The 47th Annual Lone Star Stampede
Start your 2026 with purpose, pride, and the power of community. The 47th annual Lone Star Stampede is a Houston tradition that unites runners, walkers, University of Texas alumni, and supporters for a day of fitness, fun, and giving back.
Hosted by the Texas Exes Houston Chapter, this annual event features a 10K, 5K, and Kids 1K Fun Run, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels.
More than just a race, the Lone Star Stampede is about making an impact—proceeds fund scholarships for Houston area students pursuing their dreams of higher education at The University of Texas at Austin. As a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Texas Exes Houston Chapter is committed to fostering the next generation of Longhorn leaders while strengthening the bonds of our Houston community.

Inclement Weather Policy
The event will be held rain or shine. If weather conditions are unsafe, the event will be canceled and all fees will be donated to the Texas Exes Houston Chapter Scholarship Fund. No refunds or transfers.
