33 Years of Supporting Vermont Adaptive
The Vermont 50 is an annual race held during the last weekend of September at Ascutney Outdoors in West Windsor, Vermont. All benefits go to Vermont Adaptive Ski and Sports. A wonderful place where youth and adults with disabilities gain a measure of self confidence and independence by participating in adaptive sports programs and activities year-round.
Since 1993 the Vermont 50 has been a destination for mountain bikers and ultra runners to enjoy a challenging and scenic Vermont landscape course that is like no other. There is something for everyone. We offer the Vermont 50 mile Mountain Bike Race, Womens 2-person Bike Relay, Over 60 2-person Bike Relay, 50 mile Ultra Run, 50K Endurance Run, 2-3 Person 50 mile Run Team Relay and the Kids Fun Runs and Bike Rides.
NOTE-This race does NOT allow E-Bikes.

As well as to make our school a safe and fun community for staff members, students, and families by organizing and hosting family events and teacher appreciation days throughout the year.
Connor’s Climb is more than a 5K — it’s a chance to take action for youth mental health.
By registering and fundraising for Connor’s Climb, you are supporting Connor’s Climb Foundation, a local nonprofit dedicated to suicide prevention education. Race for the Refuge
The Highland City Striders welcome you to explore the trails at the Assabet River National Wildlife Refuge in Sudbury, MA! The Race for the Refuge begins at the ARNWR Visitor’s Center and traverses the beautiful trails around the Refuge. The course will lead runners into this idyllic nature refuge, past ponds, through pine and oak forests, and alongside mysterious military bunkers.
Course Description
The double track trails are hard-packed earth and gravel. It’s a great course for beginner trail runners. For the advanced trail runner, it could be an opportunity for a new PR!
Events
The lineup features a 10K (1 loop) and 30K (3 loops) races, and a 6-hour timed event.
For the timed courses, runners may do as many loops as desired. A loop must be completed by 3pm to be counted towards final mileage. Ranking of runners is determined by the runner who completes the most loops in the shortest period of time. Runners in the 6-hour race must start their last lap by 2pm.
The top male, female, and nonbinary runner from each of the events (10k, 30k, 3-hour, and 6-hour) will receive a prize. The largest team will also be celebrated, so please encourage friends and fellow club members to join you!
Race Day Rules
Dogs are not permitted on Refuge lands, so please leave your pooch at home. This event is family-friendly but children must be supervised.
Tread lightly through the refuge and please leave no trace! This will be a cupless race to eliminate waste on the course. Any fuel, such as gel packets, should be carried in and packed out. Due to the delicate ecosystem any littering is grounds for immediate disqualification. All runners must stay on the marked course.

Aid Stations and Course Marking
There will be two aid stations with typical trail race fare including water, hydration, hydration mix, pretzels, orange slices, banana halves, Swedish fish, coke, and ginger ale. The main aid station will be at the Start/Finish line. A second aid station at Taylor Road is about halfway through the loop. Note this is a cupless race.
All runners will receive swab with registration and prizes will be awarded to top winners in each category.
The course will be well marked for the runners with two course marshals at key turns.
Pacers
Pacers are allowed to assist runners in the 6-hour race only. They may start at noon or later and must complete an online or paper registration form. Upon arrival at the race, the pacer will check in at the race director table and receive a pacer bib. One pacer at a time per runner and no muling is allowed. Pacers can use the aid stations at no cost and there is no registration fee to pace a runner.
Cancelation and Refunds
There are no deferrals and no refunds. Your entry fee will be considered a charitable donation and used for nature education and trail improvements. Thank you for your support.

About the Refuge
Centuries ago, these lands were hunted and fished by Nipmuc Tribes. Later, they were farmed by colonists, intersected by a railroad, and used for military training. You will run past military bunkers that were in use when the area was known as the Sudbury Training Annex, which was part of Fort Devens. The US Army transferred the land to the US Fish and Wildlife Service in 2000, establishing the Refuge.
Since then, the Refuge has become home to freshwater wetlands, oak and pine forest, and shrubland that support many types of wildlife, including wading birds, songbirds, raptors, beaver, bobcat, white-tailed deer, and various reptiles and amphibians.
Proceeds from this race will help fund improvements to three refuge sites in MA and a volunteer coordinator who will assist visitors to the refuge with nature education and programming.

We are runners in Hudson, Marlborough, and surrounding communities. Founded in 2002, our members meet several times weekly to run various distances for fun and to keep in shape! We run, recover, have fun, and laugh together. The Highland City Striders is a non-profit 501(C)3. All race profits will go to local charities.

