KING'S TOUR OF THE QUABBIN – Sunday, Oct. 4, 2026 – Hardwick, Mass.
NEW THIS YEAR! Early Bird registration fees ($40/$60) apply until 9 p.m. July 3. After that, registration costs $10 more.
Online
registration closes at 9 p.m. Sept. 30. Fees go up another $10 for day-of-ride registration.
Bicycle around the Quabbin Reservoir, a pristine jewel in the heart of Massachusetts. Choose from two road routes (64 or 101 miles) or two gravel routes (approximately 44 or 77 miles, each approximately half paved). Not much traffic; plenty of hills.
Start/finish for all routes is at Hardwick Winery, 3305 Greenwich Road, Hardwick, MA 01082. Check-in opens at 6:45 a.m. Start times are flexible, but we recommend century riders and gravel riders start 7:00-8:00 a.m., and road metric riders start 8:00-9:00 a.m. All routes except the Road Metric will stop at Petersham Common.
Routes will not be arrowed. Routes will be scouted prior to the event for road/trail conditions and may be modified accordingly. Final Ride with GPS links will be emailed to online registrants the week before the ride.
Road metric (64 miles, approx. 5000 feet of climbing)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/48772978
Rest stops at mile 27 (Palmer, 8:30 a.m.-noon) and 50 (Farmer Matt in New Braintree, 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m.).
Road century (101 miles, 6000+ feet of climbing)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54352628
Rest stops at mile 28 (Rt. 202 in Pelham, 8:30-11 a.m.), mile 58 (Leverett Co-op store), and mile 85 (Petersham Common, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.). Road century riders get a $5 credit to use at the Leverett store.
Gravel Loop (77 miles, approx. 6000 feet of climbing)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54352619
Rest stops at mile 28 (Petersham Common, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.) and mile 60 (Petersham Common again).
Little Gravel – hard finish (45 miles, approx.3400 feet of climbing)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54352597
Rest stop at mile 29 (Petersham Common, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
Little Gravel – easy finish (43 miles, approx. 3100 feet of climbing)
https://ridewithgps.com/routes/54352606
Rest stop at mile 29 (Petersham Common, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
The gravel routes avoid DCR trails. On the Little Gravel route, there's an option at mile 40 to do an easy finish (remainder of route is mostly paved, and the route totals 43 miles) or a hard finish (remainder of route is unpaved, with nearly 300 feet more climbing, and the route totals 45 miles).
Not sure which route is for you? Not to worry -- you can change your selection online at any time before registration closes. You can even wait until ride day and decide in the middle of the ride. Both road routes are the same until the Quabbin Visitor Center, at mile 18. Both gravel routes go to the Petersham rest stop at mile 28. So whether you're on the road or the gravel, you can decide partway how to continue.
Limited to 150 riders.
Refreshments afterwards at Hardwick Winery, with a food truck for the afternoon.

The Keene Family YMCA’s Fall Foliage Trail Races offer runners a great opportunity to explore some of Keene’s best trails, while supporting the charitable work of the Y.
This unique race starts and
ends at the Keene YMCA, where spectators and your fellow runners will be cheering you on. This year we’re excited to bring you an even better race experience, with options for those new to the sport and for the seasoned trail runner.
Our 5K course is a great introduction to trail running, with a good mix of terrain that will give you a taste of what it’s like to run trails. This is a fast course, offering a great experience for beginners, and a potential PR opportunity for those with a bit more experience.
The 10K course is a bit more challenging, though still very runnable with lots of smooth singletrack and plenty of elevation gain to get your heart pumping.
All participants who register by or before September 1sr will get a race t-shirt. We should have some extras for late entries, but we can’t guarantee we’ll have your size so make sure to register early!
Prizes will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age group. Age groups will be as follows:
60 and over
50-59
40-49
30-39
20-29
15-19
11-15
Under 10
Chip timing is being provided by Tri-State Racing.
Funds raised from this event help to make YMCA programs and services more accessible to everyone in our community. We strive to ensure that no one is turned away due to lack of funds and events such as this help us ensure that everyone who chooses to has access to the Y and all of our life-changing programs.

For more than ten years, the Sitrin Health Care Center’s Annual Stars & Stripes Run & Walk for our Nation’s Heroes has served as the primary fundraiser for Sitrin’s Military Program. This unique
program provides comprehensive, complimentary care to post-9/11 veterans and service members affected by post-traumatic stress, suicidal ideations, traumatic brain injuries, depression, and other combat-related conditions.
In addition to innovative treatment, Sitrin offers the Military Civilian Coalition, designed to promote camaraderie, advocacy, educational opportunities, and transitional support to civilian life. The group meets at various locations in the community and enables veterans and civilians to interact through social and athletic endeavors. Activities include the annual Warrior Retreat at Camp Sitrin, TRX Suspension Training, golf, fly fishing, gardening, yoga, biking, therapeutic hand drumming, and more.
With a continued focus on supporting veterans and service members, Sitrin is excited to continue this event every year to support local veteran care!
