The Run For Freedom benefits Liberty House, a safe haven that provides substance-free housing and assistance to help veterans get back on their feet, regain their independence and build stable futures.
The GDTC is a non-profit charitable organization devoted to promoting running and related activities.

The 29th Annual Merrimack Sparkler 5K Run/Walk hosted by the Merrimack Road Runners Booster Club is held every year on the 4th of July with all profits benefiting the Merrimack High and Middle School Track and Cross Country programs. The Booster's Club is a volunteer organization that proudly supports all running programs in Merrimack, both at the Middle School and High School levels. The Merrimack Sparkler 5K is the largest fundraiser of the year. All money raised goes directly to the kids participating in cross country, indoor track and outdoor track and field. With the past support of our community the Booster's Club has been able to give money towards coaching stipends, clothing stipends, replacement of equipment and travel expenses. The Booster Club also gives out (5) $500 scholarships at the end of the year to graduating seniors. This years race will (like our races since 2021) will start and finish on the Merrimack High School track.

Join us on Saturday July 4th at 8:00am for the 35th Annual Boxford July 4th Road Race. Set in the historic East Boxford Village, this wonderful family event includes something for everyone including a 2.5 and 5 mile competitive event, and the Boxford mile. All runners and walkers are encouraged to join in the fun!
The overall fastest male and female 5-mile, 2.5-mile, and Youth 1-mile (who has registered by July 1st) will receive a gift card for Benson's Ice-Cream. There will be medals for the top three male and female runners in each age group and finisher ribbons for all competitors in the Youth Mile. Race times will be available by age group following the run.
The Boxford Mile Race starts at 8:00am. The 5 Mile / 2.5 Mile runs start approximately at 8:15 a.m. (after the conclusion of the Boxford Mile). The mile run will NOT have a water stop. The 2.5 mile course will have 1 water stop and the 5 mile course will have 2 water stops.
Shirts are guaranteed for the first 350 registrations.
Registration fees: Early Bird registration is $30.00 (plus processing fees) until May 31st for the 2.5 mile, 5 mile, and adult 1 mile (17+), Youth 1 mile (16 and under) is $25.00 (plus processing fees) until May 31st. Regular registration is $35.00 (plus processing fees) for the 2.5 mile, 5 mile, and adult 1 mile (17+), Youth 1 mile (16 and under) is $30.00 (plus processing fees) until July 4th at 7:30am when online registration closes.
Proceeds support the Jennifer Tinney Scholarship Fund at Masconomet High School and the BAA Road Race Scholarship for a Boxford Senior. This is registration for the New England Randonneurs 600k Brevet or 2x200k Brevet to be held on July 11 to 12, 2026.
A current year RUSA Membership is REQUIRED to ride this event. Memberships will not be available for purchase at the start and non-members will be unable to start. Please verify and purchase/renew your RUSA membership prior to registering for this event. Riders will not be allowed to start until they are full RUSA members with a permanent RUSA number.
Note: When first becoming a RUSA member, riders will be assigned a temporary number (starting with a T) but this can not be used for registration. It generally takes 2-3 days to receive a permanent RUSA number. (Longer if paying by check and not PayPal.) We are unable to make exceptions to this policy and riders who are not full RUSA members before the event will not be allowed to start.
New England Randonneurs (NER) Membership is separate from RUSA membership. RUSA Membership is required for this and all events. NER Membership is appreciated but optional.
Lodging: We are going to use the Westbrook Community Center for the overnight control and ride organizer will transport rider's sleeping bag and drop bag between the start and the overnight control for both rides.

Come celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the inaugural running of the Pursuit of Happiness 5k! Hosted by the American Independence Center, the race starts and finishes in historic downtown Exeter, the Revolutionary Capital of New Hampshire. Explanation of Races
Scratch - Race runs the determined number of laps; top 5 taken at the finish
Points Race - Sprints every 6 laps; 5, 3, 2, and 1 point awarded for top 4 in each sprint. Points are doubled for the finish (10, 6, 4, & 2). Riders gaining laps on the designated field will earn 20 pts; riders losing laps on the designated field will lose 20 pts. Ties in points are broken by finish of last sprint.
Tempo - Every lap the first two riders score 2 and 1 points respectively: The final lap scores 3, 2, and 1 point.
Elimination – The last rider across the line at designated intervals is eliminated. Eliminations typically occur every one of two laps, as announced. The final two riders will sprint for the win on the last lap. Eliminated riders must exit the track safely when directed.
Omnium-style track meet. Track bikes only. Categories will be combined or split at promoters’ discretion based on attendance. Promoter reserves the right to cancel races that do not meet the minimum field limit listed above or merge fields to achieve minimum field sizes. Omnium leaders will be invited to participate in the Feature.

