish in the 80% to 90% of men or women's rankings earns 9 points.
o The distribution continues so that the bottom 10% of men and women finishers each earn 1 bonus point.

Griffin Bike Park is a purpose-built facility catering to mountain bikers! The facility includes a full spectrum of mountain bike feature. It includes everything from easy XC style riding, pump tracks, jump lines, technical structures, and a dual slalom course.
The DINO Series race course is a 6-mile loop that contains a mix of wider, faster trail with ample passing room, with sections of moderately challenging singletrack. The singletrack sections have numerous quick ups and downs, rewarding handling skills and power.
