    This race is an out and back (50K will do it twice). The Seaton Trail includes single track, double track, a creek crossing, hills, stairs and some great views! It's everything you want in a trail race. You can choose to run or hike, bring your kids for the fun run, and stay to cheer your loved ones, we are here for you with this well marked, scenic course.

    1K Kids Run for 12 and under-Please note that children must be supervised by a parent or guardian

    7K Trail Run/Hike, don't worry you won't miss the creek crossing :)

    Race Kit Pick up on the day of the race at Pine Ridge High School Cafeteria or Friday May 8th, 2026 @ MEC/Whitby from 4-6:30PM. Registration opens at 7:15AM on Race Day. Follow the signs from the parking lot to behind the school.

    Please note, no dogs are allowed in the race.

    Our race is easily accessible off the 401 and begins at Pine Ridge High School, on Liverpool Rd. - Indoor bathrooms at Pine Ridge and Johnny on the Spots at the 15K/25K turnaround.

    All runners and hikers must complete their course in 9 hours. This is a strict policy in adherence with planning and permitting. Aid Stations, Medics, and Race Director can pull participants from the course if it is deemed unsafe or they can not complete in the time allotted. Poles are permitted for the 50K.

    Pacers/Deferrals/Refunds

    Pacers are not allowed, please contact the Jennifer/Race Director for unique circumstances. Due to planning purposes refunds are not possible. Please purchase the Race Roster Protection add on if you feel you may need it. Deferrals are given for unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the Race Director. Bib Transfers can be completed on Race Roster as well as distance changes.

    Proudly presented by Black Runners of the GTA (BRGTA) and the Canada Running Series Foundation (CRS Foundation), the Scarborough 5K brings people together to run, walk, connect, and celebrate local pride at beautiful Morningside Park.

    Built on accessibility, representation, and inclusivity, this event welcomes everyone. From first-time participants to experienced runners, creating a space where community comes first and everyone belongs.

    Registration Includes

    • Entry into the Scarborough 5K or 1K Kids Run

    • A mandatory minimum $15 charitable donation supporting BGC East Scarborough

With free admission to the Zoo included with registration, participants can stay at the Zoo and visit their favourite animals post-race!

    With a fundraising goal of $110,000, every dollar raised will directly support your Toronto Zoo’s Blanding’s Turtle Headstart Program as well as the new home of the program located within the Community Conservation Centre. This dedicated space will serve as the hub for incubation, and care, while also giving guests the opportunity to see hatchlings and learn firsthand about the importance of conservation programs at your Toronto Zoo.
