The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen.
TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. The Race will be held on Saturday, September 26th, 2026 at Skyline Aquatic Center, located at 845 S Crismon Rd. Mesa, AZ 85208 on Crismon and Southern. The triathlon will consist of a 400 meter swim, 12 mile bike ride a 5km run. It is intended to be a safe and fun event for seasoned and first-time triathletes alike.
You also have the option to register for the Duathlon, Relay, or Kids Splash n Dash to include the kids.

Battle of the Branches is an annual event to raise awareness in the fight against Veteran suicide.
The 5K Run / Walk event is a friendly competition between all branches of the military.
One Branch wins the title for the most registered participants.
but the real WINNERS are the Veterans, their families, and those of you who registered for the event.
Proceeds from this event support Veteran-specific services, including Navigation, Peer Support, Advocacy, and Education
It is estimated that at least one in five Veterans and service members will struggle with substance abuse, relationship issues, stress, hopelessness, and even thoughts of suicide. It is reported that 22 Veterans per day complete suicide, which is substantially higher in comparison to the general population. As part of the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program, the goal is to reduce those numbers.
Rally Point Navigators provide the needed guidance, access to resources, and peer support necessary to ensure those who have served us know they are not alone. While services provided are free to Veterans, military members, and their families, financial support through fundraisers, donations, and sponsorships is needed to support the Rally Point Arizona Navigator program and any veteran-specific services.
