    Join us for a milestone year as we celebrate the 10th Annual Brookline Bolt 5K Run/Walk! This year’s event returns to the stunning grounds of Camp Tevya, right along Lake Potanipo - a perfect setting for a community run, walk, and hours of fun!

    About the Course

    The 5K follows an out‑and‑back route along the scenic Tevya section of the Brookline Rail Trail. The terrain is mostly flat and beginner‑friendly. Walkers and runners of all paces are welcome! Please note the following:

    • Jogging strollers work best on the trail

    • No pets, please

    • Race‑day bib pickup is available on site before the race

    5K Registration Pricing

    Ages 4 & under:

    • Free!

    Ages 5–12:

    • $20 through 4/30/26

    • $25 from 5/1/26 to 5/29/26

    • $30 on race day (limited)

    Ages 13+:

    • $30 through 4/30/26

    • $35 from 5/1/26 to 5/29/26

    • $40 on race day (limited)

    Kids Fun Run

    The Kids Fun Run returns and is free for all kids! It starts at 9:30 AM sharp. Don’t forget to grab your Fun Run award at the finish line!

    The Brookline Bolt is one of the PTO’s largest annual fundraisers, supported generously by local businesses. To showcase our sponsors, race shirts are back for 2026! The first 50 registered 5K participants receive a free shirt! Additional shirts are available for $20 during registration through 5/10. Please note that a limited number of shirts will be available for sale on race day. All shirts can be picked up at the race!

    ​T​ake a 5 mile run along the ​beautiful Cheshire Rail Trail from the original Fitzwilliam Railroad Depot at 6 Church Street Fitzwilliam, NH to the newly restored Troy Depot on Depot Street in Troy, NH.

    The Cheshire Rail Trail starts in Walpole NH going through Fitzwilliam, NH. The original railroad trail started back on May 16 1948, for train uses, they ended in 1960. Eventually, this rail trail became a bicycle/hiking path. The terrain can go from very tall grass areas, to rocky/sandy, or paved and gravel. It is roughly about 43 miles all put together. The Depot Day Fun Run is along a well maintained 5 mile path from Fitzwilliam, NH to Troy, NH. Food & festivities will​ help us celebrate​ at both Depots from 9AM - noon. Adult run begins at 10 AM. Short Children's Loop Run at the Fitzwilliam Depot 11 AM . Fundraiser for the Fitzwilliam & Troy Historical Societies. Please Join us!

    A summit-driven grind up Wachusett Mountain where steady climbs, rocky pitches, and winding forest trails test your legs and reward your effort. The route traverses Wachusett’s ski slopes and wooded single-track, climbing through pine and hardwood forest before breaking onto exposed upper mountain terrain with sweeping views across Central Massachusetts and, on clear days, all the way to Boston’s skyline. Push your pace. Carry your weight. Move with the pack.

    Choose your distance: 7, 14, 21, or 28 miles, and complete in 10 hours to earn the coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf Medal. Toss on a 10, 20, or 35-lb weighted vest or ruck and unlock bonus finisher swag + serious bragging rights. The course will be extremely well marked with a fun post-trek party for everyone to enjoy!

    Trek Day Information

    UltraTrax Wachusett kicks off at 7am on August 30, 2026. The starting line will be open from 7am to 10am with the post-trek party starting at 11am. It is not a race, but it is a timed event and walkers will have 10 hours to complete the course. Bibs can be mailed or picked up the morning of the event. **IF YOU REGISTER AFTER 8/15/26, BIBS MUST BE PICKED UP IN PERSON. A friend or relative can pick up a bib if you can't attend. Complimentary parking is available onsite. Finishers will receive a custom t-shirt and velcro patch. Level 3 and 4 participants will also qualify to earn our coveted UltraTrax Grey Wolf medal. Refreshments and food will be available after the race.

    Delicious Base Camp Food: Base Camp welcomes guests under the signature ski lodge deck with plenty of food trucks.
