This is RACE #1in the TKC Open Water Summer Swim Series: TRIPLE CROWN! Cedar Island is race #2 and the September Point to Point is race #3. in the series. Triple Crown Swimmers who register for all three swims will get a TC Award. All three swim times are combined for everyone and the top 5 male and female overall with the low net score will get an additional overall prize.

This is a perfect training swim for participants who are registered for Cedar Island 5K Swim on August 25th! It is a point to point 1.2 mile bay training swim with the current on the back half of the Cedar Island 5K Swim course. This is an event to familiarize you with the end of the course surroundings and key site locations on it, the current, and open water swimming in a group. The Cedar Island 5K Swim can be a little overwhelming with 300 swimmers. This practice swim with a smaller group of 150 swimmers will give you the confidence for a safe and successful race for both events. Athletes receive a swim cap, chip timing, Finisher's Towel, and an event comfy LIVE AND TELL HOODIE! I promise that you will love them! The hoodies have already been purchased, and are available first come first served on selecting your size. Don't wait to sign up, as sizes are limited and we SOLD OUT early for last year's event. L & T light weight Long Sleeved Tees are available as an add on in the store for

    a $25 donation.

You can have someone drop you at 20th Street and 5th Avenue public dock after you check in and pick up. The other option is walk (or run) to the swim start. It is ab out 1.5 miles. Starting at the hall, head west down 30th Street until Ocean drive.Turn right and go down 1/2 mile and turn left at the 21st Street light and go over the bridge, stay on 21st Street until you get to 5th Avenue, turn right and go one block, the public dock will be straight in front of you. There is some parking down in this area if you choose to get dropped off there and have your friends/family watch you start the race. They can follow you along Ocean

Drive but they cannot park at the AYC to see you finish. They may park near there and walk onto the grounds to see you finish.

**DO NOT GATHER ON THE SWIM START DOCK UNTIL 7:20AM. Volunteers will be there with their SUP and kayaks preparing to get on the water for your safety during the swim. Once the dock is cleared, you will self seed by your expected finish times, fastest times on deck on the dock and followed by the times in sequential order. *10:55PM Seeding Swim Times on the dock : Under 25 Minutes, 26-30 Minutes, 31-39, 40-45 Minutes, 45 plus Minutes. The back bay is nice and wide along the entire course. There is a a mandatory 60 minute time limit to finish the swim.

You will walk down the 5 stairs (all the stairs are out of the water) to the fixed dock below, which is also out of the water. Swim time will start once you cross the timing mat just prior to entering the water thru the posts of the ladder. You may jump or dive into the water. Head out from the dock/cove into the open bay, making sure to clear the docks on your right hand side. Turn right and SWIM DOCK SIDE on the right side of the bay side along 20th Street to Ocean Drive where you will make a LEFT TURN around the BUOY on the course. It is a straight line along Ocean Drive which becomes a slight left turn once you reach 7th Street. THERE IS A NEW BUOY DEEP IN THE 7TH STREET/OCEAN DSRIVE CORNER THAT YOU MUST TURN LEFT AROUND IT. No cutting the course close to the marsh. Follow along 7th Street until you get to the end and arrive at the Avalon Yacht Club for the finish.

THERE IS NO GUARDED WARM UP SWIM!! Participants will remain on the dock and then down the sidewalk. Things will move quickly so be prepared and ready to swim. Swimmers will be counted in and cross a timing mat at 11:00 AM sharp. Swimmers will SELF SEED according to swim time/bib number when entering the water. It will be time trial start seeding the faster swimmers first. There is a 60 minute cut off time to complete the swim and finish at the Avalon Yacht Club which starts when you enter the water so do not worry if your are near the end of the start! Swimmers will exit by a swim ladder located on the end of the large floating dock at AYC. There will be a buoy marking the dock/finish line. You do not have to round this buoy. It is recommended to keep your own time if possible to confirm times. Please be respectful and keep your order upon exit or waiting to climb one of the three the ladders. YOU MUST REMOVE YOUR OWN TIMING CHIP ONCE YOU HAVE EXITED UP THE RAMP AT AYC and you will then

receive your custom event finisher's towel.

Dropped bags will be in a drop bag zone for you to pick up after you finish at the AYC. AWARDS are at the AYC approximately 8:15am (or whenever the last swimmer finishes the swim.) Awards ceremony will be held at the beach patrol headquarters, 44th Street and Promenade, at 7:30 PM. The beach patrol does not mail trophies, medals or plaques to individuals who are not able to stay for the awards ceremony.

    TEAMS AND BEACH PATROLS

The number of entries allowed per team or beach patrol is unlimited. The first four runners across the finish line will score for a team or beach patrol. All members must complete their own registration form.

SEA ISLE CITY BEACH PATROL PARTNERS WITH FOR PETE'S SAKE

In September 1999, Sea Isle City Beach Patrol bid farewell to former lifeguard Peter R. Bossow, Jr., who lost his battle with testicular cancer. Before passing at age thirty, Peter founded For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS), a non-profit dedicated to providing transformative Respite Experiences for adult cancer patients and their families.

For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation (FPS) enables cancer patients and their loved ones to strengthen, deepen and unify their relationships by creating unforgettable and lasting Respite Experiences. Each month, up to ten families travel to Woodloch Resort, their travel partner in Hawley, Pennsylvania, escaping the relentless cycle of doctor visits, surgeries, tests and treatments. Families create magical, memorable moments through this unique gift of time together, experience joy amidst crisis, confront cancer hardships together, and find emotional healing, hope, and happiness during these uncertain times by connecting with others in the same cancer journey. For those too sick to travel, FPS offers a Staycation Respite Experience focused on creating cherished memories at home.

The beach patrol encourages individuals and teams to support FPS. These cost-free Respite Experiences would not be possible without the community's support, and through your contribution, you will help FPS continue to serve families facing cancer. To fundraise for FPS, visit their page here. You will receive a thank you and receipt directly from For Pete's Sake Cancer Respite Foundation.

For more information about FPS and its mission, visit www.takeabreakfromcancer.org.
