For 6 weeks, young athletes across Rhode Island and Massachusetts have been swimming, biking, and running toward this one incredible goal!
This finale event brings together participants from
Race4Chase programs across both states to celebrate their hard work, determination, and confidence gained throughout the summer. It’s more than a race, it’s a powerful celebration of youth achievement, healthy living, and community support.
While this event is exclusively for Race4Chase participants and not open to public registration, we need enthusiastic volunteers to help make it a safe, smooth, and unforgettable experience for every child crossing that finish line.

The 23rd Annual Tour of the Litchfield Hills is on for Sunday, August 2nd.
As many of you know, the Tour is a charity ride to benefit The Cancer Care Fund of the Litchfield Hills Inc. Over the past
twenty-two years, the Tour has raised well over $1,600,000 to help cancer victims and their families deal with the ravages of cancer.
The Tour will be fully supported with SAG wagons and rest stops. All of the roads are paved. The Tour routes will take you on scenic, lightly travelled rural roads and through historic villages. There will be our traditional free picnic held at the end of the ride. The first 700 people who register receive a free t-shirt. The Tour is held rain or shine!
Some important things to note are:
The registration fee is $50 if you register online by July 15th. Starting July 16th, the registration fee goes up to $55.
If you raise $1,500 or more in donations, you will receive a free Tour bike jersey.
Because the Tour is the primary fund-raising event for the Cancer Care Fund of the Litchfield Hills, all registrations are non-refundable.
Before you start your ride or walk you must check in at the registration desks at Coe Park - even if you have pre-registered.
We encourage you to form teams. Check our website for details.
We encourage you to collect additional donations from friends, family, biking buddies, random strangers, etc. You can make additional donations on this site or go to www.Pledgereg.com.
Tour bike jerseys will be able for sale at the Tour. Cash, checks and credit cards will be accepted.
Check out our webpage - www.tourofthelitchfieldhills.com - for routes, elevations, photos and other information on the Tour. In planning which route to ride, please note that sag support and rest stops will end at 4 pm.
Stay safe! Bike a lot! And we will see you on Sunday August 2nd at Coe Park in Torrington!

Hoopla 2026 dates just announced!
Join us for a weekend of bringing folks together to enjoy cycling, camping, outdoor adventure and fun! Make new friends, ride awesome trails and try out new bikes.
We have planned a family friendly event and are ready to inspire new riders as well as to challenge trail and road warriors alike. Enjoy guided rides for all levels in the beauty of the Berkshire Hills: road ride, single track, gravel, kids, enduro, double track and family friendly trails. Bonfires, food trucks, live music, BBQ and maybe even a disco tent! This is not a mountain bike specific event, it’s open to all disciplines of cycling whether you are on a road, gravel, kids, fat or mountain bike. Just c’mon out and play!
Camping and event activities are located at Ponderosa Pines Campground at 50 Potter Mountain Rd, in Lanesborough. It is best accessed from the east or south(Pecks Rd, Bull Hill Rd or Churchill St and beware of your GPS advising you to come in from NY to the west via Potter Mtn Rd, you won’t make it over! The campground is nestled in-between Balance Rock State Park and Pittsfield State Forest(https://www.mass.gov/locations/pittsfield-state-forest), the 3rd and 4th largest public lands in the state of Massachusetts. Being on a dirt road it is the perfect location to start a gravel ride, with direct access to single track out the back of the campground is doesn’t get much better for the mountain bikers and the Mount Greylock Visitor Center(https://www.mass.gov/locations/mount-greylock-state-reservation) on Rockwell Rd is a short 7 miles away so you won’t use up to much energy before pedaling to the highest point in Massachusetts on your road bike! We will have a kids loop that stays close to
the event site, but even young teenagers will find that the access to the single track is quite manageable.
Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment to gather like minded people. With your participation, Hoopla is able to support other local cycling events, maintain and improve existing trails, purchase equipment for trail builders and donate to fitness/sporting organizations that need a little help.
Hope to see you there!

Traversing beautiful viewpoints along the Hudson River from New Jersey to New York and back again the Interstate 17 Trail Run delivers amazing scenery as it tests your physical prowess.
You will run
four times on a four mile loop of rugged technical trails after a mile out and back on a closed road to separate the field of runners for safety. You will complete three counterclockwise loops followed by a final loop clockwise. You must check in at the beginning/end of each loop to have your time card punched.
Founded in 2017. This is NOT your average trail race. This trail is meant to test your strength and endurance. Seventeen miles with over 5000 ft. of elevation change, if you're not extremely careful there are many places where you can fall to your death or serious injury. No awards or medals. Race at your own risk.
Course Description
Mile 0-1: from the start/finish out and back on road
Mile 1-2: heading south along a semi technical rock strewn dirt trail which leads to a steep long descent on rocky uneven jagged stairs and switchbacks. Once you reach the bottom you'll head north on smooth dirt trail along the river with beautiful views
Mile 2-3: a boulder filled rock scramble where you'll need to use your hands to navigate at certain points ends with a singletrack dirt trail with short yet steep ascents and descents along the river
Mile 3-4: singletrack dirt path takes you directly back into another rock scramble, however this portion is much more runnable, ending directly on the shore of the river
Mile 4-5: as you continue along the rocky shore trail you'll encounter the beautiful waterfall signaling your time to ascend the cliff using various switchbacks and staircases. Once you reach the top it's a short trip south through wide cross country skiing trails back to the checkpoint/aid station at the start/finish area
Miles 5-9 & 9-13 repeat miles 1-5. Last loop miles 13-17 you'll reverse your path.
Aid Station
Mile 1, 5, 9, & 13 Fully stocked with water, sports drink, soda, candies, oranges, chips, pretzels and more! Feel free to leave your own personal supply stash, it will be safe and easy to access each loop.
*Due to distance between aid we highly recommend carrying your own hydration supply (handhelds may be cumbersome at times you may require both hands free)
Email with complete information will be sent a week prior to event date to all registered runners, plz check your junk folder or send us a message if you can’t locate it.
