7 running, walking, and fun run events in Glendale, Arizona

The Sixth Annual WESD 5k Walk/Run Event will take place on Saturday, February 21 at the ASU West Campus. All participants will be timed and awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers!

• Health Fair: 8:00 - 10:30 a.m.

• Registration/Check In: 8:00 - 9:00 a.m.

• Welcome Announcements: 9:00 a.m.

• Kids Dash: 9:05 a.m.

• Guided Stretch: 9:15 a.m.

• 5k Begins: 9:15 a.m.

Location: ASU West Campus

Runners/walkers will not be allowed to start more than 5 minutes past the start time for safety and contractual reasons, so please be on time as we want you to participate!

Water and healthy snacks will be available before and after the race.

Awards:

Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female finishers in each age division:

Age 11-19

Age 20-29

Age 30-39

Age 40-49

Age 50-59

Age 60-69

Age 70+

**Kids ages 10 and under will earn medal for participating in Kids Dash prior to 5k start.

Spectator Information: We welcome spectators to cheer on our runners!

Furry friends/pets will not be allowed in the event or on the field/premises for safety reasons.

Join WellStyles and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona for a walk/run event in the City of Glendale.

The event is open to all City of Glendale employees, family, friends, and community members.

Please do not bring pets to this event due to safety reasons. Service animals only

The cost is just $10.00 and children 12 and under are free. Register by January 28 to be guaranteed an event t-shirt.

**PRICE INCREASE - The cost of the event will increase to $15.00 per person on 2/14/2026.

The first 600 people will receive a shirt but only those who registered by January 28 will be guaranteed their chosen size

Event Schedule

• 8:00 am – Registration

• 9:00 am – 5k run/walk starts

• 9:05 am – 1-mile walk starts

• 9:00 am – 11:30 am – Free Community Wellness Fair following the race

• 9:30 am - 12:30 pm - Free Rock Wall Climb inside the Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center

• Awards for the top 3 male and female 5K finishers!

• Finisher medal for all 5K or 1-mile finishers

• Event T-shirt, sign up by January 28 to be guaranteed a shirt to the first 600 registered participants.

• Pre and post-race refreshments, water stations on the course

• Free parking is available in the Foothills Recreation and Aquatic Center main lot.

• Overflow parking available at adjacent City of Glendale facilities:
