Please join us for our EIGHTH annual Baby Steps Foundation 5K to support those affected by pregnancy and infant loss. It's so crazy to see this crazy little idea we had to have a small 5K turn into
hundreds of people. We cannot thank you enough for your support.
REGISTRATION PURCHASED AFTER SEPTEMBER 20TH WILL NOT RECEIVE A SHIRT. We have to put in our shirt order two weeks before the race. We do order extras which will be available for purchase, first come first serve, AFTER the race. The price changes from $40 to $25 after September 20th so you are not charged for a shirt. Thank you for your understanding!!!
Baby Steps was created by moms affected or touched by loss. Our mission is to offer support to women and families while honoring their babies, as well as give back to the stillbirth and loss community. For those left behind, we hope to offer support, a safe space for grieving, and make a difference along the way.We have been doing a lot of things this past year and been blessed with many wonderful donations and support. But we can't wait to see what we can do with our 5K this year!
We will be at Roegner Park in Auburn again, because who doesn't want to walk along the river if you have to walk/run a few miles?! Parking will be available at Auburn Riverside High School but please pay attention to signage as parts of it are closed for other activities.
We thank you for supporting our mission and bringing a togetherness to a community that we are so passionate about. Your ticket purchase will include a t-shirt. Children's ticket purchases WILL include a shirt this year which is why the registration price is higher this year. If you do NOT wish to have a youth size t-shirt, you can choose NO SHIRT at checkout and $15 will be taken off the registration price for the standard $10 we usually do.
This trail will be fully paved and registration will be at the picnic shelter at Roegner Park. Pets are welcome they must be leashed and cleaned up after.
Schedule:
9:00 AM- Registration check-in and Shirt Pick-up
9:45 AM- Opening Announcements
10:00 AM- Race Begins
11:15 AM- Closing/Raffle Prizes
Donation Information:
If you would like to donate more than the ticket price of the race you can make checks out to Baby Steps Foundation or bring cash to drop in donation bin the day of the race. You can also visit www.babystepsfoundation.org for online donations or make a donation when you purchase your ticket.
The proceeds from the race will go directly to Baby Steps Foundation and supporting our mission.
We are currently funding the cremation program for miscarriages, stillbirths and infants at St. Joseph's hospital in Tacoma, WA and St. Elizabeth's hospital in Enumclaw, WA so no family has to financially take on that burden. We need to keep this fund going! The amount the hospital has needed has kept growing over the years. We have also funded headstones and donated mold kits to families at the hospital who have experienced a loss so they have something tangible to bring home with them. We have created Mama boxes for those early in their loss in 2021 and have received such amazing feedback on them. We have now sent out over 150 boxes. These are just some examples of service we have done in support of our mission.
We know these are difficult times for everyone, especially small businesses, but if your are interested in being a sponsor, please contact us!

5Ks are fun. Beer is fun. 5Ks & Beer are typically not a natural pairing….typically. However, on Sunday, October 5th, the best of both worlds collide for the second annual STEIN DASH – and this year
will again be EXCITING, for sure! (How you ask? Keep reading…).
So, here's the plan. You and your bestest friends are going to meet us at the start line Sunday morning. You're going to wander over to packet pickup where you will receive a pretty sweet Commemorative Stein, an awesome event shirt, a bib number, and a high-five. Then we shoot off our gun and you get running.
3.1 miles is no marathon but it still requires a pit stop (or three) and honestly water at on-course stops are a thing of the past. Grab your Stein, fill it up with a different beer at each of our three Beer Zones and chug, sip, sample, taste, pound – however you want to do it – just drink that beer and get back on the course because the clock still runs as you drink.
We are all going to be super proud of you when you finish the race, so we'd like to celebrate with a free entry into Oktoberfest! All you have to do is keep walking….the Finish Line is going to aim you right into the amazing Festhalle at Oktoberfest NW. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. The beer will be flowing, there's football on TVs, huge selection of awesome beer, food, WEINER DOG RACES, and of course… MORE BEER.
Returning This Year – The Kids Root Beer Run! Now there's a race for the under 21s! Kids 10 and under can register now for the Root Beer Run. A 1/2 Mile Kids Run with the same premise as the adults. Run, Chug Run! At the halfway mark, kids will be greeted with a root beer to chug before racing to the finish line. All registered kids will receive an awesome kids root beer run shirt, stein, and root beer inside Oktoberfest!
There isn't a lot more to tell you about – so just go ahead and click that "register" button at the top of the page and get signed up before we sell out
To allow beer stop volunteers a better opportunity to keep the beer flowing, we're asking participants to select a starting corral. Choices will be 10:00am, 10:20am, 10:40am - select your start time, tell your friends and get ready to Stein Dash!
ALL participants will receive:
A Sweet Stein Dash Race Shirt
A Commemorative Tasting Stein
3 On Course Beer Stops
Free Entry Into Oktoberfest (This year, a post-run beer is NOT included, but we'll hook you up on course)
Any questions? Shoot us an email, we'll make sure to get you answers and promise you'll still have a blast!

Saturday, October 24th
Set the stage for something special this fall at the Greenlake 5K—a race built for momentum, energy, and personal breakthroughs.
On Saturday, October 24th, runners will take on
a flat, fast lap around Green Lake Park, one of Seattle’s most iconic running destinations. Whether you’re chasing your first finish line or your fastest time ever, this course is designed to help you unlock your best.
This is a race for everyone. All paces and experience levels are welcome, runners and walkers alike. Whether you’re pushing for a PR or simply showing up to move your body and be part of something positive, you belong on this start line.
Feel the rhythm of the course, the support of the community, and the surge of competition as you dial into your pace. With official pacers leading groups at 17:00 through 24:00, you won’t just be running, you’ll be chasing a goal with purpose and precision.
For those ready to compete at the highest level, elite male and female waves will take the line, racing for prize money and pushing the pace up front. With $500 for 1st place, $250 for 2nd, and $125 for 3rd overall, the front of the race will be electric, setting the tone for everyone chasing their own breakthrough behind them.
Every step brings you closer to something meaningful. Every mile builds toward that moment when you cross the finish line, stronger, faster, and proud.
Your registration includes a custom race shirt, finisher medal, and chip timing, because every effort deserves to be remembered and every second counts.
This isn’t just another 5K. It’s your shot to rise, to push, and to prove what you’re capable of.

Objective:
You and your team must retrieve the rogue ghosts and return them to their gravestones in Civic Park
The first team to return all six ghosts and hit the finish button wins
Keep any eye out for an extra spooky ghost and win a bonus prize for its safe return
Awards for Best Team Name and Best Team Costume also up for grabs

Your team size shall be either one, two, or three (ONLY the Team Leader needs to register!)

Any route may be taken to capture and return the ghosts to their resting place
Important Safety Notes:
There is no marked course for this race, runners are free to take whatever route they choose to and from the ghost locations. BE SAFE when crossing streets and when choosing the route less travelled. Look at the ghost locations beforehand and plan your routes and legs wisely!
