Start your Fourth of July with us for the 4th Annual Red, White, and Run 5K. This certified, multi-terrain course will take runners and walkers of all ages throughout the north complex of Hanson Park and is the third race of the Run Your PRCS Parks timed series.

Celebrate the holiday with a FREE 5k race at Riverside Park. (off of Monocacy Blvd). This is a low-key, low-amenity event.
Race Start time is 8:30AM.

Our low-key races are free for Steeplechaser members, so YAY!
You must be a club member on race day in order to get free race entry.

Race Day Registration
You may sign up on race day, but you'll need to do it online on your own device. We will not have paper forms or registration kiosks.
Competition
The Independence 5000 will count towards the FSRC Grand Prix.
Low-budget awards are given to the following divisions:
Top male/female/non binary (clock time)
Age Group male/female (net time): 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+
Logistics
Park in the lot at Riverside and pick up your bib.
The race will be chip timed, but still please make sure that you stay in order as you cross the finish line where volunteers will scan your bib -- we do this as a backup to resolve any missed chip reads.
The course is an out and back on the paved trail through the park. There will be two water stops.
Please bring a food item to share after the race.
This is a Memorial event for our Friend Greg Shank who was a constant source of hope and inspiration in our community.

10K – A longer challenge for those ready to push the pace.
Both courses wind around the beautiful paths of Lake Elkhorn, offering smooth pavement, water views, and a safe, spectator-friendly atmosphere. It’s flat, scenic, and ideal for runners and walkers of all ages and levels.

AGE REQUIREMENT
Runners must be at least 10 years old to participate in the 10K.
Runners must be at least 7 years old to participate in the 5K.
Pets, baby joggers/strollers, in-line skates, bicycles, and any other non-official
wheeled vehicles are prohibited.
Join us for a 1-mile fun run/walk to kick off Watsontown's 4th of July celebrations. The race starts at E 11th Street (near old Warrior Run Elementary) at 9am. You'll head down Main Street to the Watsontown Park entrance. After the race, stay for the parade and events in the park.
The race is open to all ages and abilities, with a 30-minute limit to complete the mile. Families are welcome! The race is untimed, and medals will be awarded to the first three finishers. Water and snacks will be available at the finish line.
Registration costs $15 for adults (17+), $10 for kids (ages 6-16), and is free for kids five and under (no race shirt for kids five and under). All proceeds support the Watsontown 4th of July celebration fund.
The historic Town of Bath (Berkeley Springs), WV 250 years birthday celebration 5K Race will be on Saturday, July 4, 2026, starting at 9:00am. The race will begin at the north end of town at the Train Depot. The course will wind its way through the town, including through Berkeley Springs State Park--America's First Spa. Runners will finish the 3.10 mile journey at the same Train Depot.
All proceeds benefit the Williamsport Area Swim Club (WASC). WASC is a year round swim team that provides instruction, training and competition to people of all ages and abilities. The WASC participates in national events sanctioned by USA Swimming, the National Governing Body for the sport of swimming in the US.
T-Shirts: T-Shirts will be available for online registrations up until 6/23.
Course: Flat, fast course on the bike path and Heshbon Road. Kid and stroller friendly!
Awards: Runners - Top 3 overall male and female. Top 3 male and female finishers in each age group. Walkers - Top 3 overall male and female.
