UPDATED BOILERMAKER 2026 INFORMATION (as of 3/1/26)!
REGISTRATION:
All special Boilermaker registration periods have been completed and registration is open for all interested participants and will
remain open until race caps are met.
The Boilermaker endeavors to communicate registration based news (i.e. specific registration periods, impending pricing changes, and race cap alerts) in advance via email, social media and our local traditional media outlets. As always, please keep an eye on your emails (we only have the email address you previously registered with) and the Boilermaker Facebook and Instagram pages for updates!
RACE CAPS:
15K race presented by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield will be capped at 11,000 participants
5K race presented by Utica National Insurance Group will be capped at 4,500 participants
PRICING:
This is a tiered pricing event with limited capacities, so register early to save money and your spot(s).
GENERAL RULES:
All Boilermaker events are held rain or shine.
Walkers, animals, skateboards, in-line skates, roller skates, bicycles, and baby joggers/strollers are prohibited.
There are no deferrals and no refunds available.
Dropdowns from the 15K to the 5K are limited (500 available) and are on a first come, first served basis.
PUBLIC HEALTH PROTOCOL:
The Boilermaker will follow local & federal public health guidelines in place come race day. As of today, there are no specific restrictions in place.

By registering for this event, you agree to abide by the health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event.
Per the Boilermaker’s policies, there are no deferrals or refunds.
RACE SAFETY:
The course is restricted to registered athletes and official race personnel.
We strongly discourage the use of headphones in both ears for your safety as well as the safety of others.

Sprint & Olympic Triathlon and AquaBike
Feeling really ambitious? Do the Delta Double! Race the Sprint and get back to the starting line in time to race the Olympic.
Start with a 750m swim followed by a moderate hilly 11 mile bike ride outside of the Park followed by a 5K run all within the grounds of the State Park with a finish right next to the lake. The Olympic participants will complete 2 loops of each course.
Paratriathletes are welcome! Relay Teams of 2 or 3 welcome for the Sprint and Olympic triathlon events only.
Participants in the AquaBike competition will complete their event after the bike.

A forest-to-summit trek up Gore Mountain’s wooded slopes and broad ridgelines. The route is almost entirely shaded and weaves creek-side paths, rooty woods, and ridge roads with Adirondack air and
valley glimpses to reward every step. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.
Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, and complete in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck and unlock bonus finisher swag + serious bragging rights. The course will be extremely well marked with a fun post-trek party for everyone to enjoy!
Trek Day Information
UltraTrax Gore Mountain kicks off at 7am on July 19, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-trek party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 7/3/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.

One choice consists of a very hilly, challenging 10K. The other is a rolling hills, relatively flat 5K. The 5k is an out and back, on Lake Street (Richfield Springs NY). Runners will have a view of
Canadarago Lake for part of their run. The 10K starts out on Lake Street as well but goes up hill where where runners will overlook the same lake as they work back to Lake Street. Registration and awards are at the Richfield Springs Vet's Club, 1/8 of a mile south of the light off of Main Street
Race Day Registration will be from 7 to 8am!

Course
Certified 5K & 10K out and back on Cochran Road, starting and finishing at Farr Road, diagonally across the main road from the historic Round Church. The course is paved with a few rolling
hills. Both events start at 7:30 AM. There is a 2-hour cutoff time.
Registration
Pre-registration is online. Online registration closes at 11:59 PM on Thursday.
Day of registration is available, with an increased fee (see below). Please arrive early if you plan to register day of to help out our volunteers!
Restrictions
Open to runners of ALL ages who identify as female. In the spirit of including marginalized athletes, Round Church Women's Run includes a category for participants who identify as Non-Binary.
Entry Fee
$30 pre-registration/$35 race day. GMAA members subtract $5 from entry fee.
