    Course Description: Step into action at Kiwanis Park in your EMS gear for a cause that truly matters. The Arizona Trauma Association invites you to participate in our annual Tackle Trauma 5K Race and Fundraiser, where every stride you take helps save lives and raise awareness about trauma.

    Virtual Participation: Can't make it to Tempe? No problem! Join us virtually and complete your 5K wherever you are. You'll still be part of the excitement and contribute to this important cause. Virtual participants will receive a race packet, including a neon-themed t-shirt and race bib.

    Why Participate? Trauma doesn't discriminate. It can affect anyone, causing lifelong suffering and burdening our healthcare system. Shockingly, traumatic injuries are the leading cause of death for children and adults up to age 46. This is a pressing public health issue that demands our attention!

    We believe in providing the best care for injured patients through an inclusive and integrated trauma system. Your participation in our annual fundraiser fuels injury prevention, education, and research efforts to reduce fatalities in our great state.

    How it Works:

    • Arrive Early to Demo the All-New On Cloudmonster 3 & Cloudrunner 3 - Collect Raffle Tickets

    • At 6:00p - Run to as many checkpoints as possible, collecting raffle tickets along the way

    • Return to The Shop by 7:00p to put all your raffle tickets into the drawing

    • Grab discounted beers from The Shop & great food from the Food Truck

    Running Route & Directions:

    This is an Adventure-Run style event, meaning there is no set route. For those who register early, you will receive the map of all checkpoints in your inbox by 4:30p. This gives you an hour to plan the best route and collect as many raffle tickets as possible! For those who do not register early, you will receive the checkpoints on-site at 5:55p.

    Checkpoints will be scattered around Downtown Tempe & Tempe Town Lake - highlighting all the amazing local businesses we have here in our city! Some of the further checkpoints will have 2-3 raffle tickets, so plan your route wisely!

    For the efficient route runners, it is possible to hit 90-100% of the checkpoints.

    For those running more casually, you can expect to hit 60-80% of the checkpoints.

    Raffle tickets will also be awarded to those who demo a pair of Brooks Running Shoes & Meet with our Balega Sock Rep!

    Parking:

    Parking will be limited at The Shop, so we recommend the free street parking along W 1st St between Beck & Farmer Ave.

    The Rules:

    • Hydrate! We will have water & Electrolyte Drink for you before the run

    • Obey all traffic laws as you run from checkpoint to checkpoint. This is not a closed course

    • No scooters, bikes, skateboards or other modes of transportation allowed

    • Have fun and be respectful of others!

    • Interact with our vendors and buy some beer and/or food - they help make this all possible!
