Anti Smelly Run Club emerged in May 2025 from a simple joke that became serious. Founders Afiq, Danish, and Rifdi saw Singapore's growing running scene and decided to create something different: a crew that trained hard but refused to lose its humor in a landscape obsessed with aesthetics and professionalism. What began as casual runs around Sengkang evolved into structured training plans and race commitments, with Raiyan stepping up as captain. The eight-strong North East crew now tackles marathons and trail events while staying true to their founding motto: "Sweat happens. Smell doesn't." Their Thursday 6 PM gatherings at Rhu Cross Exercise Corner have become the crew's heartbeat, where medium-distance social runs balance performance with genuine connection, welcoming runners of all levels.
The bass drops at 6 PM sharp as hundreds of headlamps bob through Singapore's predawn darkness. This is RUN & AFTERS, where Beyond Miles Club transforms the city's streets into a pulsating festival of movement and music. Founder Sudhar launched the club in July 2025 with a singular vision: break free from Singapore's traditionally structured running scene and create space where community, rhythm, and joy matter more than pace or distance. Within months, the crew grew to around 4,000 members, a testament to how many runners were searching for exactly this. Beyond the signature run, the club offers free weekly runs capped at 6:00 minutes per kilometer, plus specialized events like Hyrox training, pilates sessions, cycling adventures, and even yacht yoga. Every activity is built on the same philosophy: movement should feel communal and playful, a lifestyle choice rather than a performance metric.
Josh spent a decade in Singapore's nightlife scene building events and festivals, until the lifestyle caught up with him. The gym felt lonely. Running felt like punishment. Group fitness felt performative. Instead of another training app, he reframed the entire equation: what if the run came before the night out, not after? Conscious Clubbing launched in November 2025 with a simple mechanic, every 250 calories burned earns a free drink coupon. No membership fees, no performance requirements, no gatekeeping. Around 800 people have signed up; sessions draw 80-plus runners with hundreds on the waitlist. Wednesday and Saturday runs depart from bars across the city, each with its own character: the GAJA run from Joo Bar builds social conversation over short distances; Run Run Run pairs intervals with live DJs and chicken dinner; the Lerun session on Saturday splits into easy social and proper track work. What started as one founder's personal reset became a quiet revenue driver for Singapore's
struggling F&B venues, over SGD $3,000 per event, while keeping the entry barrier at zero. Elite swimmers run alongside first-timers. Sober runners get non-alcoholic substitutes without explanation. The whole operation runs on volunteer pacers and word of mouth. No paid ads. No sponsors. Just people showing up to move, earn, and stay.
Easy Pace* Run Club started as two friends sharing runs and reflections on Instagram in July 2024, then grew into something neither expected. What began as a personal running journal became a gathering place for Singapore runners who wanted the sport to feel less like a competition and more like a reason to show up. The crew now meets regularly to explore Singapore's mix of urban streets and green spaces, moving at a pace that lets people talk, breathe, and actually enjoy being there. Two pace groups mean no one gets left behind or held back. After each run, the energy continues at local spots where the real friendships form. The philosophy is simple: running belongs to everyone, and the best runs end in conversation.
Fast and Free Running Club launched in Singapore in September 2022 when a group of friends realized running hits different when you've got people by your side. What started as a simple belief, that the city itself could become their running track, has grown into a welcoming crew of all paces and levels. Founded on the philosophy that you can chase hard efforts without taking yourself too seriously, Fast and Free combines ambitious running with an easygoing vibe. No pressure. Just run. The crew gathers twice weekly, Saturdays at 6:30am for the Kaya Run on Robinson Road and Thursdays at 7pm for Toasted Thursday on the 100Plus Track. Beyond the kilometers, post-run breakfasts linger long after the finish line, turning every session into a reason for community.
