    The 9th Annual Nashville, TN Run for Resilience Ostomy 5k will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2026 in celebration of World Ostomy Day. All proceeds benefit the United Ostomy Associations of America, Inc (UOAA) charity, a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. (https://www.ostomy.org/)

    RACE DAY SCHEDULE - Subject to Change

    • 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM - Volunteer Check-in & Vendor/Sponsor Set-up

    • 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM - Race Day Registration & Packet Pick-up

    • 11:00 AM - Run/Walk Start

    • 12:00 Noon (or until the final finisher crosses the finish line - Awards Ceremony

    The Registration Fee includes a unisex adult or youth size T-Shirt, Bib with timing chip, and runner "swag" bag. So don't delay, register today to guarantee availability in your t-shirt size!

    RACE COURSE

    This 5k Timed Run and 1 mile Children's Fun Run will be held at Shelby Bottoms located at Shelby Avenue & S. 20th Avenue, Nashville, Tennessee. With over 336 acres of land, Shelby Bottoms is a large urban park located approximately three miles east of downtown Nashville along the Cumberland River. The park includes playgrounds, a dog park, baseball fields, two golf courses, and a community center.

    The route map will be included in your registration packets. This course is timed, so Go For It! Professional race day timing services are provided by Bald Eagle Multi Sport events. There will be awards and medals following the run.

    PARKING

    There is ample free parking for up to 1,000 cars and free admission to Shelby Park and Shelby Park Community Center.

    PRIZES

    Prizes will be awarded to the top Male and top Female Overall Finishers, top M/F in each age group, as well as to the top Male and Female Ostomates. his could change for each event as well.

    OPTIONAL OSTOMY POUCH

    Race registration bags will have typical race/sponsor promotional items, ostomy education materials, and most importantly an ostomy pouch provided by one or more of our sponsors. We encourage non-ostomate participants to put on a pouch for the race to improve awareness and empathy for the challenges faced by people living with ostomies.

    CREATE OR JOIN A RACE GROUP/TEAM!

    Once you’ve registered you have the option to CREATE a new RACE GROUP/TEAM or to JOIN one that’s already been established. This is a great way to get others in your community to Register to Participate in the Run and compete against each other. Invite family, friends, co-workers to Register, pick to be on your Race Group/Team (or start their own), order their T-Shirt & Bib and celebrate the day with you! (Please note this is NOT a Team Fundraiser. To set up a Personal or Team Fundraiser, please go to the DONATE button.)

    FUNDRAISING - Raise $150 or more and your Registration Fee will be refunded!

    Fundraising is an important aspect of our Run for Resilience Ostomy 5K. Funds raised help UOAA continue to provide resources, educational materials, advocacy and support to the ostomy and continent diversion community.

    We invite you to set up your own Personal or Team Fundraiser when registering to participate in the event, or through our DONATE button at the top of this page. You can create a unique Fundraiser Name and URL address, personalize your fundraising message, and direct your friends and family to your page to join your team or sponsor you in your fundraising goal.

    Kick off Tomato Fest weekend the right way! 🍅 Join us for the 18th Annual East Nashville Tomato 5K at East Park. A certified, chip-timed road race that brings the community together for fitness, fun, and a whole lot of tomato spirit.

    The 5K starts at 7:30 AM, with the Kids Fun Run beginning at 7:00 AM. Runners and walkers of all paces are welcome, and the course is stroller- and pet-friendly, so bring the whole crew!

    This race has become the traditional kickoff to Tomato Fest festivities, making it one of the most spirited mornings of the summer.

    1-in-5 kids are impacted by Dyslexia.

    Go the extra mile to help our children read on Saturday September 26th at the 4th annual Music City Run for Dyslexia. Every step counts in the 5K run/walk and 10K course along the Cumberland River and through Shelby Bottoms, one of Nashville’s most beautiful greenways. In addition, a 1-Mile Dyslexia Dash will be offered for all ages and ability. The event is hosted by Learning Matters, a non-profit organization established in 2006, that exists to help K-12 students with Dyslexia and other learning disabilities reach their academic and human potential by providing equitable access to the highest quality assessment, tutoring, and advocacy. Net proceeds of the Music City Run for Dyslexia help provide free interventional tutoring for students with Dyslexia.

    Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage Presents: The 5th Annual 7th President 7K

    Join us for the 5th Annual 7th President 7K, hosted on the historic grounds of Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage — a one-of-a-kind course where the nation’s 7th president once lived. This unique 7K run will take participants across paved paths, open fields, and scenic landscapes, including:

    • Tulip Grove Mansion – once home to Rachel Jackson’s nephew

    • Hermitage Church – built in 1824 for the surrounding community

    • The Hermitage Mansion – the stunning finish line and crown jewel of the property

    For those looking for a more relaxed pace, a 2-mile walking course will also be available — perfect for taking in the natural beauty and history of this National Historic Landmark.

    Course Type: Cross-country — expect beautiful fields, grass, a small portion of trail and paved road.

    Participant Guidelines

    Strollers are not recommended, as the course includes unpaved areas. If bringing one, please start at the back of the group.

    No dogs allowed on the course during the race for safety reasons.

    However, leashed dogs are welcome when using your included Grounds Pass after the event. Please clean up after your pet.
