Welcome Triathletes! It's time to put the final touches on your training before tapering begins, so register to join us for the 4th Annual Musselman Preview Ride (Sat Jun 20th @ 8:00am) benefitting
the Geneva Food Pantry.
This event is organized by the Rochester Area Triathletes (RATs) with support from Truepath Racing, Geneva Bike, Lake Drum Brewing Company, Red Jacket Orchards.
Musselman Preview Ride: On Saturday June 14th at 8:00am we will ride within your chosen pace groups through the picturesque but challenging 56-mile course straddling the beautiful Finger Lakes of Seneca and Cayuga. Afterwards, we'll get together for a cookout social at the waterfront pavilion in Seneca Lake State Park.
7:00AM-7:45AM - Athlete Check-In
8:00AM-8:10AM - Staggered pace group begins
12:00PM-2:00PM - Post-Ride Cookout
Ride will leave from Seneca Lake State Park: Lakeside Seawall Party Tent# (look for RATs Tent)
For the 56-mile course, choose your pace group from 5 levels (13-14mph, 15-16mph, 16-17mph, 18-19mph, 20+mph)
All lead/sweep cyclists are race veterans and highly skilled cyclists with years of experience riding the area.
SAG wagon support provided TruePath Racing and Towpath Bike will follow the 56-mile course
Cookout afterwards under the covered lakefront pavilion - Seawall Pavilion (on the footpath if you want to leave your car at the parking lot to avoid park entrance fees). BOYB if you want to enjoy an adult beverage. Map can be found here
Volunteers are also needed for pre-ride check-in and the BBQ.
Cancellation/Delays

In the event of severe weather (e.g. thunder/lightning), the ride may be delayed or cancelled.
The cookout will still proceed regardless of weather.
Please be prepared for the weather conditions
It's a group training ride, not a tight peloton or a race. Much of the course follows newly repaved roads straddling the beautiful Finger Lakes of Seneca and Cayuga in a rural setting. There is plenty of room to ride over the 56 miles bike course, so please give each other room to ride safely.
Show respect for your fellow triathletes is expected at all times.
Obey all rules of the road as you normally would, proper cycling communication/etiquette is expected (car back, clear left/right, on your left, etc...)
Any open-water swimming or running pre/post ride will done be at your own risk
Proceeds generated from these even will be donated to the Geneva Center of Concern Food Pantry on behalf of the Rochester Area Triathletes (RATs). RATs is a tax-exempt 501c3 non-profit organization (EX-257178) supporting triathletes of all levels and diverse backgrounds within our community. A separate page has also been setup for direct donations to the Geneva Center of Concern Food Pantry and in 2025, we donated over $1,500.....and we'd like to beat.

Join us on June 20th, 2026 and celebrate the 34th Anniversary of the Rhulen Rock Hill Run & Ramble (R4). This 5k is an iconic local race and one of the longest standing in the Hudson Valley.
We moved
down the hill to Holiday Mountain Ski Area in 2023, where we have a new USTAF Certified 5K Course. It is scenic and fast!
The 5K is hosted by The Trevor Loughlin Foundation, which is inspired to make a difference in the lives of patients battling acute, catastrophic illnesses and all blood cancers. The battle to cure leukemia became a personal one for Race Director Suzy Loughlin and her family, when in 1998, her father, Walter Rhulen, died of leukemia. Walter, a dedicated runner, was committed to the health of his community.
In 2013, another tragedy resulted in the death of Suzy’s son Trevor, 21. The Trevor Loughlin Foundation is fueled by the force of a parent who wants her child to be remembered, along with the patients we have lost. Thanks to the generosity of many friends, family, volunteers, sponsors and donors who support Suzy and the TLF mission, grants are awarded to patients to provide financial help for living/medical expenses at a time when they need to focus on getting well.
Thank you for signing up for the R4 and being part of our TLF family. Thank you for choosing to matter.

The course is self-timed and open to all ages and ability levels. Walk with the kids, jog with a friend, or run your own pace — however you move, you're doing it right.
We believe Tap Root Fields is one of the area's best-kept secrets. The trails, the scenery, the wide-open space — it's a local gem, and this event is your invitation to come see it for yourself.

