Oakdale Fire Department is proud to announce the 11th annual Oakdale Fire 5k Fun Run/Walk and 10k Run to kick off Oakdale Fun Days.
Oakdale Fun Days is an Oakdale Fire Department fundraiser to help raise funds for fire prevention equipment as well as helping the area it serves to protect.
There will be food and drinks along with raffle prizes available for purchase and entertainment for everyone, including Softball, Bean Bag Toss, and live music.
We look forward to seeing you there.

RACE BEGINS PROMPLY AT 8:00AM!
The Race will begin and finish at the Oakdale Fire Station at 230 Ballpark Ave in Oakdale, WI.
Early packet/goody bag Pick-up is available at the Park Shelter prior to the start of the race.
Please arrive in a timely manner to ensure that delays are not made for the start of the race. Parking will be available to all.
Please bring any needed bug/sun protection and a smile.
Please wear appropriate running attire with comfortable running shoes.
Rain or Shine, don't forget to bring any weather related articles that may be needed

The Colby Cheese Days Race is dedicated to the memory of Lt. Jamison Kampmeyer who was killed in the line of duty as a member of the Colby Fire Department. Jamison, 34, was a loving husband, father to 3 young boys, Firefighter, EMT, SWAT team member, and a Deputy with the Marathon County Sheriff's Dept. Jamison was also an avid runner who participated in the 10k run during Cheese Days for many years. Jamison embodied the spirit of giving in both his professional and personal life. He leaves a legacy as a dedicated public servant and true hero who touched the lives of many. Jamison is greatly missed and will never be forgotten. So to honor his legacy and remember his spirit, we Run for Jamison.

EVENT DESCRIPTION:
The Black Squirrel Scurry is a triathlon that features a 2 mile paddle down the Prairie River, a 17.5 mile bike ride featuring the River Bend Trail out to the countryside of Lincoln County, and a 5K trail run through the Merrill Area Rec Complex and Council Grounds State Park. Park at the MARC and catch a shuttle bus to Prairie River Park.
RACE FEES: (Fees will rise July, 1)
$70 Solo Ages 20 and Older. ($80 after 7/1)
$45 Solo 19U
$140 Tandem and Relay Teams Ages 20 and Older. ($160 after 7/1)
$70 Tandem and Relay Teams 19U ($80 after 7/1)
Returning Champions and those requesting a seeded starting time need to have request sent to race director by July 15, 2022 for consideration.

WEATHER POLICY: If in the event of severe or threatening weather, course workers will communicate conditions and, by decision of the Merrill Fire Dept., may communicate to participants to immediately stop to seek shelter. If in the event heat indices begin to enter unhealthy zones, participants will be informed at transition stations. If a participant feels, at any time, that conditions are not safe to continue, please communicate to a course worker your status. The course may be shut down if heat indices enter a dangerous zone and all participants will be asked to stop.

Join us for the popular Athens Fair 5K Run/Walk that takes place in downtown Athens as part of the Annual Athens Fair. This year is the 16th running of the popular mid-summer run. The 5K starts at Memorial Park, (in front of the Beer Tent) routes through the scenic Erbach Park trails and finishes on Kreutzer Street at in Downtown Athens, next to the grocery store, Main Street Market. The race is made possible by the following local businesses and organizations.
