REGISTRATION BEGAN JANUARY 12, 2026

The Daffodil Dash returns this spring for its

FOURTH year!!!

Once again, the Ithaca Garden Club and the

Ithaca Children’s Garden are sponsoring this

event, with help from numerous

volunteers and donors.

Dashers will have the opportunity to admire over 180,000 brilliant

daffodils, a project of the Ithaca Garden Club, as they run,

walk, or stroll along the Cayuga Inlet.

These flowers were purchased with

funding from donors and dash participants, and planted

with the help of volunteers from the Ithaca Parks Department,

the Ithaca Garden Club, and the Ithaca Beautification Brigade,

along with Cornell University's incredible planting equipment.

Due to donors’ generosity, EVERY DOLLAR from this event will

transform into

daffodil bulbs, to be planted at Stewart Park in October.

Proceeds from the 2025 Dash were converted into 70,000 daffodil bulbs,

planted along the entrance to Cayuga Medical Center Hospital.

Try to swing by in April when they’ll be blooming!

1 Mile Dash begins at 9:00

5 K Dash begins at 9:30

Children 12 & under receive FREE registration and may purchase a Dash

t-shirt for $5!

$25 registration for all others, with optional $10 Dash t-shirts available.

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk

Finish at Gaia, the Ithaca Children's Garden turtle, after winding through the scenic daffodil blooms planted along the course.

5k Run/Walk

Experience the sights and smells of 180,000 blooming daffodils while running, walking, rolling or strolling along the inlet in Cass Park.

Calling all walkers, runners, and skippers! Join the Mecklenburg community parks' 3rd annual 5k event and be part of something good! . The course is the same as the last two years, it will feature one steep incline. Your participation will play a vital role in enhancing the park's beauty and fostering community spirit. To keep you motivated the parks most enthusiastic supporters will be stationed along the route to cheer you on and keep you on course. A kids' fun run is also offered.

Entry Fee: $25 per participant.

Group discounts for registration group of 4 -7 people reduces registration fee by $2.50 per person

There will be a free Dino Dash for the kids that starts at 9:30AM, and the main race begins at 10 AM.

Fun Run – 10am. 5k – 10:30am

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, runners, their families, and spectators will gather at the Trumansburg Elementary School to take part in the May Day 5K & Fun Run, a tradition that started 13 years ago!

This great community event highlights fun, fitness, and families with proceeds directly benefiting the Trumansburg Parent Teacher Organizations (PTO), as well as the Trumansburg Education Foundation (TEF).

We are proud to host the Trumansburg Girls on the Run Team to finish their season with a 5K in their own hometown. We would love for you to join us in supporting this important wellness event.

Girls on the Run participants, please do not sign up for the MayDay5k on this site. Registration will be included with your Girls on the Run registration.

It's been fun to offer our returners new courses and formats which have highlighted different parts of Ithaca and its surrounding communities. And, first timers, what hopefully will be another day running one of the most beautiful and finest half marathons in the Country. 2025 will be no different. Here's what we're planning:

We'll again start stage from Trumansburg High School, with a Start line on South St. From South St, runners will take a left onto Main St to start a weave through downtown Trumansburg's rolling before beginning to head for Ithaca. They'll pass through the upper tip of Taughannock Falls State Park before reaching the head of the Black Diamond Rail Trail. From there it'll be a steady descent along the hard packed gravel surface to arrive back in Ithaca. Once you emerge it'll be a, hopefully, fast final mile, running north along the Cayuga Lake for a finish in Cass Park.

Starting Line: 2026's running will again start on South St near Main in Trumansburg.

Finish Line: The event will end at Cass Park (701Taughannock Blvd, Ithaca, NY)

05:30 - 06:30 - Race morning finish area parking in targeted zones of Cass Park, Ithaca (adjacent to finish) w/ shuttle buses leaving for start when full.

07:30 - Mass Start on South St (@ Truman St Intersection)

08:40 - First finisher anticipated to reach finish line in Cass Park

09:30 - Shuttle Buses begin transporting finishers back to Trumansburg High School / Start

11:30 - Last finisher anticipated to reach finish line and course closed

12:00 – Catering closed and Park Cleared of Event Staging & Last Shuttle Bus leaves Cass Park for the Start Area

The Ithaca Twilight 5K is a fun, family-friendly event on an early-summer evening. Whether you run or walk, you’ll finish in daylight because it’s held on one of the longest days of the year. With a flat course and relatively few road crossings, it’s a perfect first 5K for all ages.

We start/finish at Cass Park. The race is chip-timed by Leone Timing.

Race day packet pickup is from 5:30–6:45 PM. The race starts promptly at 7 PM.
