  Get ready to kick off spring with a fun and fast race! Join us for the Fools 4 Mile on Saturday, April 11th, at 10:00 AM. The race will start at 1130 W. Omaha (Black Hills Running Co.). This is a great opportunity to challenge yourself and enjoy the company of fellow runners in the beautiful Black Hills.

  Those who participated in the 2026 Frozen Challenge, as well as the Fools 4 we’re celebrating with a Pizza Party at Marco’s at 11:30 AM—because what’s better than running and pizza? 🍕

  Whether you're running to set a PR or just out for a fun time, this race has something for everyone. Be there early, and let’s make it a race to remember!

  COURSE DESCRIPTION:

  This race is a figure eight run on gravel road, technical dirt single track, and the historic flume trail. It's called a 10k, but the actual distance is closer to a 12k, 7.5 miles. Elevation gain is close to 1200', most of which is packed into the first half of the race. Conserve energy early so you can finish hard in the flats.

  Directions: From Rapid City, drive westbound on US16 to Rockerville (approx. 9 miles from Catron Blvd). Immediately after passing Rockerville turn right on Silver Mountain Road. Trailhead and start of race are ¼ mile off US16. Trailhead is small, so please carpool if possible.
