We are excited to invite you to the 6th Annual Blue Hope Colon Cancer Awareness 5K! Join us on Saturday, April 4th, at Miramar Regional Park! The 5K is a chipped-timed race. Awards will be provided to the top 3 overall and age groups. We encourage you to wear blue for the cause!

Invite your family, friends, coworkers, and community to join you as we walk or run together in support of colon cancer awareness. Group discounts are available. Rally your team and make an impact together! 💙👟

Group Discount: Register as a group of 5 and get $15 off at checkout, or gather a group of 10 to save $30.

The proceeds from this event will support two essential programs of We Stand Together, Inc (WST). The WST Financial Assistance Program provides emergency funding to help cover living expenses for cancer patients undergoing active treatment. Additionally, the Natalie Marc Surpris Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to undergraduate college students who are battling cancer themselves or have a parent affected by cancer or who has passed away due to the disease.

We hope you will join us as we come together to encourage, uplift, and support those in our community impacted by cancer. Whether you form and run with a team or join individually, we thank you for taking a STAND with us in the fight for a GREAT cause!

EVENT DETAIL

Finisher medals, race bibs, and t-shirts are included in the registration fee.

Race Day Schedule:

6:30 a.m. - Registration/Check-in and Packet Pick-up

7:00 a.m. - Opening Ceremony and race warm-up session with a fitness instructor and DJ

7:30 a.m. - 5K Race begins (Timed Race option is Available)

8:30 a.m. - Award Ceremony

There will be a children's corner with entertainment, fun field events for all participants, food/health vendors, and more.

Pre-Race Packet Pick-up

We encourage you to pick up your race bib and t-shirt before race day, on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 12:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

It’s a Fun Run! The Jamaica Hi-5KRun/Walk fundraiser brings the vibes of reggae, rum and fun to Miramar Regional Park on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Led by Jamaica’s Consul General to the Southeast USA, Oliver Mair, the event is the major fundraiser for the Adopt-A-Clinic initiative which supports health clinics in Jamaica.

The Jamaica Hi-5K Run/Walk has resonated positively in the community and is fast becoming the major health and wellness event in the Caribbean community.

Race Hi-5K Run/walk starts at 7:00 A.M. (EST)

Post-race celebration 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. (EST) Features Jamaican Food, Reggae Music and Lots of Fun.

About

This event is a fundraiser dedicated to assisting those with Mixed-Connective Tissue Disease (MCDT) and other autoimmune conditions through our parent organization, Women of H.OP.E. Our mission began with a heart to provide those with MCTD hair prothesis, due to one of the symptoms being hair loss. That has extended to medical assistance, care, and emotional support. If you or someone you know is facing an autoimmune condition, Women of H.O.P.E. is here to lend a hand. If you have any questions about this race, please get in touch with the race director at info@hairpeace5k.com

Why Join

Your registration helps us to provide assistance, hair prosthesis, and in aiding those with MCTD to receive the care they need.

We invite you to run or walk at our certified course at Miramar Regional Park. Race t-shirts and finisher medals are guaranteed for the first 300 registrants. Shirt sizes allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis and not guaranteed.

Virtual Race Option

The virtual race can be done on your own time and at your own pace. The only requirement is to email a screenshot of your logged miles from your running app of choice and we'll mail your t-shirt and medal! Send by email to info@hairpeace5k.com
