The Cape Chignecto Provincial Park is known for its beauty as well as its challenging vertical gain and single track technical trails. PLEASE Pay attention to Event Start times!

    2025 Chiggy Ultra Events:

The Rockhammer - 9K - This is a short but hilly fun run. Perfect for building confidence in runners new to the trails and/or friends and family waiting for their 1, 2, or 3 looper to finish. It has a little bit of everything: hills, technical terrain, two really fun downhill sections... and a few look offs for the views!

Start time Saturday Oct 3rd at 7 AM for The Rockhammer

One Loop - As in years past, it starts out including McGahey Canyon trail, then heading counter clockwise around Cape Chignecto. This will get you approx 2200 meters of Vertical Gain and just over 51 kilometers. On this run you will hit 3 Aid Stations, and probably a lot of mud. It's mostly single track technical trail. Are you ready for an adventure?

Start time Saturday Oct 3rd at 7 AM for One Loop

Two Loops - Finish one loop and are you prepared to complete what not many have, a second loop. One has some serious bragging rights. Two, twice as many. You will hopefully have a lot of Vert training in the bank. As you head out, those watching you leave will think "Wow, that person must eat galvanized nails for breakfast everyday." The bright side, you'll spend good chunks of your 2nd loop with a lot of others on the trail.

Start time Saturday Oct 3rd at 12 AM MIDNIGHT!!!!!!! for Two Loops

Three Loops - This is arguably the toughest accomplishment in the Maritime Provinces. If you sign up for this, you are an animal. You might get to experience not one, but two sunrises at Beautiful Cape Chignecto Park. But seriously, this is no joke. The distance might fall just short of 100 Miles, but the difficulty is NOT short of a 100 miler. You are a beast, just DO it. DO IT!

You WILL get a finishing Buckle.

OH IF you want to complete an official 100 miler, we can EASILY add an extra small section to achieve that.

Start time Saturday Oct 3rd at 12 AM MIDNIGHT!!!!!!! for Three Loops

Cut Offs: All Aid Stations will be closed by 12 pm on Sunday afternoon. Any runners still out on course at this time will be managed on a case by case basis.

Sign up today! Space is limited.

This is the Official Chiggy Ultra Blog website. Please check this frequently until Race Day as we will be updating it with Frequently Asked Questions, Mandatory Items and General Race info. There is a lot of stuff in here, you might just find the answer to your question!
