    605 Run Crew Track Program

A 6-Week Training Experience Designed for Every Runner

The 605 Run Crew Track Program is a structured, supportive, and community-focused 6-week training series designed to help runners build confidence, improve speed, learn proper technique, and deepen their enjoyment of the sport. Whether you're new to the track or looking to sharpen your workouts, this program provides the coaching, education, and connection to take your running to the next level.

This program is built by the 605 Coaching Team through our Coaching Pillar initiative—emphasizing individualized coaching, group development, purposeful workouts, and ongoing education.

We are thrilled to welcome Dynamic Life Physical Therapy to our weekly programming. Each week we will have Trevor Bartlett PT, DPT on site to answer questions and support the program.

    Program Overview

    Duration: 6 weeks

    Dates: April 7th - May 12th

Location: Harrisburg East (final schedule pending facility coordination)

Day & Time: Tuesday evenings at 6:05pm

Each session follows a structured, runner-friendly format balancing training, instruction, and connection:

    • Welcome & check-in

    • Community-building warm-up

    • Dynamic drills & running form instruction

    • Track-based workout designed for all ability levels

    • Cooldown, reflection, and optional coach-led motivation talk

    • Our program blends systemized coaching with a fun, approachable environment. We meet you where you are—no pace is too slow, and no experience is required.

    What to Expect Each Week

The program progresses in a thoughtful, intentional arc to build confidence and capability:

Week 1: Introduction & Comfort Building

A structured, formulaic first session to help ease nerves, learn track basics, and get to know the group. Includes icebreakers, simple drills, and time-based running to ensure everyone starts together.

    Week 2: Adaptation

Focusing on getting comfortable with consistent, repeatable track sessions. Continued emphasis on technique and pacing without pressure.

Week 3: Key Running Terms & Concepts

Understanding language used in training (effort levels, intervals, recovery) and applying them in a practical workout.

Week 4: Track vs. Road Running

How these environments differ and how to use the track effectively. Includes controlled speed and form work.

    Week 5: Speed Development

Time-based tempo work, fartlek-style sessions, and optional relays to build camaraderie and confidence. No excessively long track reps (no 1200s or beyond) to ensure accessibility for all.

    Week 6: Long-Term Application

Using what you've learned to build lasting habits. This session ties everything together and prepares runners to take their new skills into summer racing, group runs, or personal training plans.

    Program Philosophy

The 605 Run Crew Track Program is more than workouts—it’s a community. Our coaches bring experience from competitive running, youth coaching, and adult group training, all with a goal of:

    • Creating meaningful improvement through consistent coaching

    • Encouraging personal growth on and off the track

    • Each session includes optional motivational elements led by the coaching team, inspired by experiences in athletic camps and group training environments.

***Each night will also include participation from one of our major brands:

    Track Program Brand Nights

    Apr 7: Hoka

    Apr 14: Diadora

    Apr 21: Altra

    Apr 28: New Balance

    May 5: ASICS

Each night: demo shoes, swag, raffle prizes, and post-workout snacks/beverages.
