Join us for the Sole Circle Run For Paws 5k and 10k — a scenic run that celebrates community, courage, and commitment. Lace up your shoes and race in the beautiful Gravelly Point Park in Arlington, VA, a famous park spot on the Potomac River, known for exhilarating, up-close plane spotting as jets take off/land at Reagan Airport, offering scenic views of D.C. & the Pentagon. Whether you're running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, you're making a difference by saving a furry life and supporting the Humane Society of Chares County.

Packet Pickup: Packet pickup is available at the event. We recommend arriving one hour before the race start to check in and receive your race bib.

Awards: We will award the top three men and women finalist during our post race award ceremony.

Photos: Race photos will be available the next day

Water Station: There will be 3 water stations will be along the route.

No matter the weather, the race will proceed as scheduled. All registrations are final and non-refundable.

This is a family friendly race – strollers are permitted, however is encouraged that you begin at the rear of the pack.

The Global Strides 5K is a five kilometer (3.1 mile) race held on a USTF certified course on Arlington County parkland. The course is a mostly flat, out-and-back route held on the W&OD and Four Mile Run trails. The race will start at 9:00 AM near the south parking area in Bluemont Park, Arlington on Sunday, April 26th, 2026.

A shorter, children’s race will also be held for participants age 10 and under. Chip timing will be provided for participants in the 5K event only.

The Officer Down Memorial Page is hosting our 20th Annual National Police Week 5K on May 9, 2026. Day-of registration, check-in, packet pickup, and other pre-race day activities begin at 7:00 am. The starting gun for the 5K is at 9:00 am sharp. Register today to be guaranteed a spot!

The race will be held in-person in Crystal City, Arlington, VA - Army Navy Dr. and South Eads Street, and virtually around the world.

When you participate in the National Police Week 5K in your gear you will raise awareness for PAA, be eligible to purchase a limited edition ODMP PAA patch and show officers that they can and should wear their vests at all times while on the job. Continue to wear your vest with your patch to other events, challenge others, and help spread the word!

The Run for Big Things 5K is a community run/walk supporting Big Things Boxing Academy, a volunteer-powered nonprofit providing free after-school fitness classes and mentorship to youth in Falls Church, Virginia.

In just six years, Big Things Boxing has impacted more than 200 local youth — building not just strong athletes, but confident, resilient young leaders. The program runs entirely on volunteers and donations, and the funds raised from this 5K will help with equipment, competitions, and year-round mentorship that keeps our kids moving forward.

Running is already part of our athletes’ daily routine — now it’s your turn to lace up and join them. Every mile, every cheer, every step helps us continue doing big things for our kids and creating opportunities that last far beyond the finish line.
