The 9th Annual McKinney Shamrock Run 5K Presented by HOTWORX is back on Saturday, March 14th, 2026!
🍀Join us at Towne Lake Park as we kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend with a sea of GREEN and a morning full of FUN! Dash to the finish line to claim your lucky finisher’s medal and enjoy a complimentary ice-cold green beer from Tupps Brewery! Festivities begin at 8:00 AM, and the race kicks off at 9:00 AM!

Please note that this is an untimed event due to venue constrictions. Race start time is subject to change and will be approximately 2.5 hours prior to the baseball game start time. The 9/11 Heroes Run 5K welcomes runners, ruckers, and walkers of all ages and fitness levels to honor the heroes of 9/11 and those who've served our nations since. We activate & unite communities and empower local veterans, active duty, first responders, and families of the fallen.
TMF is proud to partner with GORUCK again with rucking divisions at every run. Rucking is a sport based on special forces training in which participants walk or run while carrying weighted rucksacks. The second annual Run for Hope! Walk in Unity is an interfaith event uniting 10+ faith communities, local leaders, and nonprofit partners to fund food, health, education, and rental assistance for our most vulnerable neighbors through the Collin County NeighborHub at McKinney.
Run for Hope! Walk in Unity provides a 5K race, 1 mile walk, live band, food trucks, balloon making, cotton candy, photo booth, games, and more. Whether you are a jack rabbit or a tortoise, all fitness levels are welcome!

The Run
5K and 1M Fun Run on a Wilson Creek Trail, 2 water stop will be provided on the 5K course.

Breakfast Pass - All American breakfast + beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age (must be 21 bring I.D.)
NYDR t-shirt (they are awesome but runners who wait until the last minute to register may not receive the size they want or may not receive a t-shirt at all. T-shirts must be order ahead of time, and we cannot guess accurately who will register after we place the order and what size they might wish to receive)

Course Notes
The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. To enjoy all that participating in a race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, race management encourages a headphone-free environment during the event.
Safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.
Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K and 10K course. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.
Pets are welcome in the 1M fun event.
The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.
Race Day Management reserves the right to change any event course at any time due to safety, weather conditions, or other production concerns.