Join us on June 20, 2026, at Confederation Park for The FAB 5K Run/Walk and 1K Dash.
About The FAB 5K
The FAB 5K is always our favourite day of the year! It’s the day we host a 5K event
that brings together community members and FAB participants to take on a 5K run or walk. Whether you are a first time 5Ker or aiming to cross the finish line with an Olympic qualifying time, this event is guaranteed to inspire you to dream big and live big.
The 5K starts and ends at the Edgewater Pavilion in Confederation Park and the course runs along the beautiful Hamilton Beach Strip. The energy is electric, the race food is yummy, the volunteers are next level, the FAB participants are so inspiring, and the course is fast and flat. Did we mention the energy is electric?
The event is also a key fundraiser to help us raise the much-needed funds that allow us to continue to offer our free and empowering FAB 5K Challenge program.
About our FAB Program
Every spring, FAB offers a free and empowering program to over 165 youth girls in Hamilton’s priority neighbourhoods. The program challenges participants to train for and finish a 5K run. Participants meet weekly with volunteer coaches for training, fun, and skill-building. They finish feeling proud, confident, and equipped with a goal-setting framework they can use for any future endeavour. The program culminates with FAB participants completing The FAB 5K. That’s right! 165 youth girls from Hamilton will be taking on this 5K as well. It’s absolutely inspiring!
Here are ways in which you can support
The FAB 5K is a key fundraiser for the FAB Foundation and we cannot do what we do without the volunteer and financial support of our community. Here’s how you can help us continue to make a big difference in the lives of youth girls and our community.

#2. Start up a personal fundraising page and ask your circle to give. If you raise $200 or more, we will reimburse you your entry fee. If you raise $500 or more, you’ll be entered into a draw for a grand prize!
#3. Make a donation. If you are coming to cheer everybody on, thank you so much for your support! Donations can be made by clicking the “donate now” button on this page. You can make a general donation to FAB or direct your donation to towards a runners personal fundraising page.
#4. Create a team when you register and invite others to join. Together you can set a team fundraising goal! All teams who raise $1,000 will also be entered into the grand prize draw.
What your participation will support
All money raised from this event will help us continue to offer our program to approximately 165 youth girls in Hamilton annually at no cost to them. The 14th annual Mudslide is a mudrun that's FUN. Yes, you'll get muddy, yes there is running, yes there are 15 obstacles but NO fire, NO barbed wire, and NO electric shocks! The 4.2 mile and 6.0 mile
courses both start at the top of Morning Star with access from the Yodeler lift and run along the ridgeline to Spruce Lake and then back around the mountain to Eagle where the short course and long course split. The short course heads down the hill, where the long course adds a bit of uphill running just in case you're feeling especially tough.
Kids course is for kids 10 & under, kids under 10 may run the short course but must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
If you’re feeling fast and think you could place in the top 10, please start early in your wave, but all runners will be timed and awarded a finisher’s medal.
If you are in the long course and miss the start window you will have to switch to the short course.

The post-race Father's Day Waterfront Festival turns race day into a full community celebration — live music you can dance to, a jumping castle the kids won't want to leave, craft beer by the lake, local food, and the kind of afternoon that becomes a memory you talk about for years. Come for the run. Stay for the day.

Obatron Productions' exercise arm, Obatron Fitness, is proud to offer the fourth year of our race series, West of the River Series! Enter the whole series or choose individual races. Walker and
mobility-impaired friendly. Diet sensitive. Training available.
Keep scrolling for an overview of options and more information! If you're on a phone, that might take a bit. When you're ready to register, click the grouping for what you want: Individual Races or the Series (series registration ends when June Jaunt registration ends). Otherwise, click the "Race Info" tab to see all options at once.
2026 Updates and Information
We have youth pricing for those aged 19 and under.
Barbecue Bash Quarters Marathon Distance has replaced June Jaunt as a Rochester Runner of the Year race.
Barbecue Bash Quarters is certified! This means those who are looking for an autumn race to attempt a Boston Marathon qualifying time can use their 2026 time for their 2028 BM application.
Anyone who is an Obatron Racing Team prior to registration and on race day gets a discount off each individual race, the series, or the races (individually or as a series) with training.
Each race will have very modest awards, which must be claimed BEFORE leaving. None will be held. They will be ready no earlier than 45 minutes after the start of each race and will be later for longer races. Watch event messages for details closer to each race. See "Awards" below for more information.
Training available at https://runsignup.com/Race/NY/Rochester/WestOfTheRiverTraining. (Registration will open by March 10.)
Special Component of Barbecue Bash Quarters
You can choose to run 1, 2, 3, or all 4 quarters of a marathon (6.55 to 26.2 miles) for Barbecue Bash Quarters (BBQ), formerly Barbecue Bash Half. What's more is that you can adjust down during the race if you need to, so if you started out with the idea of getting a marathon done and it's just not in the cards that day, you will not DNF your race; instead, you'll be bumped down to the last quarter you did finish. On the flipside, you can't decide to upgrade while on the course; that has to be done by the end of packet pick-up on race day so you can pay the appropriate difference in cost and so that Hourglass Works can re-map your timing chip attached to your bib. Accompanying friends for an entire lap after you've finished your race is discouraged for various reasons, including difficulty in accurately conveying to authorities and volunteers how many racers are left. There are no early starts. If you need a race with even more generous cutoffs than ours, we have some suggestions.

