The KP High School SADD chapter will host its annual Miles for Maura fundraising event, a 5K Run/Walk in memory of Maura D. Howard on Sunday, May 3.

On July 31, 1994, on her way home from a weekend trip with friends, Maura was killed by a drunk driver who was speeding recklessly down the highway. Because of this destructive decision, life for Team Howard and Maura's extended loving family and friends has never been the same. Honoring Maura's memory is our top priority. Spreading awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving through scholarships for graduates of KP, Maura's alma mater, is a critical piece of the mission. Thank you so much for your participation.

    Participant fee:

    Ages 0-5 Free

    Ages 6-18 $10

    Ages 18+ $25

Note: The Untimed Walk has no bib and does not get timed.

PIONEERS Run Crew is a transformative and influential running community that has been reshaping the Boston running scene since its founding in April 2017. Established by Sidney Baptista, the crew was created to directly address the lack of diversity in the city's running culture by building a welcoming and inclusive hub in the Dorchester neighborhood. With a "no runner left behind" policy, a community of over 500 members, and a powerful lineup of their own signature races like the 26.TRUE Marathon, PIONEERS is a true lifestyle and a force for positive change.