This year’s Hit the Trail promises to be an unforgettable day with an essential mission! Celebrate and recreate on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail by lacing up your running or walking shoes or climbing onto your bicycle. Funds raised make it possible for your neighbors to age with dignity and choice, accessing essentials like groceries or emergency fuel as well as affordable prescription drug plans and free evidence-based exercise classes.
Take your bike to Johnson (15 miles round-trip) or Cambridge (30 miles round-trip), or lace up your sneakers for a timed 5K run or walk on the Lamoille Valley Rail Trail.
Millis Boosters Run Back to School 5k and 1 mile Fun Run
The Boosters are excited to be hosting our fun, community "Run Back to School" event for our 8th year!! Join us for a 5k course of rolling hills through Millis or a 1 mile fun run on the school grounds. All proceeds go to the athletes and teams of Millis Middle/High School as well as projects that support the entire Athletic Department. We look forward to having kids, parents, families, and community members join us for a morning of fun, fitness, music, and celebration. We welcome runners, walkers, and strollers! Our 5k is chip-timed by Second Wind Timing and an immediate print out of your results will be available. Check-in and race day registration will begin at 7:30am and we encourage you to arrive at least 30 minutes ahead of your race starting.

Who does the race benefit and who does it honor?
Our race benefits the young girls of Cambridge. The Cambridge Girls Softball League and other girls' sports teams are the primary recipients of the funds from the race. These great organizations work on team building, athletic skills, and strengthen the connection among physical, mental and social well-being of girls. We've raised over $130,000 for girls' sports in Cambridge!
Post-Race Block Party
After the race there will a block party outside Paddy's until 7PM. Walden Street will be closed off to traffic and there will be a large beer garden, food trucks, and a DJ.

The Tucker Tour is what you get when you connect all of the amazing Class VI roads in and around Mount Kearsarge and Ragged Mountain in beautiful central New Hampshire. What is a Class VI road you ask? Well, the state of NH defines a Class VI road as an existing public way that has “not been maintained and repaired by the town in suitable condition for travel thereon for 5 successive years or more.”

What does this mean for those of you looking to tackle the Tucker Tour? Well, you can expect every sort of terrain, from paved and gravel roads all the way to completely unrideable hike-a-bike paths through the woods and everything in between. The 80 mile course has only 15 miles of paved roads and around 38 miles of unmaintained Class VI. Many of these paths are quite steep, which only adds to the difficulty. In summary, this is a ride that is much harder than its distance might indicate.

If the 80 mile course seems a bit much, there is a 62, 36, and a 24 mile course as well. We strongly suggest loading multiple routes on to your computer/phone in case you start on the 62 mile route, but don’t have great legs and need to switch to the 36 mile route.
This is a 100% self-supported ride. Each participant is expected to be able to navigate on their own using the provided .gpx route or Strava route. There is no cue sheet and no navigational aids along the course. As far as provisions go, there are 2 general stores/gas stations along the route at approximately 19 miles and 54 miles.

About the Bear Brook Classic
State 9 Racing is back for year number 10, the Bear Brook Classic will be Saturday, October 3, 2026. Bear Brook State Park, in Allenstown NH, offers a wide variety of trails for us to design a great course with a great mix of flow and tech singletrack. The course will be approximately 6 miles long and 8 miles long for Marathon.
Race Day food will be provided by our own BBQ chef.

