Hosted at Pleasants Landing Marina on Lake Anna, this race and venue are amazing. The swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna, about 1/4 mile from where the “hot side” of Lake Anna empties into the cold side, resulting in water temperatures that are 4-6 degree’s warmer than the rest of the lake at this time of year. So, you can look forward to above average water temperatures in late April. The first open water race of the regular season starts at 9AM, so you can sleep in a little and make it a day at the lake with family and friends.
Views of Lake Anna and the Blue Ridge Mountains give this race a magical feel, it’s a great place to race and spend the weekend outside.

Join the Louisa County Sheriff’s Office (LCSO) for their Annual K9 5K Run/Walk! This event helps raise funds for many of our community programs and the LCSO K9 Unit. Spring Creek generously provides the venue. Whether you’re an experienced runner or just getting started, this rolling 5K course with a downhill finish is a great way to challenge yourself while supporting an amazing cause.

Dog-Friendly Event Guidelines
🐶 All well-behaved dogs are welcome!
🔗 Dogs must be leashed (max 6’ lead, no retractable leashes).
💧 A water station will be available.
💩 Owners must clean up after their dogs.
🚫 Dogs are not permitted in the clubhouse.
🩺 All dogs must be current on rabies vaccinations.
⚠️ Event organizers reserve the right to remove aggressive or ill dogs. Owners assume full responsibility for their pets.

In celebration of World Wildlife Day, Heart of Piedmont wildlife is hosting a Wild Run 5k. Come dressed as your favorite animal, frolic around the fields and trails of Southern Revere Cellar's beautiful farm.
Every participant gets a t-shirt.

Race benefits Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue. Hooves & Paws Animal Rescue is a nonprofit animal rescue that provides rescue and sanctuary for abused and abandoned animals. After they are rescued, our animals receive all the love and care they need and when they are ready, they are placed in loving adoptive homes. Animals who are not able to be adopted are provided lifelong care at our sanctuary. We have been saving animals since 2002 but recently relocated from Southern California to Louisa, Virginia. Our rescued dogs, cats, horses and farm animals are loving their beautiful new sanctuary in Virginia. As we continue to build new fencing and shelters, we hope to help many more animals who need a second chance.

The time trial swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna, about 1/4 mile from where the “hot side” of Lake Anna empties into the cold side, resulting in water temperatures that are 4-6 degree’s warmer than the rest of the lake at this time of year. So, you can look forward to above average water temperatures in mid-October. The last open water race of the regular season Olympic starts at 9AM and the Sprint starts at 9:30AM, so you can sleep in a little and make it a day at the lake with family and friends. The race site and finish line are surrounded by water and have a view of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the West; it’s a great place to spend the weekend outside.
