The Plus Strut™ is the first-ever 5K run/walk exclusively for plus-size women in North America, and we're back to make 2026 bigger, better, and even more empowering! In a country filled with countless 5K events, The Plus Strut stands out as a celebration of movement, health, and community for women who are rarely seen participating in events like this. We’re dedicated to creating a safe, welcoming space where plus-size women can take on this challenge, feel the incredible energy, embrace the diverse atmosphere, and be uplifted by the tremendous support and love. Our goal is for you to feel forever changed by the sense of pride and accomplishment you’ll gain as you cross the finish line.
Think this 5K isn't for you? Think again! Women of all fitness levels, from beginner to pro, have joined us from around the world. This isn’t the 5K where you’ll worry about being left behind – we’re all about moving at your own pace. Whether you walk, jog, or dance your way through, you’re moving faster than anyone sitting at home. Every stride counts, and every woman will be cheered on to the finish line because our goal is to finish together.
And in 2026, we’re making it more than just a race – it’s a full weekend experience! From our Friday Night Mixer to the Saturday morning 5K, the VIP Pillows & PJs event, and a Sunday Brunch, you’ll find endless opportunities to connect, have fun, and celebrate yourself. - 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM: Packet pick up Pre-race Mixer – Connect with fellow participants, enjoy refreshments, and kick off the weekend with fun and energy!
Saturday, May 2nd:

7:30 AM: On-site Registration Opens - Please arrive to the park for registration and pre-race activities by 7:30 AM. The race will start promptly at 9 AM.

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Race Check-In & Warm-Up – Get settled, stretch, and get ready to strut!

9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: The Plus Strut 5K – Walk, jog, or run at your own pace and celebrate every step!
Saturday Night, May 2nd:
- 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM: VIP Pillows & PJs Night (VIP Registration Holders) – Relax and unwind with an exclusive evening of comfort, connection, and fun.
Sunday, May 3rd:
- 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM: VIP Champions of Wellness Brunch (VIP Registration Holders) – Enjoy a delicious brunch and toast to an amazing weekend with your fellow strutters!

Support BrazilNation Academy, an international nonprofit empowering youth in Brazil and the United States through Olympic-level sports training, education, and wellness programs. Your ticket changes lives.
ABOUT THE EVENT
Atlanta’s first large-scale Brazilian Day celebration, uniting 2,000 runners and friends of the Brazilian-American community.
Brazilian Olympic athlete Fabiana Zaya Moraes opens the doors at BrazilNation Academy | Fields (3200 Atlanta Industrial Pkwy NW 30331).
WHAT TO EXPECT
After the 5K, the celebration continues with a Brazilian festival featuring music, food, games, and Brazilian sports activities.

Silver VIP area with a recovery station, massage, ice bath, snacks, sponsor refreshments, and more. We’re bringing the Brazilian vibe to Atlanta—you don’t want to miss it.

To create a premium experience, the street along Atlanta Industrial Way NW will be closed for race operations, with celebration space adjacent to Atlanta Industrial Pkwy NW—Brazilian Carnival energy on American soil.

$17 On-The-Go — Run With Purpose
Every Saturday at 8:00 AM we run together for a bigger cause.
Join our running club with official race timing. Proceeds support the costs of our Atlanta youth sports programs.
Goal: 280 tickets per month × $17 = $4,760 per month

$7 Monthly — Support a Kid, Empower a Nation

Run With Maud – 5K Run/Walk

Join us on August 29 for the annual Run With Maud 5K, a powerful act of remembrance, unity, and purpose. Held in honor of Ahmaud Arbery, this event is more than a race. It is a declaration that hope is louder than hate and that we will continue building communities rooted in justice, opportunity, and equity.
Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or cheer from the sidelines, your presence matters.
Proceeds from the Run With Maud 5K directly support scholarships for aspiring scholars, youth leadership and empowerment programming, and social justice advocacy and community engagement through the Ahmaud Arbery Foundation. This is how we continue Ahmaud’s legacy. This is how we make hope loud.

Virtual Participants Welcome
Can’t make it in person? You can still Run With Maud from anywhere in the world. Complete your 5K in your neighborhood, on a favorite trail, on a treadmill, or even while traveling. We encourage virtual participants to run in spirit alongside us on August 29.
After completing your race, submit your time on the RunSignUp Results Page and download your official finisher certificate. Virtual participant shirts will be mailed in mid August to the shipping address provided at registration. Virtual participants do not need to attend packet pick-up or race day.
Weather Policy
The Run With Maud 5K will take place rain or shine. In the event of lightning or severe weather, race officials will prioritize the safety of all participants, volunteers, and spectators. Any delays or cancellations will be communicated via email and social media.

Empowerment Resource Center invites you to be part of something powerful: the ERC Stride 5K for Mental Health Awareness, happening on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at the beautiful Shirley C. Franklin/Westside Park in Atlanta.

The Tech Race is Atlanta's inaugural community 5K: built for the engineers, founders, students, and operators who know that the same drive that gets you to launch gets you to the finish line. This is the first. The one people will say they were at when it all began. Be a part of it.

COURSE:
Nice wide start on White Street and merges onto the Beltline for an out and back, and returns to White St. Exits to cross over White St on the Lawton St bridge, then left onto a new section of the Beltline finishing behind the Wild Heaven Brewery.
USATF Certified Course. Your finish time will be eligible for placement consideration in the 2027 Peachtree Road Race.
PARKING & TRANSIT:
Parking available at the start line at Lee + White. Parking is free for the first 2 hours only. West End MARTA Station is nearby - Uber/rideshare from the station is recommended.
T-SHIRTS:
The Tech Race official t-shirt is included for all participants who register by August 5. Participants who register on Aug 5 and later are not guarenteed a race t-shirt - sign up early!
AGE GROUP AWARDS:
Age group awards will be presented to the top male and top female finishers in each of the following catagories:
14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+
Awards are based on net (chip) time. Overall winners are not eligibale for age group awards.
FINISHER MEDALS:
All finishers of the 5K will receive a custom The Tech Race finisher medal.
Please note: The Non-Timed Fun Walk Finishers will not recieve a medal.
NO STROLLERS/NO DOGS:
For the safety of all participants, strollers, dogs and scooters of any kind are not permitted on the course.