Gorey Hollows VIII features 4 ride options for ‘26. There's the classic brutal 90 mile ATB race, with the rocky class 4 roads and extended hike a bikes, the 60 mile Scramble (pick any two of the ATB race loops) and the Ramble (pick any 1 of the ATB race loops). We also have added in an ‘Amble’ ride, for folks who wanna get out and enjoy the changing seasons but don't want to walk up some terrible climb or do huge miles. Finally, we're making the ‘Just hanging out’ option permanent. If you or your friend / partner / etc wants to just come, drink some good coffee, eat a donut, and chow down on some dinner, this is the category for you. More info on the ride options at the bottom of these notes.
All Routes are self navigated with minimal or no sag. You'll get a GPS track and some notes, that's it. No sag, no medical support, nothing but a nice camp fire to come back to and some good food.
All Analog events are rain or shine. If you think you can't make it, get the event insurance, it's only a few bucks. No refunds for cancelations. It's like a concert, not a dinner reservation.
This year, for the first time ever, there is a legit prize for the Race, a handmade ATB wheelset, plus the usual Pie and donut prizes. We'll break it down this year: First prize gets the wheels, second gets the pie and 3rd gets the donuts. Your race fee gets you dinner, but not breakfast, cause no one is eating anything at 4am. If you are doing any of the other categories, your entry fee gets you a pour over coffee, a handmade donut, and a big autumnal dinner spread (all of that from our friends at the Poultney Pub) plus a cooler full of free for all Octoberfest Beers and NAs, plus the ride of course!
The Gorey Hollows features some of the SKOV (Southwest Kingdom of Vermont’s) most scenic (and gnar) ATB riding. Plus ya know, Class 4 roads which are dirt roads that are not generally maintained and sorta left to fall to pieces. Poultney’s road maintenance budget is basically non-existent, so our class 4 roads are wonderfully terrible. Expect wash outs, ‘gravel’ the size of GMO grapefruits, steep grades and wonderful views. The ride weaves in and out of the woods and farm lands. Plenty of climbing but lots of great eye candy, like cows and red barns.
A note about camping: in the past, we've had folks sign up for camping thru bikereg. This year, we're doing the camping registration thru hip camp. It'll cost you less if you're in a group or even if there is just two of you. We'll email info about camping sign ups to you as soon as you register.
We revamped the Gorey Hollows format for ‘24. Feedback was universally positive, so we're sticking with the new format. In the spirit of Choose Your Own Adventure books (originally published in Vermont!) you decide your destiny. Three possible loops. Racers have to do all 3, but pick the order of the loops. Scramblers pick any 2 and choose the order. Ramblers pick one. Loops start and end at the sugar house HQ, so you can restock on water, food, clothing.
The Amble is 15ish miles. Dirt roads, a rail trail, a class 4 road, one big hill. It's doable, chill, you can use any bike that isn't a road bike, more or less. Ideally 38mm plus tires and low gearing. James will be leading this ride, very slow group pace.
The Ramble is 30ish miles, dirt roads, plenty of climbing, bushwacking, singletrack and some sketchy class 4 roads. Doable on a bike with decently low gearing and 50mm tires. One of the loops has less than 4k of climbing, most ramblers will probably want to do that. This is a very hard 30 miles. It took ramblers over 5 hours last year. Self Navigated.
The Scramble is 60ish miles. Very difficult, even if you pick the easiest loop and one of the two hard loops. Many riders will not finish the scramble. You need to bring lights in case you get caught in the dark. Lots of folks will not finish the 60 miles before sundown. Self Navigated.
The Race is 90ish miles, with around 13,000 feet of climbing. Singletrack, horrible rocky roads, check points, hike a bikes, and other sketch delights. Hardest, most ridiculous ATB ride you'll ever do, we bet. 1 rider finished the race last year, out of a field of 25 or so. Starts early. Totally self supported old school race. Winner gets a nice alloy ATB wheelset, second place gets pie and third some donuts. You have to do all 3 loops to win, in any order. Loops are directional. You can pick which to start with but you have to do them in a set direction. Self Navigated.
Rules for 2026 race:
To podium, the following stuff is banned: Aero Bars, Suspension forks, suspension frames, suspension Seatposts and stems. E bikes are of course banned. You can race with any of this stuff, but your results will not count toward the official record.
Mandatory Race time cuts so we are not up till 11pm waiting for you to come back.
One bike, one set of wheels and tires. No swapping bikes like it’s a cross race.
Racers can refuel, change clothes, take naps, at Analog HQ in between loops.
Mandatory check in after every loop.
The Gorey Hollows is a different kinda ride. No ride leader. No sag wagon. It's more like a free for all with a common course and goal. These roads are impassable to all but the most modified jeeps. Nothing is marked. You have to use your cue sheet and a GPS track to make it through.That's not impossible, but you have to pay attention. There won't be any cell service for most of the ride. We will release the GPX track a few days before the race via email.
Pre Ride Stuff:
Racers: get here at 4:00, race starts at 5am. Scramblers: Leave at 8am. Ramblers: Leave at 10am. Amblers leave at 11am. Donuts and coffee at 7:30am and 9am

Post ride:
Fire pit hangs at the old Analog Sugar House. Cheer on racers as they finish laps and become more and more worn out! Autumn Feast provided by our friends at Poultney Pub. If you saw the taco scene at the 4x4 you know these will be good. Optional camping at the Analog HQ as well. We’ll have some refreshments, but mainly this is a BYOB kinda deal.

When: Saturday, October 4, 2025 - 8:30 a.m. Start. Rain or Shine.
Where: Silver Towers Camp
Details: The race will start and finish at Silver Towers camp.
There is a shorter version available - (27 miles, 2700 vertical). Participants will receive an award but we will not do top 3 per category for this distance. Please inform race staff if you intend to do the shorter version.
Gritus will feel adventurous and you'll have a couple of hefty climbs. The course features nearly 4,700 feet of vertical.
There are some amazing views on the course and it's scheduled during peak foliage. Cyclists are 100% responsible for navigating the course. There will be no directional arrows on the course. We recommend Ride with GPS app and bringing a copy of the cue sheet. There will be one water stop. Entrants will receive Endurance Society swag and finishers will receive a finisher's award. A unique award will be presented to top 3 in each category.
