Come and run or walk our Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K races in peaceful Quilcene on the beautiful Olympic Peninsula!

The surroundings include woodlands, water, and mountains. All race proceeds benefit Quilcene-Brinnon Dollars for Scholars, which provides scholarships to high school seniors, recent graduates, and teachers to assist with their post-secondary/continuing education.

All Half Marathon, 10K and 5K events are USATF Certified and Sanctioned. Our Duo events are for participants paired with riders in jogging chairs/strollers (or for our easy 5K, even baby strollers and wagons!). All riders register for free!

The races begin and end at Worthington Park, site of the recently restored Victorian-era Worthington Mansion. Great scenery, awesome volunteers, and support for good causes make this a "can't-miss" event!

    Registration includes:

    • A commemorative Finisher Medal

    • One serving of local oysters after the race

    • One local craft beer after the race (21 and over)

    • Free open house at Worthington Mansion

    • Lots of fun!

Please join us for our 9th Annual Silverdale Rotary Turkey Trot!

For the fifth straight year we're going free-range with our wild Turkey Trot at Newberry Hill Heritage Park. All events are run in the woods -- away from streets, sidewalks, and cars. The park offers a scenic 2.7 mile loop fire road which offers a great course for our 1-Mile, 5K and 10K events.

ONLINE REGISTRATION IS CLOSED. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR OPTIONS FOR IN-PERSON REGISTRATION.

NOTE: There will not be day-of-race registration available.

    Changes in 2026:

    • We will NOT have race-day registration in 2026. We will, however, have last-minutes sign-ups in the week of the event. Please check back for details!

    • Medals will be presented to the top male and female finisher in each of th 1-Mile, 5K, and 10K events. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st - 5th place by event and age category for the 1-Mile, 5K, and 10K. As in the past a commemorative ribbon will be presented to all Kids-Dash participans.

    • In 2026 we are increasing the numbers of port-a-potties to alleviate the lines we had in 2024.

    • Since 2022, this has been a chip-timed event.

    • Since 2023, we have initiated a "Family Registration" (discount!) package. Please see below for instructions.

All proceeds from this event will benefit non-profit organizations and causes to fight hunger in our community.

    Additional Information

    • Parking is available on the property of Klahowya Secondary School. Please enter off of Newberry Hill and follow signs to the parking area. Staging, registration, and kids' dashes will occur on an access road to the Heritage Park. From the parking lot this access road will be clearly marked.

    • Race packets will be distributed at multiple events during the week preceding the race. Packets will also be available on race day.

    • The 1-mile, 5K, and 10K events will be run on a wide fire road consisting of compact dirt and rock. The 10K course makes a small detour onto a narrow side trail to supplement the distance needed. 10K racers will run the fire road loop twice. The course will be marked, and staffed for clarity. See link below for a course map.

    • Strollers are permitted on the course. For 10K participants there is a detour off the fire road onto a path to add the necessary distance for the race. Unlike the fire road this stretch will require your attention as it gets narrow in a couple of places. However, the restricted area is only over about 100 feet in total. And durable strollers will be fine through this area.

    • Well behaved, leashed dogs are permitted (and welcome!).

    • Total elevation gain/loss for the course is about 200 feet per lap for the 5K and 10K (2 laps).

    • Visit the following link to see the course layout: CLICK HERE FOR COURSE LAYOUTS

    • Each event will only be run once at the start time listed above. The estimated end time is not intended to suggest there will be a second running of the same event.

    • Please contact the race director, Ed Hamilton, with any questions or concerns. Email: [email protected], cell: 360-649-3004.
