    2026 Mike’s Seafood Valentine’s Day 5K Run/Walk for Autism is on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at JFK and the Boardwalk, 12:00 noon start. Proceeds benefit Special Services Schools, Autism Support Groups, Families of Special Needs Children, and Autism Speaks.

    This unique event encourages runners and walkers of all ages to participate with their families, while supporting a worthwhile cause. Please review the event application for prize details for both men and women in the various age classifications for the 5K run. The walk is a non-competitive event.

    Then join us in the HUGE HEATED tents outside Excursion Park for Live Music, an Awards Ceremony, Door-Prizes, and Magicians and Face Painting for the Kids! All while enjoying a large Buffet consisting of: Bagels, Donuts, Pastries, Soft Pretzels, Fruit and Drinks.

    The first 2,000 pre-registered participants will receive a T-Shirt and are entered into the Door Prize Give-Away. Race day T-Shirt available while supplies last.

    All team members must signup by Wednesday, February 11, 2026 @ 5pm.

    (Pre-registered teams with 10 or more will get a discount.)

    Teams with 20 or more participants will receive their pre-registered race packets grouped together in one box. To ensure an efficient pickup process, please designate one team representative to collect the entire box.

    The give away this year is a pair of amazing and super comfortable FEETURES SOCKS! Socks are limited to the first 300 registered runners.

    Youth runners will again get a FLEECE CREW! Limited sizes and quantities. First registered get first pick. IF fleece crews run out, youth will get a pair of features socks or you can choose them if you want instead of fleece crew.

    Come join us for a fun family day of running to support those in need in our community. We have a distance that is right for everyone. Participants get to chose a 5K run or 2 mile walk on the beach. 5K Awards go to TOP 3 male and female overall and age group winners in 10 year groups.

    ONLINE REGISTRATION ONLY. PICK UP IS RACE DAY 6:15-7:45AM inside Community Hall: 3001 Avalon Avenue Avalon, NJ 08202. run It is an out and back course. All the runs start and finish at 30th Street and the Beach. The 2 Mile Walk turn around is @ 49th Street. 5K turn around is at 60th Street. The event is chipped timed by DQ Events. You will be running down by the water edge in packed hard sand. There is NOT a water aid station on the course.

    KIDS 2K and 1K FUN RUNS are also included in the day's event. The goal of hosting the fun runs is to transform lives through sport.

    We believe that every aspiring young athlete should have the opportunity to participate in our life-changing sport. We want to provides a fun fitness outlet that can jump start a healthy lifestyle for years to come and our TKC events provide the platform for families to race together! Running is the easiest starting point to the mutisport world for most youth, it can be done pretty much anywhere with just a pair of sneakers. We are grateful for your support of our programs that will help solidify the future of sport for aspiring athletes. Medals to all youth finishers. Awards for top 5 male and female is each age group. 8 and under, 9-10, 11-12, 13-15 years old.

    2K Fun Run turn around for YOUTH 11-15 years old is @ 42nd Street. The 1K FUN RUN turn around for YOUTH 10 AND UNDER is at 36th Street.(We take them young if they can run it!)

    We do have our famous FASTEST FAMILY for the event. It is FREE!! Mom or dad (must be ONE parent) in the 5k run team up with one child in either of the 2K or 1K RUNS. FASTEST FAMILY any pair of immediate family members both running in the 5K! Top 3 lowest combined times win a prize for each of the distances (10 and under in the 1K and 11-15 in the 2K, and any age in the 5K) Winners get bragging rights for the year as The Island's Fastest Family. Now everyone in your family has to come out and run with us.

    We are supporting a wonderful local charity from this event. Proceeds will go to the Helen L. Diller Vacation Home for Blind Children right here in Avalon. These funds will go to them offsetting the $1500 per week cost per child for their free week of vacation here in Avalon. Support of the Home is provided by volunteerism, foundation grants, general donations and community organizations. 100% of your donation will go to fund their programs.

    Join us for the 4th annual Kelly’s Kidz 5K and Family Fun Walk on the Wildwood Boardwalk! This year’s race takes place during Christmas in July weekend and Santa will be there! So wear your Christmas gear, dress the family, and kick off your Christmas in July festivities while supporting a great cause!

    The race benefits Kelly's Kidz, a non-profit organization founded by Bob Kelly and his son Austin. Kelly's Kidz supports patients at local children's hospitals with toys, pajamas, and distraction items all through the year. For more information visit Kelly’s Kidz Facebook page: Kelly's Kidz

    Flat and fast chip-timed event starting and ending at the Seaport Pier!

    Register by July 15th to receive a Kelly's Kidz T-Shirt.

    First, second, and third place male and female overall and age group award medals will be given out to the winning 5K participants after the race.

    We are thrilled with the enthusiasm and incredible support for our must do open water charity swim in the Avalon back bays! We are celebrating 17 years of swimming around Cedar Island this year. The World Open Water Swimming Association named the Cedar Island 5K Swim as One of America's Top Open Water Swims. This is a list of the most unique, most popular, most historic, most beautiful, most interesting, and most challenging open water swims across the 50 states of the United States of America. Following criteria is used to determine the list of open water swims.

    1. History 2. Uniqueness 3. Popularity 4. Difficulty 5. Attention to Safety 6. Global geographic distribution

    The course is designed to be going with the tide for the beginning and the end of the event! All proceeds from the race will be going to the SNEAKERS FOR SOLDIERS. Athletes receive an XTERRA mesh backpack, choice of a unisex or female style tee shirt, custom event Defeet socks, event swim cap, chip timing, and a custom event finisher towel. Thank you so very much for the amazing support.

