Don't waste the energy going 2,252 miles to Oregon when you can get a taste of it right in Cleveland. This 13km (8.2 mile) race is dubbed 'Little Oregon' for the single track section that features rows of pine trees we naively but endearingly compare to the Northwest. Join us for the full race or sign up for the 5K option.

The Starting Line is just south of South Mastick Picnic Area. Parking is available at South Mastick Picnic Area and a short walk to the starting line.

The Opening Day 4 miler is a baseball-themed race starting in historic Tremont, produced by Run The Land to celebrate Cleveland baseball’s home Opening Day while benefiting the community work of Tremont West. With the spirit and excitement of Opening Day, runners will take to the Towpath Trail, run the bases at Clark Field, and cross the finish line at a festive post-race celebration hosted by Mosaic Brewing. Get your race in before the kick off to baseball season!

Spectators are welcome at no costs to attend the event and patronize the brewery!

Join us on Sunday, April 12, 2026 for the Towpath Half featuring a half marathon & 5 miler on the Towpath Trail in the Ohio & Erie Canal Reservation in Cleveland.

April is a great time to stay active, challenge yourself, and reconnect with the running community and our local trail system.

This is the first race in the 2026 Towpath Trilogy race series, our annual three-race series on different sections of the Towpath Trail in Cleveland that starts in April and ends in October.

Virtual races are also available for those who can’t join us on the day of the race.

The Towpath Half and all Towpath Trilogy races benefit Canalway. Your participation directly supports the programming of the Towpath Trail, the development of Canal Basin Park, and dozens of other projects within the Ohio & Erie Canalway National Heritage Area, projects that make our community stronger and more vibrant.

Ready to participate? Here’s how:
- Join us in-person for the 5K or 1-Mile Walk on June 20th. Participation includes a T-shirt and free entry to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo for the day. Does your whole family want to participate? Select the 1-Mile Walk and choose multi-person pricing for a discount on registration for the whole family.
- Participate from home, or your favorite trail, by registering for the virtual 5K or 1-Mile. Complete your distance wherever you’d like between June 16-21 and enter your time online. You will receive your Race for Kids T-shirt in the mail prior to the event week.

Fundraise on behalf of the Clubs! Whether you are participating in-person, virtually, or not able to attend at all, you are able to make a big difference for our kids. Join us for the sixth annual Pete Leneghan Entrepreneurship Foundation Run/Walk, which was created in memory of local entrepreneur, Pete Leneghan. Pete was a modern-day pioneer in the Tremont and Detroit Shoreway neighborhoods when he opened the Treehouse in 1996 and Stone Mad Pub in 2008.

Pete's memory and love for the community are being celebrated during this 5k and 1-mile fun run/walk on Saturday September 19,
