RED'S RACE FOR A BETTER COMMUNITY

The 43rd Annual Red's Race “Race for a Better Community” 2026 is a 5 mile road race and introducing a 5K race course, open to anyone interested in either running or walking in this annual event. Participants span from the serious runner to recreational joggers enjoying a challenging, yet beautiful running course, to families and community members of all ages and sizes walking the route.

When you take part in this historic community event, you are also helping to raise much needed funds for two local non-profit organizations that provide important services in Strafford County. Bonus!

Reds Race is the 2^nd race of the 2026 Dover Race Series. Join the series now at www.doverraceseries.com and start your trek to earn the DRS jacket while supporting our community!

Event registrations are non-refundable.

Online registration closes at 12:00 pm on April 9, 2026. Please join us at Red's Shoe Barn on April 10th during bib pick up or the morning of April 11th to register after April 9th.

SMA 5K Run/Walk

The SMA 5K Run/Walk is the second race of the Dover Race Series! We are excited to welcome runners/walkers of all ages to our annual road race on Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Saint Mary Academy in Dover, NH. This event features awards, prizes, t-shirts, and community fun! Monies from this event provide enrichment opportunities for the students of Saint Mary Academy.

Online registration closes April 14th at 11:59 pm.

In person registration and pre-race bib pick-up is Friday, April 17th 4:15-6 pm

or race day Saturday, April 18th starting at 7:00 am for $30.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

All proceeds from the Spirit of Recovery race benefit The Triangle Club located in Dover, NH. The Triangle Club‘s mission is to promote the spiritual, physical & mental health of people in recovery from addiction to alcohol and other substances, and to provide a safe place for those who acknowledge that staying substance-free is of primary importance. Captain Jack Casey Memorial 5K will be held at St Thomas Aquinas High School May 24, 2026 at 9AM. Jack was born and raised in Dover, NH. He was a CH53E helicopter pilot and was killed, with four other Marines, on 2/7/2024.

In life, Jack had a positive impact on so many people, with his light humor, leadership, and willingness to help others in any way he could. We strive to have Jack's legacy continue to help others and improve their lives.

This 5K helps fund a secondary education scholarship for local high school seniors, cadets at Virginia Military Institute, Lexington VA., as well as technical college students.

We are happy to be part of Dover Race Series this year. You can sign up for Jack's race on this website, same as last year, or if you are part of The Dover Race Series you can also sign up through their website.

Participants are welcome to run or walk.

Register by Jack's Birthday APRIL 19 to get a free race shirt

Register ONLINE until 9:00 AM the day of the race. Bib pickup is Saturday May 23 from 3-4:30 PM at STA and beginning at 7:30 AM the day of the race