    CEDAR ISLAND 5K SWIM GEAR is available for donation! $25 in the donation tab gets you a CI5KS event long sleeved hooded tee shirt! You asked and we listened....grab our PREMIUM HOODIE OR BOXERCRAFT PAJAMAS (or BOTH!) over in the STORE for $50.00 donation! Quantities will be listed by size and a first come first serve basis. Grab them while we got them!

    RACE DAY: Packet pick up is 7:45 am-9:15 am at AYC. THERE IS NO PARKING AT ALL WHAT SO EVER AT THE AVALON YACHT CLUB. Parking in only available at the AYC for ON WATER SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS with their kayaks and SUPs. There is plenty of street parking along 6th, 7th, and 8th Streets, Ocean Drive, and Dune Drive. (There are bathrooms in that building!) It is a short walk to the club but we also have 2 JITNEY SHUTTLES floating all these areas to pick you up and drop you off to packet pick up. 4 Port O Pots will be available (2 blue for guys, 2 pink for gals) at the AYC in the back rear, right side of the parking lot.

    Check in is at the Avalon Yacht Club. A bib list will be sent a few days prior to the race. Please know your number. You can SELF MARK YOUR LEFT HAND WITH YOUR BIB NUMBER PRIOR to your arrival at pick up. This will help us get everyone in and out quickly at pick up. You bib number will be confirmed along with your ICE contact information. You will then get tour athlete bag with everything you need in it. Your custom athlete bag will contain your event swim cap, timing chip and strap to be worn on either ankle, IT IS MANDATORY TO WEAR THE EVENT SWIM CAP provided in your bag. Also, in your bag is your event tee shirt and custom Defeet socks.

    The 5K swim starts and finishes at Avalon Yacht Club. We are going back to our MASS IN WATER START at 9:40 am! Things will move very quickly so be ready to be called into the water over the timing mat. MANDATORY 90 minute cut off time that is strictly enforced and if not met, you will be pulled from the course. All swimmers need to be done by 11:10 AM. Water temperature is typically mid 70s and wetsuit legal.

    *DO NOT GATHER AT THE SWIM START DOCK UNTIL 9:30 am. Volunteers will be there with their SUP and kayaks preparing to get on the water for your safety during the swim. They will have an 9:20 am volunteer safety meeting on the dock at the start/finish line.

    You may enter the bay for warm up. It is unguarded prior to the race start. You must be out of the water by 9:15 AM.

    9:30 AM Swimmers will be counted in and cross a timing mat. There is a 90 minute cut off time to complete the swim and finish at the Avalon Yacht Club.

    This is a counter clockwise course. The back bay is nice and wide along the entire course. On water safety patrol will be there to guide you, especially to help you round the buoys. SITE and know your surroundings. You will swim out to a WHITE NO WAKE BUOY, then turn left and stay MARSH SIDE for the open inter coastal water way. Once you are on the back bay, you will then swim on the right side of the bay/DOCK SIDE, round the three ORANGE buoys in each corner, keeping them on your left shoulder. You do NOT HAVE TO ROUND THE BUOY at the finish line. Go straight line into the exit ladder on the dock. Swimmers will exit by a swim ladder located on the end of the large floating dock at AYC. YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR OWN TIMING CHIP ONCE YOU HAVE EXITED UP THE RAMP AT AYC. It is recommended to keep your own time if possible to confirm times. This is a charity swim so please be respectful and keep your order upon exit or waiting to climb the ladder.

    All four buoys you will round LEFT. You must go around all buoys!

    We are committed to you, our charitable and dedicated swimmers. We are looking forward to an impactful and rewarding day swimming for charity.

    AWARDS: Top 5 M/F Overall, Top M/F Masters and Grand Masters, Oldest and Youngest swimmers.

    This is the 2nd race of the TKC Open Water Summer Swim Series: the TRIPLE CROWN! Race #1 is the 1.2 Mile Bay Swim on July 11th and we round out the series on September 12th with the 1.2 mile Point to Point Bay Swim. Race all three events and get a Triple Crown Award. We will combine everyones times from all three races. Top 5 male and female overall with the lowest net times will get a special award and we will crown a grand champion for 2025.

    Celebrating 37 years of running and making a difference in our community. We are looking forward to welcoming all of you to the end of summer must do event, the 37th Annual Tim Kerr 7 Mile Island Run and TK5K Run/Walk.

    All shirts have been ordered and are in stock now. We highly encourage you to sign up online to guarantee you get the shirt size and style that you would like to have from the race. We do run out of some shirt sizes on race weekend.

    • We are proud to announce that we have a non-binary registration option that has their own awards categories: overall and age groups.

    • Finisher's medals for all events.

    • All first time half marathon finishers will receive a plaque that commemorates their first half finish. The athletes will also receive their finisher’s medal. Find Mark at the end of the race and let him know you ran your first half.

    • Walkers and families are welcome.

    • We'll have the inflatable finish line arch ready and waiting for you.

    • There will be food and drink post-race.

    EARLY START INFO

    Here is the information going forward for all races regarding early starts:

    • No early starts for 5K/10K

    • A single early start time 1 hour before the actual start time for Half (& Full if applicable)

    • No awards for any early starts

    Also, anyone doing the early start should be trying to run a 15min mile or slower for the half or full. If they end up doing faster than 2:15 for the half they may not get a time.
