Register now! This camp is limited to the first 50 registered participants.
The Cowlitz Valley Runners (CVR) are excited to host this day camp (June 24th to June 26th from 9:30 AM to Noon each day)
for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders. Campers will meet each day at the RA Long High School auxiliary gym and have running events at the high school and nearby Lake Sacajawea Park. The camp will introduce kids to aerobic conditioning, proper warmups, running games and activities, racing, team building, health and nutrition, goal setting, running shoes and clothing, and more. The focus will be on lots of movement and activities. The camp is free! Campers will get a t-shirt, water bottle, snacks, and a $5.00 discount to CVR's Go Fourth Mile race on July 4th (immediately before the Longview Go 4th Parade). There will be lots of prizes awarded during the camp too.
This event is free so that any eligible student can participate regardless of his/her family's financial status. There are, however, several expenses for CVR to make this a camp that kids will remember. So, please consider donating to the CVR. We also seek a "presenting" corporate sponsor(s) for the Youth Running Camp so we can continue to keep this event free to the kids in future years. Donations to the CVR support our student scholarship fund, our Youth Running Camp, and the many activities that we do to promote running and walking as a sport and fitness exercise. CVR is a 501(C)(3) charitable non-profit organization through our affiliation with the Road Runners Clubs of America.

Ovarian Cancer
About 21,010 women in the United States are expected to be diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2026 — that’s roughly one diagnosis every 25 minutes. In Oregon and Washington, the American
Cancer Society estimates 1,610 new diagnoses. These are our grandmothers, mothers, sisters, partners, colleagues, and friends.
Ovarian cancer remains the deadliest gynecologic cancer and the fifth leading cause of cancer-related death among women in the United States. Because symptoms are often subtle and easily dismissed, nearly three-quarters of cases are diagnosed after the cancer has spread beyond the ovaries. While the overall five-year survival rate is about 50 percent, survival drops significantly — to around 30 percent — when the disease is diagnosed at a distant stage.
Call to Action: Teal Ribbon Fun Walk
These statistics make one thing clear: awareness matters. That’s why OCAOSW is hosting the 4th Annual Teal Ribbon Fun Walk on June 27, 2026. There is currently no reliable screening test for ovarian cancer, which makes education about symptoms and risk factors critical. When ovarian cancer is detected at an earlier stage, survival rates improve significantly — and informed communities are better equipped to act.
This 1.5-mile walk at the Oregon Zoo brings together survivors, families, friends, and advocates in visible support of those impacted by ovarian cancer. It’s a chance to show up, stand together, and move the conversation forward.
Goals
Promote education and awareness about ovarian cancer
Unite our local ovarian cancer community, including survivors, friends, families, medical professionals, and advocates, for a common goal

Welcome to the Slurpee-Fueled Suffering
Ever looked at a 7-Eleven roller grill and thought, "I could run 100 miles on those taquitos"? No? Just us?
The 24/7Eleven is not your standard trail ultra.
There are no sweeping alpine vistas or pristine singletrack here. This is an urban scavenger hunt through the heart of Clark County. Your mission is simple but soul-crushing: Visit as many 7-Eleven locations in the county as possible within a 24-hour window.
The Rules of the Road
• The Clock: You have 24 hours. Start at Foot Traffic, finish at Foot Traffic, but the clock doesn't stop for brain freezes.
• The Proof: Every "Summit" (store visit) must be documented with a geo-tagged photo of you and the store frontage.
• The Fuel: This is the kicker. You are strictly prohibited from consuming any calories not purchased inside a 7-Eleven during the event. If it didn’t come off a roller, out of a fountain, or from a crinkly plastic bag, it’s a DNF.
• The Route: Total "Choose Your Own Adventure." Map it out, bridge the gaps, and try to avoid the Vancouver traffic.
Why Do This?
Because the Vantucky Trailrunners believe that "adventure" is a mindset. Whether we’re hitting the mud at Whipple Creek or hitting the pavement on Fourth Plain, we do it with heart, humor, and a questionable amount of processed sodium.