Race Gift Giveaways: Again, this year we are giving away shirts with entries. The sizing cutoffs are listed above. If you miss the shirt cutoff, if time and supplies allow, you may be given a substitute race gift. Due to the high cost of shirt production, we do not order extras at this time. If you check in on-site after the race is over, we may have shirts from people who don't show up.
Series Information
Registration for or upgrading to the whole series should be done before June Jaunt occurs. If you do all three races, but do not register for the series, we cannot guarantee you will get the gift due to administrative logistics of tracking participants.
When you register for the series, there's only one spot for choosing a giveaway cut/size, so that will be applicable only to the first race, June Jaunt. You will see questions for your cut/size preference for the other two races in a separate question section along with other registration questions to help us shape the race. When it's closer to the race time, the RD will transfer you to each individual race. If you miss the giveaway cutoff, you are not guaranteed a shirt for June Jaunt. If time and supplies allow, those who miss the shirt may be given a substitute race gift.
What You Get
pacers and/or lead bikes for select races and paces as available, including a final finisher escort (on foot or bike) for whoever is the last person on the course

food-themed kits appropriate to each race
amenity kits appropriate to the season of each race

opportunities to earn more swag and chances to win random prizes on race day
personalized bib for Barbecue Bash Quarters, if registered by giveaway (shirt) cutoff

20% discount on any order at Foot Kinetics (see sponsors)

connectivity to other racers via the Obatron Fitness Conversation Space Facebook group
Sundae & Frozen Fruit Bar for June Jaunt, Salt Potato Bar for The Potato Run, and Barbecue Bar for Barbecue Bash Quarters
generous cutoff times (June Jaunt: 1 hr., 15 min., The Potato Run: 2 hr., 15 min., Barbecue Bash Quarters: 7 hrs., 30 minutes)
Other
You might have surmised there is an emphasis on food! I grew up hungry until I could earn money myself to buy food, and while my company, Obatron Fitness, isn't a non-profit, each race will include three charitable components: 1) fundraising drive via registration for each host town's food program for those in need; 2) a food drive for the same organization on race day; and 3) a portion of proceeds after expenses are covered will be donated to the organization.
Discount Offers & Referrals
Entering the series rather than individual races gets you pricing equal to or less than the total of the individual race fees (depending upon when you register), a lower RunSignUp fee than the sum of the fees when registering separately, and a series gift. The training offered through the series registration page is at a much-reduced price from when we train folks for races other than our own. If you are a member of GRTC or Obatron Race Team, you get a discount at checkout for that. Additionally, you may earn back some of your registration by having other racers use your personal referral link, generated after you register. See the "Referrals" section for more information.
Race Awards & Raffle Prizes
We provide modest awards for the first-place finishers in each gender designation for overall placements and in age groups (AG). Our age group awards are meant to be fun tokens of acknowledgement and in the spirit of the races. We've had keychains, seasonings, and phone holders, among other prizes, in the past. Winners of Race Prizes or Raffles must be present or have someone as their proxy to claim their awards at the race day presentation or they are forfeited, likely being raffled off to volunteers at the end. There will be a modest prize for the series winner sent December or later, after the whole series concludes, if there are at least ten series participants.
Additional Details
We will post additional details as they occur. Any changes will be updated here, on the Obatron Fitness Facebook page, in our Facebook group, and communicated through RunSignUp messaging. Please note, as the pandemic has proven, life is unpredictable! It is possible that changes in time and location could occur for reasons beyond our control. Keep an eye on your email for race communications to ensure you know all you need to know about the race(s).
