🏃♀️ Why Run the Thin Mint Sprint?
The Thin Mint Sprint is more than just a race. It is a fun, community-centered event that directly supports Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee, the leading organization for girls in Middle Tennessee.
Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee serves over 14,000 girls and volunteers across 39 counties, empowering them through programs that build leadership skills, encourage community engagement, and support personal development. The mission of Girl Scouts of Middle Tennessee is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place, and every step you take helps bring that mission to life.
Community support plays a key role in making events like the Thin Mint Sprint possible. A limited number of sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses or organizations interested in supporting girls in Middle Tennessee while being part of this fun, mission-driven event. Those interested can contact Scout Hardin at [email protected] to learn more.
Because this is a non-timed event, the Thin Mint Sprint is perfect for all ages and fitness levels. Whether you are a seasoned runner, a casual jogger, or walking with friends or family, everyone is welcome. Plus, where else can you run for Thin Mints?

What Is OUTLAST?
OUTLAST is a 6-hour trail endurance challenge where runners complete a 5K every hour, on the hour. Each lap must be finished within the hour to stay in the event. If you finish early, you rest until the next round. Miss a lap, and you’re out.
Complete all six rounds, and you OUTLAST.
This isn't just about speed — it's about pacing, discipline, and mental grit. Whether you're trying to survive all six or win your division, the challenge is the same: show up each hour, push your limits, and stay in it.
Each course is trail-based, with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable conditions. You’ll have time between rounds to recover, refuel, and refocus — but not much.
What You Earn:
4 laps = “Grit Earned” patch
5 laps = “Survivor” patch
6 laps = Premium “OUTLAST” medal
All participants receive a premium OUTLAST Tee.
Top male and female with the fastest combined 5K times at each event win the 1st Place OUTLAST award.
Finishers are ranked on the national leaderboard—and the fastest runner across all OUTLAST 6-hour events will be crowned National Champion and take home $1,000.
The 1st Place Male and Female 6-hour champions from each city will earn a spot in the Outlast Championship, where they’ll compete against the best of the best at the end of the Tour, and the 1st place male and female winners take home $1000 each. (This is separate from the national leaderboard prize money.)
By the end of the tour, the top 100 best times nationally will be invited to also compete in the Outlast Championship.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do I have to run all 6 laps?
Nope. Run as many as you can. If you complete 4 or 5, you'll still earn a patch. Only those who finish all 6 get the OUTLAST medal and leaderboard ranking.
What happens if I don’t finish a lap in time?
You're out. The next lap starts at the top of the next hour, and only those who completed the last lap on time can continue.
How is the race timed?
Each 5K is timed individually. If you complete all 6, your combined time counts toward the local win and national leaderboard.
Are these trail races or road?
Every OUTLAST race is on trail terrain — dirt, rocks, roots, and elevation. Sometimes some pavement and gravel.
Can I walk?
Yes, as long as you finish the 5K within the hour. But some courses are rugged, and time can sneak up on you.
Are there aid stations?
Yes. There will be water, basic hydration, and snacks at the basecamp/loop start. This is a cupless event — bring your own bottle or hydration system.
What should I bring?
Trail shoes, hydration system, layers (weather dependent), fuel between laps, and grit.
Can I setup a tent?
Absolutely, bring your own aid station/tent setup.
Is OUTLAST for beginners?
Yes — if you're mentally tough. You don’t need to be fast, just consistent and ready to suffer a little.
How do I win?
If you finish all 6 laps and have the fastest combined time, you win your division (male/female). Winners are also added to the national leaderboard for a shot at the $1,000 national prize & title.

