The tradition continues in 2026 on Tuesday, July 28th as we celebrate the 66th running of the NBPT Lions Yankee Homecoming Race.

Imagine a beautiful Summer evening in the seaport town of Newburyport, MA. Thousands of runners will enjoy our breathtaking 5K and 10 Miles courses along the ocean, through the bustling downtown and charming New England neighborhoods. The NBPT Lions Yankee Homecoming 5K and 10M courses are truly picturesque as they have been for decades.

  • Everyone registered before July 1st will receive a personalized bib number printed with your name.

  • Everyone registered before July 1st will receive a commemorative short-sleeve tech race shirt. After that date, shirts cannot be guaranteed - register early!

  • All finishers will receive a custom finisher medal with a sublimated neck ribbon

    The 1st LT Derek Hines Soldiers Assistance Fund is excited to return to Cashman Park for the 15th Annual Flag Day 5K road race. This 5K walk or run honors 1st LT Derek Hines and supports the fund that provides financial assistance for Massachusetts’ soldiers, and their families, who have incurred serious, career-ending, and life-altering injuries while on active duty.

    The Flag Day 5K is a USATF Certified 5K Run.

    We are PROUD to continue hosting the Amesbury Days community 5K as an official event of the 2026 Amesbury Days brought to you by the Amesbury Chamber of Commerce. The last couple of years have been a huge success since we've taken over management of the event. We're making efforts to continue to enhance the runner experience while making the necessary changes to attract a larger audience! This year's event will offer an awesome course, terrific local vibe and way more room for an even bigger party at Heritage Park in the Lower Millyard.

    That being said we are back this summer with a slightly revised 5K start and finish and the addition of the Amesbury Days 1 Mile Race!!

    The 5K course is the same route just the elimination of one last big hill climb and a slight change to the finish.

    The new 1 Mile course follows the same route, just an abridged version.