The DAM sprint triathlon is in its 16th year of existence and the DAM duathlon in its 7th year at Lake Gardner in Amesbury, MA. Both events are USAT sanctioned events and managed by a USAT Certified Race Director. Come run in a local tradition! Berna’s Great Legs 5k is a long established women-only race. Now in its 44rd year, it is the second oldest continuously running women’s only event in the country. This race is for women of all ages and abilities; both runners and walkers can sign up to enjoy the fun 5K course through the Belvidere neighborhood of Lowell. Bring your friends, mothers, daughters and sisters and come check out this amazing race.
This event is managed by the Greater Lowell Road Runners with all Timing and Race Management donated by Yankee Timing. 100% of net proceeds from this race are donated to the House of Hope in Lowell, MA.

The Reading Lions Club ("Club") and The Friends of Reading Recreation annually present a family-friendly 5K Road Race and 1 Mile Walk through central Reading. All proceeds from the race are donated to the Massachusetts Lions Eye Research Fund (MLERF), and other local sight-related charities supported by the Club. MLERF finances basic eye research at world renowned institutions such as the Mass. Eye and Ear right here in Boston. Over the years, the Club has donated over $350,000 from the proceeds of this race to MLERF, and we are excited to continue these efforts in conjunction with the Friends of Reading Recreation (FORR).
2026 will mark the 59th running of this summer classic honoring coach Bill Luti who founded what was then the Concord 5 Miler in 1968. As such it is one of the oldest continuing footraces in New England. The course is a 5 mile USATF certified loop from Memorial Field in Concord, NH, through scenic St. Paul's School.
A free Kids Fun Run for 12 and Under is available after the main event. You can register for this event on site beginning at 9:15 am race morning.
Online registration closes Thursday, July 16, at 9:00 AM. After that, late sign up can be done at Marathon Sports in Concord on Friday, July 17 from 2:00 to 6:00 PM or at Memorial Field on Saturday Morning between 6:30 and 7:45. Skip the lines on race day and try our early packet pickup at Marathon Sports on Main Street in Concord. You will also receive a 15% discount on most store purchases while you’re there.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Please note the race will be held rain or shine, but if the weather or other unforeseen circumstances threaten the safety of athletes, race management reserves the right to cancel the event or alter portions of the swim, bike, and/or run courses.
Please understand that in the unlikely case that we did have to cancel the event, no refunds would be issued, however, a partial credit would be offered to next year’s race; further details will be communicated post-race.

THE RACE COURSE
Swim
The GPS measured swim takes place in placid Long Pond and is a .50 mile triangular course. There will be a time trial start. Swim angels are available for athletes who would like an experienced swimmer to accompany them on the swim. First come, first serve basis.
Bike
The 10 mile bike course is a single loop through Littleton with some hills in the park area that are sure to raise your heart rate a beat or two.
Run
The on and off-road run course is well-marked and marshaled and one of the most interesting run routes of any sprint triathlon with an off-road section that keeps you focused and gives you great material for your post-race stories. The run finishes along the beach with cheering spectators fueling the athletes along the final stretch. Then it’s under the giant New England Timing finish arch and on to the post-race festivities.
Triathlon
The triathlon will have a time trial swim start.. Your race time will start when you cross over the Swim Start mats on the beach.
Duathlon
The duathlon will start approximately at the same time as the first swimmers enter the water. The start will be at the Run-Out portion of transition with your race time starting when you cross over the Run-Out timing mat.
Aqua-Bike
The swim will be part of the regular swim and they will not have a special start. Your race will finish when you cross the BIKE-IN mats. If you wish, Aqua-bikers are welcome to cross the finish and receive your medal. Please return your timing chip to one of the volunteers in the transition area.
RACE VENUE ACTIVITIES
Come to race but stay for the fun! Your triathlon experience includes a DJ playing great music and yummy post-race treats. This is a family-friendly race venue with a playground on the beach.
USAT SANCTIONED
Results will count toward national and regional rankings. All USAT rules and regulations will apply. Racers are subject to time penalties or disqualification for infractions of USAT rules.
MASSACHUSETTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
This is a 2026 USA Triathlon State Championships Ranking Point Event. Residents of Massachusetts can earn points which — combined with results in other qualifying races — will be totaled by USA Triathlon at the end of 2026. Note: you must participate in at least three qualifying races to be eligible for State Champion.

This will be our 13th season of Thursday races at the Park. These are fast and fun races that rip through the trails in and around SHP. They are designed to help you get ready for your weekend races. Nothing like a little timed competition to get your heart rate up! A great way to get out during the week and maybe see a few familiar faces and meet some new folks with a similar passion for riding bikes!
