8 running events in Madera County, California

The Minarets Endurance Classic is a bike race at Tesoro Viejo for mountain bikers and gravel grinders to enjoy with family and friends. Racers can choose from a 3 or 6-hour format. If 3 or 6 hours is too long to race by yourself, put together a two to four person team. Teams will send out one rider at a time and trade off completing loops however they choose and complete as many loops as possible in the allotted time. Any team with at least one member who rides an E-Bike will race in the E-Bike category. Costume Contest for youth and adults!!

The Millerton Lake Sprint Triathlon has long been known as a great "first lake swim" triathlon, and a warm up for the upcoming season. But don't let the bike and run distances fool you, there are a few steep hills on the ride, and the trail portion of run is a challenge.

More of a good thing... The Olympic Distance has a more challenging swim, two loops of the bike course, and two loops of the run course with a trail run heading out, a paved road coming back and beautiful Millerton Lake as the backdrop.

Note:

A USAT membership is required for the Triathlon, (but not the 5k/10k) If you do not have one, you can purchase one during the registration process. Per USAT rules, multisport participants must present ID and USAT membership card at packet pickup.

Total participation at this event is capped at 200. Register before it is sold out.

There is a $10 vehicle entrance fee.

Join the San Joaquin Valley Dental Hygienists’ Association (SJVDHA) for our annual Pacing for Prevention 5k! Together, we’ll take steps toward raising awareness and supporting groundbreaking research dedicated to the prevention, early detection, and treatment of head, neck, and oral cancers.

This year we will be raising funds to support the American Cancer Society.

Trail: This moderately challenging 5k (3.1 miles) paved trail is stroller and dog-friendly. The path includes a few steep hills for an extra challenge and some nice views. It’s a comfortable, scenic route that’s easy to enjoy for all ages.

The Yosemite Half is a mostly-downhill, scenic course through the Sierra National Forest just outside Yosemite National Park, finishing right in front of beautiful Bass Lake. In May, the lake is full and the waterfalls are pumping, so there is truly no better time to visit!