Come and join us for our 5th Annual Whisker Walk/Run 5K/10K 2026 at Shelby Park Riverview Pavilion (1964 Davidson Street) in Nashville on March 28th, 2026! All proceeds benefit True Rescue and the over 400 cats and kittens we have currently under our care. We have a 7,000 sq foot, cage-free facility, with 15 different rooms to accommodate every age, size and personality. We take in cats and kittens that would otherwise not survive their circumstances, and we do our best to take in all difficult medical cases that are presented to us from cats that have been neglected, abused or homeless.
This event is to raise awareness towards the growing needs of the cats and kittens in our county and all surrounding counties, and to help fund our medical clinic to purchase supplies and equipment. We must, as a community, do more for these creatures, and we must provide more resources to help. True Rescue is growing fast, and we can't do it without fundraisers such as these, bringing community and cat lovers together in unity for this great cause.
We are proud to announce that our emcee for the event is our favorite news reporter, Nick Beres, with News Channel 5. We will have music, food trucks, a delicious bake sale, vendor booths, and more! After the event, come join us at our shelter to take a tour, meet our staff, visit with our in-house kitties, and possibly adopt! We would love to encourage everybody that walks to bring out your crazy cat lady/guy side! We will be giving a prize for the most outrageous, cat-inspired outfit! If you love cats, you don't want to miss out! Oh, and we love our dogs too, so dogs are allowed to run with you during the race, as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.
With registration, you will receive your very own Whisker Walk T-shirt and a cat ear headband! Please note, the registration deadline to guarantee your size in a t-shirt is by midnight on March 22nd, 2026. You will be able to select a size during the registration process. Once a certain size has run out (after March 22nd), you will no longer be able to select that size. Once all t-shirts have run out, you will only be able to select "No T-shirt". Let's get this crazy cat walk started!
Registration closes at 7am on the morning of the race.

Join us for the Salute to Service 5K on Vanderbilt University’s Campus.
Most 5Ks are about time.
This one’s about memory.
When you register, you’ll receive a bib bearing the name of a fallen hero. You don’t just wear it—you carry it forward, mile by mile, name by name. You become part of something bigger than yourself.
This is not a charity run.
This is a living memorial—one that honors sacrifice, unites generations, and turns gratitude into action.

ABOUT OUR KIDS
What if I told you 1 in 4 girls and 1 in 7 boys will experience child sexual abuse by age 18? The Our Kids mission is to provide expert medical evaluations and crisis counseling services in response to concerns of child sexual abuse, and to increase community awareness, conduct research and offer education and training about child maltreatment.
Most children are sexually abused by someone they know and trust. 50 percent of more than 900 children examined by Our Kids are seven years of age and younger. If you know a child in need, Our Kids can help. For more information visit: http://ourkidscenter.com/ “

This is the TENTH year of the revived Franklin FUMC Run for Missions. If you've been around Franklin for decades, you may remember our church's run back in the 1990s. Since then, our church has moved our main campus to Mack Hatcher and Franklin Road with enough land for an entire 5K race on the church property.
Come ready for a fun afternoon of running or walking around our more than 100 acres, music by the Grateful Bluegrass Band, and homemade baked goods for prizes!
The missions committee at FUMC helps determine where the proceeds of the race will go according to current needs each year. I'll update the website as soon as we make the choice for this year! Previous year projects have included wonderful organizations like The Giving Garden, ACD Guatemala, Meals On Wheels, Daughters of the King, and Room in the Inn.

SASS STRUT stands for Seriously Awesome Stroke Survivors Strutting To Recover Uplift & Thrive. THE SASS STRUT IS AN ANNUAL 5K FUN-RUN EVENT TO INCREASE AWARENESS ABOUT STROKE AND RAISE MONEY TO FUND STROKE REHAB IN MIDDLE TENNESSEE.
In 2016 Neuro Therapy Nashville started Seriously Awesome Stroke Survivors (SASS) as a dynamic support group for stroke survivors, their family, friends, caregivers, and others in the stroke community.
We are excited to announce that this year the 5K will support the Brain Injury and Stroke Charity of Tennessee (BISCT, pronounced biscuit), a newly formed local non-profit that provides funding to stroke and brain injury survivors who cannot afford treatment, as well as providing caregiver respite programs. With your support, we can reach those with immediate need right here in Nashville.
THIS WALK, RUN, OR ROLL EVENT IS OPEN TO PARTICIPANTS OF ALL ABILITIES AND STROKE SURVIVORS IN VARIOUS STAGES OF RECOVERY.
SASS STRUT 5K features a scenic wooded paved trail that starts at the dock on Couchville Lake in Long Hunter State Park, follows the Couchville Lake Trail around the lake, wrapping back through the starting point for a short out and back to hit the full 5K and finish the race.
SURVIVOR STRUT
There is a shorter loop available called the Survivor Strut. The Survivor Strut starts at the same starting line as the full 5K and marks every 100 feet for 1000 feet so Survivors of limited mobility can map their progress along the Strut. Completing the full Survivor Strut will be a total of 2000 feet. Survivors are also welcome and encouraged to walk/run/roll the full 5K if they are able.
Whether you finish the 5K or The Survivor Strut or walk 100 yards, we look forward to celebrating with you and the rest of the stroke community at SASS STRUT 5K!
